Fun fact: Many are unaware that Robert Louis Stevenson's 1881 novel, "Treasure Island" was not entirely fictional and was inspired by true events involving a Spanish galleon named Nuestra Senora de Guadalupe and BVI's Norman Island. In fact, one of the largest treasures ever plundered was buried in the British Virgin Islands on Norman Island. If you want to know all the juicy details, there's a great book called "Treasure Island, The Untold Story" by John Amrhein Jr.. It recounts the entire thrilling true tale upon which Stevenson based his novel. A great beach read while in the BVI! Hugs!
