To be honest, I still don't know why people even read it aloud. I mean, it's on the screen. People watching can read it themselves. There is enough time to read it silently. That being said, it can be funny watching people trying and failing to read it. Especially in ME1, you always know immeditately whether they are gonna fail... XD
I saved Kaidan with my Paragons and Ashley with my Renegades. And let's face it: Kaidan makes a lot of valid points. Ashley... well... it's a bit more hypocritical coming from her... 😅
Stoked! Best advice I can give is to always talk to your crewmates after each mission, no matter what. Much more dialogue/banter in this game than in ME2

Big thing for this game, you will NOT have enough money for everything and that's ignoring the weapon upgrade part. Some guns are worth two or three missions worth of funds/loot. Also gun mods are back and Armor parts change the bonuses you get (base armor is Health up, you don't have a helmet equipped from start for some reason).
If you're playing FemShep and not cultivating a steamy romance with Garrus you're playing it wrong. Same with MaleShep and Tali. I don't make the rules!

Been waiting for this! Can’t wait for more! Just some info about Nova: it’s a close quarters power that uses your barriers as its power source. It staggers most enemies and knocks them out of cover. It’s best to pair it with Charge since it refills your barriers, and then Nova uses it up. If you have a light enough weapon loadout, the ideal combo is Charge>Nova>Shotgun>Charge>repeat

It's not an amazing movie, but it's worth watching if you wanna know more about the random guy who just shows up and is all chummy with Shepard out of nowhere, especially if your only source of lore is the games...

I find the reaction to the opening of the third game interesting. Every playthrough I see everyone is so surprised that Earth falls at the beginning. When the game was released, we all knew Earth would fall. The entire marketing campaign was centered around the words "Take Earth Back." it's cool to see to see the difference trailers can have.
Also, the marketing for ME3 was FemShep focused. I remember my nearest GameStop had both the default Shepard and FemShep posters in each window for most of 2013
If you want to find out about who James is I urge you to watch "Mass Effect - Paragon Lost", it's an anime movie with James as the protagonist, it plays during the 2 years that Shepard was dead for in ME:2 and it's awesome.
Just to warn you you need to finish all the dlc before the second final mission priority Cerberus headquarters. Otherwise it locks all the areas afterwards and you are forced to go to earth and you can’t do them after the final mission because it goes back to just before the final mission when you go back to the save game
There's just an *insane* amount of detail for Liara's face this time around - minute details when she smiles, how her eyes crinkle, etc. They clearly spent a lot of resources on her and it paid off . . .
well as we been saying over and over, take your time and do all the sidequests before moving onto Priority missions, that includes scanning the planets, its not much when they dont stack up, but best of luck, im sure you got this, most sidequests are pretty fast (usually because most are from scanning planets)
Someone else may have already mentioned it, but James was voiced by Freddie Prinze Jr. If you're not familiar with him, he was a young heartthrob actor in the late '90s/early '00s. He's probably best known for the movie She's All That and for playing Fred in the live action Scooby Doo movies.
I'm only a few hours in but I totally agree, it feels like the threat is way too large and I have no idea how we're going to get out of it, if at all. Very excited to see where it goes.
21.36. Uum. Technically kaidens rank of major outranks shepards lieutenant commander rank when she left the alliance. So in the alliance he'd actually be in charge. 😬 But kaiden knows the history. The Normandy being shepards ship is just symbolic and kinda expected at this point though. Lol.
Short form is that Cannibals are Batarian Husks. We know from Arrival that Batarian space was closest to where the Reapers were arriving from outside the galaxy, so it makes sense that they would have stopped at a few of their planets on the way in.
Hey, you are great, and get ready for the ride! 😊 ME3 always had some glitches when it came to audio and the focus moment alerts. The red marker. Advice? When characters speak, freeze. Let them talk and then move again. It will help avoid the dialouge cutting off.

I only played as a Vanguard once, but I'm pretty sure Nova works by burning off your current barriers and turning it into an AOE Damage explosion. You might notice that that has good synergy with Biotic Charge, which you can upgrade to increase your barriers after a successful charge. so you charge in, get the boosted barrier, then use Nova and do a heap of damage. There are lots of cool combos like that that you can do. More than the previous two games, this one especially feels like it's designed for you to combo various abilities/powers.
Lucy I like to leave one recommendation! Referring to your intro speech. It's not game changing stuff so I'm not breaking your blind playthrough. There will be a mission, called Citadel: Shore leave. Leave this mission at the very end, AND BEFORE if you see a mission called Priority: Cerberus Headquarters. You will not regret it and as a viewer I think We will not regret it either. Gave me tears even if I'm a man. Yeah I had a lot of tears in this game anyway... but those were onion ninjas.
Haha, the moment where the Normandy shows up VERY nearly got me. Something about that music just hits different. I was a mess in the ME2 finale so I think I'm all cried out... for now
(Non DLC) "priority missions" move the story time forward and change the state of the universe. As a major consequence, some minor/side missions will autocomplete/fail if not done prior. Such outcomes are often... unfortunate. Very.

I must say that after commenting on your ME2 play through I am very proud of you. Although I always chose "Ashley" (my youngest daughters name) and played Paragon female as well that your emotional reactions mirrored mine and like I said I'm 68 years old and a grandfather. In the entire series from 1-3 full play through's from scratch I have 30,000-ish hours at least. It is always fresh and alive every time! They just don't make them like this anymore that ANYONE can play. "Andromeda" is a lot more complicated and set in a far future. Not as engaging in my opinion. 27:43 since your a Vangaurd all you ever need is Charge and Nova, because nova does high damage Area of effect for the cost of your Barrier and Charge recharges the lost Barrier, trust me, you want to get in close to the enemy and make them Regret they woke up today with the deadly Nova Charge combo. but here is a tip, since you got abilities, carrying too much gun will make your abilities charge slower, so best to use light weight guns (for now, depending how heavy the guns you carrying will depend on how they effect your Abilities cooldown Bonus), but most important to have fun fun fun!, but yeah you can go in close range of enemies and vaporize them, just practice and you will soon see.
Pro tip for when you have Liara in your squad: If enemies are approaching in an airborne vehicle, slap them with a Singularity; at least a few of them will be suspended where they are and take fall damage when they hit the ground after the vehicle flies off. Also, the only powers that have any effect on Guardians (the ones with the shields) are biotic powers that take enemies off their feet.

Love following your stream on twitch. You're right ME3 does feel a little more "combatty" compared to ME1 and ME2. But consider what's at stake! You mentioned possibly playing ME Andromeda. I'd recommend it. I don't play many games to their conclusion because either I don't have time or I lose interest in the game. Andromeda didn't fall into that camp. Sure the game got knocked around a bit upon launch. Being an ME game, it was over-hyped and like most new releases it was buggy and it was following on the heels of the insanely popular ME3 title. Andromeda has aged well though. The characters are interesting and the writing and storyline is compelling.

21.36. Uum. Technically kaidens rank of major outranks shepards lieutenant commander rank when she left the alliance. So in the alliance he'd actually be in charge. 😬
But kaiden knows the history. The Normandy being shepards ship is just symbolic and kinda expected at this point though. Lol.
Short form is that Cannibals are Batarian Husks. We know from Arrival that Batarian space was closest to where the Reapers were arriving from outside the galaxy, so it makes sense that they would have stopped at a few of their planets on the way in.

I only played as a Vanguard once, but I'm pretty sure Nova works by burning off your current barriers and turning it into an AOE Damage explosion. You might notice that that has good synergy with Biotic Charge, which you can upgrade to increase your barriers after a successful charge. so you charge in, get the boosted barrier, then use Nova and do a heap of damage. There are lots of cool combos like that that you can do. More than the previous two games, this one especially feels like it's designed for you to combo various abilities/powers.

You will not regret it and as a viewer I think We will not regret it either. Gave me tears even if I'm a man. Yeah I had a lot of tears in this game anyway... but those were onion ninjas.

(Non DLC) "priority missions" move the story time forward and change the state of the universe. As a major consequence, some minor/side missions will autocomplete/fail if not done prior. Such outcomes are often... unfortunate. Very.

I must say that after commenting on your ME2 play through I am very proud of you. Although I always chose "Ashley" (my youngest daughters name) and played Paragon female as well that your emotional reactions mirrored mine and like I said I'm 68 years old and a grandfather.
In the entire series from 1-3 full play through's from scratch I have 30,000-ish hours at least. It is always fresh and alive every time! They just don't make them like this anymore that ANYONE can play.
"Andromeda" is a lot more complicated and set in a far future. Not as engaging in my opinion.

27:43 since your a Vangaurd all you ever need is Charge and Nova, because nova does high damage Area of effect for the cost of your Barrier and Charge recharges the lost Barrier, trust me, you want to get in close to the enemy and make them Regret they woke up today with the deadly Nova Charge combo.
but here is a tip, since you got abilities, carrying too much gun will make your abilities charge slower, so best to use light weight guns (for now, depending how heavy the guns you carrying will depend on how they effect your Abilities cooldown Bonus), but most important to have fun fun fun!,
but yeah you can go in close range of enemies and vaporize them, just practice and you will soon see.

Pro tip for when you have Liara in your squad: If enemies are approaching in an airborne vehicle, slap them with a Singularity; at least a few of them will be suspended where they are and take fall damage when they hit the ground after the vehicle flies off. Also, the only powers that have any effect on Guardians (the ones with the shields) are biotic powers that take enemies off their feet.

It should also be mentioned that you can also use pull to yank the shield out of their hands

Love following your stream on twitch. You're right ME3 does feel a little more "combatty" compared to ME1 and ME2. But consider what's at stake! You mentioned possibly playing ME Andromeda. I'd recommend it. I don't play many games to their conclusion because either I don't have time or I lose interest in the game. Andromeda didn't fall into that camp. Sure the game got knocked around a bit upon launch. Being an ME game, it was over-hyped and like most new releases it was buggy and it was following on the heels of the insanely popular ME3 title. Andromeda has aged well though. The characters are interesting and the writing and storyline is compelling.
