- A car is fully customized in the 50’s and then put in storage in 1958. It’s just been found and we travel to Asheville, NC to try and buy it. #barnfind #customcars #oldschool
Sounds so nice Great ride Thanks for sharing
Thanks for watching my channel!
Congrats on buying the car. Pretty cool! There's no better feeling than finding an auction, seeing a car you really want, then being the top bidder and taking it home! You done good!😊 Now you've got a couple really nice projects!
🙏🙏🙏
So glad you were able to snag the old 4 door convert custom. That thing could be such a cool old cruiser! Good luck!
Nice score at the auction. 👍
What a score Couple of really cool cars the old custom is a time capsule can’t wait to see the progress on both of them two thumbs up
A Biltmore Dairy sign. Very collectable now. It's a killer car ! Don't know how I missed this auction.
Love the 36 custom and that early T roadster was cool too.
I like your style. Great story telling about your great treasure. I am eager to see more of your PUDDING CREEK ROD SHOP videos. Kind regards, from Blaine Halley in Santa Cruz, CA. Happy to subscribe and will be sharing your video with my car guy and gal friends and family.
Thank you!
Congratulations. ! Those are very very worthwhile projects. ...! Engine sounds ok too. ....! Have fun !
That truck reminds me of the one on the walton's
The custom '36 Ford and the '37 Chevy coupe are nice finds. In an old photo album I found photos of my grandfather with a '37 Chevy coupe that he bought new but was quite out of character for him so I don't think he owned it long. He was always class conscious and preferred big cars. Later he bought a '48 Packard four door new and his last car was a '94 Lincoln town car. Unfortunately my grandfather always looked down on manual labor and did not like to get his hands dirty. He avoided learning how to do any automotive repair work himself. Ironically his father (my great grandfather) was a mechanic in WW1. My Grandfather was born in 1911. He was proud of having never even rode on the back of a motorcycle and he never owned any kind of performance car. A stripped down Ford hot rod was the last thing he would have wanted to be seen in. I always marvel at all of the automotive fun my grandfather missed out on due to his class conscious attitudes.
Good story…
Man that flatty in the custom sounded sweet....
Yes it has nice toned rumble! 😎
The rain never fails!!
Murphy's Law!!!
🙌🙌🙌
Maybe you can find out the history on the 36 ! Maybe it’s in some of the old custom car magazines or car shows and you can figure out who built it ! There’s a guy on CZcams called RIK Hoving he does computerized images of custom cars maybe he can make one of yours to see what it looks like finished with that cool custom Carson Top ?! COOL you got your dream cars !
Rik is the man for history for sure
Man. That was fun to watch. !!!!
Your a lucky bastard, right there! I dig the 37 Chev., coupes too. Having owned several 37-39s. The 36 conv. Sedan is a fantastic 1 of a kind find. Too cool too mess with much!,,,DUBS,,
Couple of grand for my dream model T...that was so nice....one day lol
Did you ever find out who built the 1936 Ford? I’m a historian in Asheville and would love to know about it. A lot of Saxon’s were sold in Asheville by Eugene Sawyer at the Sawyer Motor Company in downtown Asheville
I didn’t know there was a Saxon dealer in Asheville. Good info. I’m working on a long video with more history of the Asheville Custom. Stay tuned…
that model t was a good deal. the 31 model a wasn’t a bad price (wasn’t that great either) but the body didn’t look in that bad of shape.
Im from Asheville area still live in WNC .That baby looks like a Bill Hines build out of California ? Idk but its super nice.
It sure does. I’m still digging up the history on it. I’ll make a new full video on it soon.
@@puddingcreekrodshopI'll ask a man in Hendersonville NC about it. He's been in the WNC hotrod scene since the mid 60s. He worked at VA hospital in Asheville many years. Subscribed.
Love the sound of a flathead Ford.
Cool Projects. Hello from Detroit. G
Hello Detroit!
Looks like the kind of auction i miss. Everything up in my area (Midwest) is online only. We're stuck bidding on what the auction company thinks is valuable. They scrap anything rusty & not bolted down. It's interesting to see that you also have one of those "bidders" that show up in dress clothes, constantly on the phone, but never bids. Trying to give the impression they're the guy with deep pockets working on behalf of some high roller
Puras joyas muy raras..!
Not Sure how I got Here but I ain’t Mad, I’ll Catch You on The Next One.
Mascot even
Good luck to you on your purchases. Will you build the 37 stock or customise it. It’s are super nats this weekend and there’s two 37s that come over from Belgium. Take care best wishes.
That's the one a College kid built 👍
5:58 looks like you were parked at Mill Wheel cafe that sits along Big Laurel ceek
East Tenn? Y'all know bout Erwin!!
I subscribed !
The early T roadster was next to the 36 custom.
Couple good fines there but if not saying or letting anybody see how much you pay for a car unless you’re in the high dollars or something I’d be one thing you’re trying to make money on it but clearly see how much the other car went for so there couldn’t be much more or less that’s not what you pay for the vehicle didn’t pay for that then they should’ve been at the auction and it got it themselves but since you were there, you were able to get it to him so that’s worth extra bucks take care of those mountains
What’s the point of all the secrecy..waste of time
I think it’s all part of the charm. What would you have paid for it?
I tend to agree....I like to let folks know what I paud on my channel, I figure it helps folks know what a bargain is, what a good deal is, what a bad deal is. I try to approach it that way
Is the car for sale?? My all time bucket car is a 40 Merc or 36 Ford….let me know please!!
Not for sale…sorry.
Where in east Tennessee are you located??
That's needed stuff
like 51 !
I love your channel well the content anyway. For God sakes get a proper camera or learn how to film with you phone TURN IT SIDEWAYS.!!!
I film this stuff gonzo style. Usually with one hand while I’m using the other hand building the cars. I appreciate you watching my channel!
not showing the auction on the kustom is stupid if you dont want people to know what you paid then stay of the internet
The car or kustom is worth as much as someone’s prepared to pay for it so why would you say what you paid for it. If you resell than you can decide to take the next price that is offered.
Wrong auctioneer...could have probably gotten more money.."who cares"?
I thought the auction and auctioneer did a great job promoting the auction, displaying the cars and parts, and prices were good. 😎
