      Karthikeyan, have 3 questions:
      1) Can we change the tyres to Pirelli from Remora?
      2) Is matte black and red combo available?
      3) How is the braking on wet roads?

    • @ratkutti
      @ratkutti  Před 5 lety +2

      1) They stopped offering it themselves, but you can get them from the market. Dealership is only offering Remora and not the Pirelli ones.
      2) No, only this glossy black and Red for ABS, apart from glossy White and red; no matte colours
      3) Wet road cornering grip could be a little bit better but nothing to worry about. Braking is awesome!

    Now the mileage is 60 kmpl but this mileage is only for 40 km speed. If I went 50 km speed the mileage is also 50 kmpl. If I went 70-80 the mileage is 43-45.

    Sweet looking bike. I've had an NS200 and now KTM Duke 390 and Benelli TNT15 (outside India). Some more cheap Mods which will give you a better experience.
    -K&N air filter
    -NGK spark plug and cable
    -Put a slightly larger jet for example 1.15mm versus 1.1mm
    -Go higher on the front sprocket or lower on the real sprocket for upto 10% in top end speed.
    -put a DID chain and sprocket so that there is no loss in power to the rear wheel
    -steel braided brake lines for better bite
    Ride safe and happy touring!

      After some reading and reviews, I discovered that K&N Air filters are truly horrible in India. The ones manufactured by local vendors or OEMs are of much higher quality than K&N in India.

It took me 45 minutes and around ₹700 to have it replaced. Everything mentioned was replaced except for the crash guard, we just sandpapered it to smooth the surface a bit and spray painted with a Matt Black aerosol paint can.

      I do not like RE in general as they lack in the electronics side, also it's unnecessarily over weight, can't corner and cannot be used for spirited riding, so having being open about my bias and the reasoning behind it, my suggestion would be for TVS obviously.
      If you're gonna go with RE, please go with Classic 350 ABS instead of the Thunderbird; as far as I know only 650, 350 and Himalayan has ABS for now. Pick something with dual channel ABS, it's a life safer bro.

    Bought RTR 200 4v 2.0 bike on 12-09-2018 which is my first bike. Till date 05-12-2018 I have visited the service center for atleast 6 times because of cold starting issue. There was other issue like sound near the engine which was "other then engine sound" for which they lubricated the sprocket and gave but the issue recurred, The handle bar doesn't turn to left freely for which they told" Caliper is mounted on to right because of unbalance it wont turn to left freely" I stay in Bangalore and it hardly drops to 18°C but the bike won't start in the morning for which they told " Use choke to start the bike in the morning and all the RTR 200 vehicle has to be started with the choke ON to start the vehicle in the morning"

    • @ratkutti
      @ratkutti  Před 5 lety

      It's even specified in the manual that we need to use choke when cold starting the engine, I always use it for 2-3 seconds and let the engine idle for 30 seconds or something until I wear my riding gears.
      When you move the bike forward, you might hear a sound; no amount of lubricant on the chain or the sprocket will make it go away; its just a simple thing and as far as I've observed, its not hindering the normal movements of the bike or the usage.
      Mine freely moves directions, however, when you see while sitting on the bike, the right side will have less gap between the fork and the side panel/air duct than the left; this is also by design; however, the free movement of the handlebar should be there; I suggest you to try a different service center. Good luck!
