I agree with your comments about people buying designer for social media, I think the majority of people definitely do buy it for that purpose. I don’t use social media at all though (except Twitter but I don’t post outfit photos or anything just the odd selfie lol) and I still love buying handbags. I don’t have the biggest collection, I think around 10-15, and I’ve never posted a photo wearing any of them. But I love the buying experience and I love how it ties together an outfit because I’m really basic with my outfits lol I just wear plain neutrals all the time. I also don’t mind buying bags because I know they last really well so I don’t think they’re a waste of money. I have one pair of designer shoes and when I saw how quickly shoes get ruined, I never spent money on an expensive pair again x
