It's a really cool feeling when you're driving at night and no one else is on the road, and music like this is playing. You can get lost in your thoughts and just think about life. It's peaceful

Silent HIll is still the best horror game series ever; the imagery, the locations, the sheer idea and weight of its plot and content is awsome.
The sound effects that play every 5 seconds in the song sound a little like the frogs that sing during warm summer nights. Makes it all the more beautiful.

I love it so much, just the overall feel and horror of the whole thing is just amazing.
Silent hill 3 was one of my favorites, it was the perfect blend of horror and reality.
I remember seeing this picture in a PlayStation magazine alongside a review of SH3, years before I would get a chance to play SH2, then 1 and 3.
The disturbing world I imagined from the few pictures never quite connected with the games I later played, a shame.
I always imagined this picture was some otherworldly (Bubble head) nurse wheeling an unconscious girl (Heather) through a subterranean area/cave to an unknown fate.

You could be right about that; Seeing as Lisa garland is a key character involved with Alyssa, and Heather is the other part of her reborn.

Sorry to comment on something so old, but I feel the same. I was a huge Resident Evil fan before ever trying Silent Hill. I saw reviews of the original at the time, and thought it was trying to ripoff RE so I kinda personally boycotted it. What a fool I was. My stepdad later bought SH3 when it was new and hated it, so he gave it to me. I was a Junior in high school at the time and this game redefined my fucking life, lol. Or at least as much as an overly-dramatic teenager would think it changed their life. I quickly played the entire series after that and loved them as well. I'd say I like the original least, SH2 second, and SH3 is still my favorite. Heather is my favorite protagonist still too. And the soundtrack from this game has stuck with me all these years later.
@@SpacePharaoh For me its SH2... i cant believe 23 years passed since i first played SH... time flies... Even though SH had great atmosphere and soundtracks i still think that the ambinece in SH3 and SH2 are way better. RE, SH, Alone in The dark... time when survival horror games had souls

If you stop and think, TRULY think about it for a moment, it's impossible to believe Akira did this to a videogame, specially 4 videogames that are just as good.

The longer life goes on, the more I find myself relating to this picture. This extended mix got me through college and is now my favorite focus song at work.

I'd just like to thank the uploader for this extended song and all of the other extended songs you've uploaded. Almost all of the Silent Hill games have amazing soundtracks and it's great to hear them over and over again like this. So basically, thank you is all I want to say.

I Find this soundtrack mysterious and joyful at the same time seeing Heather heart broken when she finds out that her dad was killed by Claudia and learning the truth about being part of alessa then finally coming to realization that the only way to avenge him is to defeat Claudia and move on to become a normal teenage girl that Harry always wanted her to be.

To the uploader, I believe this plays when you speak to Vincent I think, inside the medical building. Hospital Otherworld. Silent Hill 3 is my personal favorite, the two girls one fetus part was insane haha. I have one, two, three, four, six or seven, and Downpour, I do not have a PS2 or PSP to play origins on, or shattered memories, though I have played and beat both. I have played all of them, and beaten all of them except Book of Memories. I have three in my PC prepped to play as a matter of fact lol, I have been playing loads of video games in my free time lol.

Cant believe next year will be the 20th anniversary of the game. Time flies guys time flies... It was like yesterday playing SH, SH2 and SH3... This track by far is Akira's best work. (Well everything he did for SH-SH4 were masterpieces)... but this one is on whole another level. Love you all who Loves SH series...

Funny things is I found out about this song from some Silent Hill Homecoming trailer. SH soundtrack is my favorite of all games.
I was on the Bus coming home from work one night, I got off the bus about two villages before mine because there were some annoying attention whoring teenage girls acting cringeworthy [don't they all?] the quickest way to walk home is through this woodland path which knocks about 10-minutes off the journey, I walked home alone through the pitch black woodland trail using the shitty torch on my phone to light my way, all I thought of was this beautifully haunting soundtrack.
