Because of the same problem that Neuropozyne prevents, the building up of glial tissue and the rejection of augmented body parts I think. And If they do invent a drug like Neuropozyne in the future I hope they look at this game before releasing stuff like this to the masses.

well, its 2018 now... almost 2019... and I've just saw an amazing video of a real prostetic hand built with 3D printed parts... this will become a reality not too far into the future... much more close than we ever realized... yes it will be costly at first... but thanks to cheap materials and production processes it will become a reality for most of us...

So you know, my previous post was not true, but you can see where it has it's place. The game is fantastic.
I am completely human, aside from digestive surgeries and a titanium clamp installed in my GI tract. Human repair is worth the while... but please, don't modify your body unless it needs to be modified. People ask if I have augmentations... I wear glasses, I use head phones, I have used night vision, controlled robots, etc. People have hearing aids, limbs, and even lasik. It's happening.

the cool thing about the vid is that this could possibly be the future for prosthetics.like for example this week a director for an up coming movie ( i dont know what it's called) had his false eye turned into a video camera so he could make his movie with it which sounds pretty weird but kick ass at the same time
Actually, there is a paraplegic woman who has a Brain Machine Interface implant for around five to six years that still works very well today. There is also Kevin Warwick to note, whom experienced an increase in the growth of his nerve cells around the implanted electrodes--essentially bounding to them like what happened with Adam Jensen.
man, square enix. i thought this was an actual thing. great job setting up the game, you really made alot of people think this was real. i'm definetly getting the game, i'm loving it already.

i totally thought this was an add at first and didn't start paying attention until the video was about over.
I think that regrowing limbs will be future,let your body fix it self, would be cheaper and effective,but robotic limb would be an option for some with different demands. But it will be highly integrated technology and highly optimized production.

@thereignofdarkness it already is... even without sarif, a lot of companies in the medical and robotic field explore these possibilities. The term "future" becames, with each day, closer to what we know as the present.

As a real human with real human augmentations (for medical reasons, not for pleasure), I can say that proper implementation of brain micro-controllers for life support and vision, a synthetic leg that can feel and move just like my original used to, and muscular/skeletal implants to restore body functions, real human augmentation has it's place. I was technically killed in Iraq. As Dale said in I Robot, read the fine print. It's not just what they can take out, It's what they can put in too.
This would make such a badass movie.

If you read between the lines, I think they all opted to have said limbs removed and replaced. It's what leads into the great augmentation debate. Should people be allowed to replace parts of their bodies simply to get better at what they do?
If it's allowed, it supports a system where the rich get richer and the poor get poorer. On the other hand, isn't it every individual's right to do anything they want with their own body?

@9AlexB6 lol? they were shot in real time, they're not cgi, those eyes, & only the hands were cgi but the other shots are done using a camera, not produced in a computer...

The Machanical augmentations are cool but to be honest if I could choose between Machanical Augments or Nanotechnological Augments that were inside My body and couldn't be seen but could do all that and more. I'd have to take the Nanotech Augments.

@crippin798 You missed the context of what I was saying. We obviously have both jetpacks and robotics like the one in the video, but they're not mainstream or as practical as people would like.

Like everyone else I think the connection of veins and nerves to wires and software would be amazing if it became real. But, we have more problems than in the game. Sure, we'd have to deal with our bodies fighting/rejecting them - our bodies mistaking them as "bad"; we'd have the problem of connecting nerves to wires. How do you get your brain to talk in 1's and 0's like a computer? As cool as all this is, we may have to let evolution evolve us.
Well it is probably a look into the future.But I think this game is gonna be pretty good I liked the first one alot back in the ps2 days.
