You need to do a weekly story telling session. The art of storytelling is really dying out, i remember like 5 years ago you told many great stories.
gr8 story!!
Great story!
I love this
I worked at a golf course and there was a quake in Whittier like 6 years ago or so. I was on the putting green (alongside the main road) on lunch break and I heard a loud rumbling noise coming up the road, like a big rig with shakey cargo. I'm looking at the road like "damn, that's a loud truck" and right when I thought that I started seeing the light poles start rocking back and forth, one after another, coming closer to me and then the waves rolling under me. It was the gnarliest feeling EVER. It was a rolling quake, not the explosive tectonic pop quakes, so both of my feet were reacting to the waves of this shockwave independently from one another, like riding over a bunch of hips on a board. When I got back to the shop, they said it hit the building more violently, but out in the wide open on really short, compact soil and grass made it feel so crazy. I WAS RIDING THE WAVES DUDE! Land surfin
I was skating in Naples,italy at the time 1992 - 1996 + kryptonics TEAM Kbar 9.0
“And all the vampires walking through the valley, move west down ventura boulevard” - Tom Petty

Wow one year later
Yep, I was in a 3 story apt. building in Woodland Hills and everything in that place was all thrown all over the floor. We moved to a one story house right after that.
A 3-day blowout, bagel side drama and no $ required to check out!!
I was born in Northridge days after the quake, soon to be 25
My bro and I just heard this story on some Lucy and it made our night. Thank you so much man. You're a true inspiration
Well you have guts or something. I was in the 1989 one too and I remember all of the after shocks. Tons of them. There would be no way that after a big earthquake I would be going up to hang out on the 4th floor while the aftershocks were going on. My normal instinct is to bolt outside once I sense that there's a real earthquake going on. Wild story about the craziness in bagel shop. I enjoyed listening to the story.
Great story from a great dude 🤟
were you there during the riots?
Following this question....
Very funny, I too experienced the Northridge earthquake. I was living on the miracle mile off of wilshire blvd near la brea and at 415am my eyes woke up like a cartoon boing and I asked myself "why can't i fall asleep" 15 minutes later my question was answered. Yes, this dude is right, we had a ton of aftershocks and even the aftershocks were frightening. You knew who in your area (neighborhood) had car alarms cause, they all went off at the same time.
Woodland Hills was the area
Big ones, Bagels, Bong Rips, Buggin Jews, Brilliant!
