- Sorry for the re-upload everyone. Had to deal with false copyright claims on one of the songs I purchased and just figured the best move would be to use a diff song and reupload.
But besides that, I had a ton of fun making this video especially because it's based on the true story of the sinking of the Titanic! Lemme know what y'all think about the film now that it's 25 years old, how does it stand the test of time?
Don't forget to leave a like and sub if you enjoyed!! - Zábava
That’s not OCD. It’s attention to detail. There’s a big difference
rather offensive to anyone with OCD too
Titanic
Crazy how the movie ended up costing the exact same amount as the real thing
That alternate ending is so bad I’m glad they changed it😭 it just feels so out of character for everyone involved
I've always thought that Jack and Rose were Cameron's depiction of Romeo and Juliet
Star crossed lovers forbidden to be together
I always imagined those two as romeo and juliet whenever I read the story, those were the faces that popped in.
On that note there was of course no Jack and Rose romance but there was a Jack Thayer in 1st-class (not 3rd) and a Rhoda Mary “Rosa” Abbott (née Hunt) in 3rd class (not 1st). They both survived the sinking
2:00 You can almost imagine Cameron having a conversation with someone and saying "It's not possible! What, are people going to go see it in the theater three times?!!" Yes, James. And even more.
That part about the old Macy's couple who died together made me start to cry. That's so stinkin sad
Shane, look up who the submarine pilot was related to.
That's so sinkin' sad.
Huh? What?
I would have done the same. We lived together, we can die together.
If there is a single hope for Man is dying an honorable death, and those two absolutely did. Beautiful story
Me too 😢
The mythbusters episode always cracks me up, james Cameron is basically saying "guys, it's just a movie".
But with such attention to detail at least use a door that only 1 can fit
16:09 Even James Cameron himself has said that was an accurate description of what it feels like to be submerged in freezing water, based on his own experiences with ice fishing when he was growing up in Canada.
I thought he said he grew up in Chippewa Falls, Wisconsin?
@@tawnikitari No, that was Jack. Cameron is Canadian, and he used the character of Jack as mouthpiece for that moment in the movie when he's describing freezing water. (Also fun fact about that scene, it's also one of the few inaccuracies in the movie, where Jack said he used to go ice-fishing on a manmade lake in Wisconsin that turns out didn't exist until 1918, well after Titanic.)
It's cold and very uncomfortable, but not that painfull really.
"Not painful"- what a retarded thing to say
You forgot that James Cameron had an affair during this movie. While filming the smash hit Titanic, Cameron began an affair with Suzy Amis, who plays the elderly Rose Calvert's granddaughter Lizzy. Despite the affair, he married Linda Hamilton in 1997. But after only eight months, he left her again for Amis, who he is still with today.
How scandalous
Bro had that dawg in him
A true titanic love story 💞👏🏻
James a dawggg
No one cares
The scene with Strausses should have been included. It's not that long, but such emotional
Truly
(In reference to the whole “Jack could have survived” shtick) not to mention, in one of the official documentaries, Cameron finally tested it himself.
Ultimately he did conclude that yes in an alternate scenario, Jack very much could have made it. But in the heat of the moment, all he could think about was not doing anything to jeopardize Rose’ survival.
That is what he said, but in addition you could also make the argument that simultaneously it plays on to the fact that when you are in that much cold water, you can hardly think straight. Especially coming off the fear of being on a sinking ship.
But Still I Wonder If Eva Also Survived Auschwitz Aswell 🤔 That Would've Been Sadder If She Did Because She Would Be Telling Her Story To Other Prisoners 😭😭😭😭😭😭
Isador Strauss.. a TRUE gentleman.
There are more good, interesting facts describing how Titanic was made in this video than any other I've ever watched 😊 Thanks

Can you recommend me more videos about this?
More good?
As in "more better"?

Just like in the real Titanic, in the movie, the grand staircase broke off and floated away.
That was actually one of the main things that convinced historians that the real stairs did break off.
It's so nice to see someone highlighting some of the great details about the film! It seems like most every video I'm ever recommended are just people complaining about things. Sometimes even thinking things are flaws or mistakes when they aren't. Great job and great video quality, too 🙂
What a life
In regards to lifeboats in the fourth funnel: the original designs of the ship had it carrying 64 lifeboats, but as regulations didn’t require that many, they opted for the bare minimum in order to keep the ocean view clear (as stated in the movie). After Titanic sank, her sister Olympic’s lifeboat compliment was raised to 64.
Not for views. Movie isn't the best source. As you said before, it was because they didn't think beyond the regulations. It wasn't the norm back then. They saw lifeboats are ferries.
This is innacurate, as they actually were still above the minimum. Titanic was required to carry atleast 16, yet carried 20. The regulations were also based on weight rather than capacity.
Another mistake is that the did not have flashlights in 1912 as the scene shows of the officers using them in lifeboats looking for survivors
Slightly incorrect. Flashlights did exist in 1912, but they were not used when titanic sank and that particular model of flashlight was made after 1912
Ive read that James Cameron knew this, but needed a way to light the scene so bent historical accuracy for ease of lighting.
Flashlights were invented in 1899.. however the gun that was used in the movie did nt exist until later
I’ll file this under “who cares”.
That was the absolute BEST video about the Titanic out of over 400 I have seen! Superior! BRAVO!! Thank you very much!
The reason that scene was filmed first was James Cameron wanted them to have good chemistry and he thought the best ice breaker was that scene.
Likely also to utilitize some of the natural awkardness that wouldn't be so apparent if they filmed it already after Leo and Kate go to know each other better and kissed before the camera. Then again, guessing that supposedly Kate flashed Leo beforehand, she did definitely get the gist of the scene
The last part, with the alternative ending, would be so damn cruel hahaha
She deserved it tho fr
I laughed so hard when I saw that could've been the ending. It's the ending only Joss Whedon would've used 😂😂
its so nice that someone likes the titanic and not just me my classmates hate it so its so nice
Same
Why? Have they even watched it? My bf never really had bc he thought of it as a sappy chick flick love story and thought he'd absolutely hate it. Then he watched it with me bc he knew it'd make me happy and ended up liking it bc it had a good story and showed a disaster along with the sappy lovey dovey stuff. Tell your friends to not be so close minded.
"That really sucks lady!!!!"
I'm still lmaoooo
James Cameron is such a genius ❤
He copied A Night to Rembember, nearly verbatim. He just added Jack and Rose's fictional story.
About Number 22. Cameron did actually have a smaller door, but he asked Peter Lamont to build him a bigger one
U missed the fact that billy zane was Rock hard for the whole spitting scene every single take
LMFAO WHAAATT

That's a weird turn on.
I remember seeing a bulge in his pants after she left
Neil Degrasse is the type of guy to ask the teacher about the homework right after being dismissed from class.
he would then say he already identifies as a genius, and is therefor exempt from taking a simple test.
Great stuff. Titanic seems to be on repeat on showtime lately so it’s prompted hours of CZcams research. Glad to have stumbled on your video! 👍
Shocking detail about how meticulously everything was to be done considering the reversed picture afterwards wow
The moment when he looked at her like you want me to draw, you only wearing that literally it still gets me every single time bro CRR
Thank God they didn't use the alternate ending. The movie ending is perfect ♥️
James Cameron went to Titanic wreck to research it in order to make his movie as historically accurate as possible
Yes, many times. He’s phenomenal!
Still went with so many popular myths. The ship was accurate as possible.
I just realized there's another instance of the Mandela Effect. It's "Jack, I want you to _draw_ me like one of your French girls" but most people, as did I, remember the line being " [...] _paint_ me like one of your French girls"
Just another fun fact
The amount of research that went into the Titanic movie is insane. Almost every movement, object, and even extra is there for a reason and has a true story behind it. For example there was one seen where a extra looked at a character who was speaking in the moment because that person in real life heard the conversation but said nothing (I can’t remember what it was about)
this made me appreciate the movie and james even more....!!!
Jack didn’t get on the door because the whole point is to stay out of the water and if they both got on they would both be in the water.
I remembered draw
Victor Garber (Mr. Andrews) plays one of Reese Witherspoon's teachers (I think) in Legally Blonde not to mention he was also in Alias starring Jennifer Garner. Bernard Hill (Captain Smith) plays King Theoden in The Two Towers and Return of the King. Lastly, Ioan Gruffudd (Fifth officer Harold Lowe) plays Mr. Fantastic in the 2005 adaptation of Fantastic Four starring Chris Evans and Jessica Alba.
More fun facts:
Victor Garber is an original cast member of the original production of Sondheim’s musical Sweeney Todd (the musical the Johnny Depp movie of the same name is based on). He played Anthony Hope in the show.
Ioan Gruffudd is also known for playing Horatio Hornblower - also a seaman quite similar to Harold Lowe, except Hornblower setting is in regency period.
@@Girl-rj3qe Awesome! That is indeed more fun facts. Thanks. 👍
The old couple’s fate was cute ……..and 😢
that scene gets me every time!
):
Only one part you have wrong is that it was not a door, it was a door frame. The the top part of a door frame from the 1 st class dining room.
Jonathan Hyde plays Bruce Ismay. Mr. Hyde plays Alan Parrish's (Robin William's) father as well as Van Pelt in the original Jumanji.
James Cameron did not built an entire replica of Titanic for the movie. He only built one side of the ship and use green screens to show other parts of the ship
Yea and they clearly covered that here
That half is still in Mexico, and you can pay to tour it!
The heart of the ocean that was "cut" was the original in the cinema, at least when I saw it back then.
Imagine how fucked up it was for Roses husband. At the end all his life with Rose got wiped out. As a man this is a horror film 😂
Why would've his life got wiped out? It's really rare for a woman to love only one man in life time. Rose never set his husband in the corner table, both men were important for her.
Ok bill burr😂
that's so beautiful ❤
Tyson's beef with the starfield is just stupid. Dude, only people who study your field are going to notice or care.
He's the worst woke dumpster fire with a ph.D in dyson, cause he sucks so hard. He doesn't deserve the T, he identifies as 20% woman now.
This is really good.
On one of the last days of filming someone put “Angel Dust” in the food fed to the cast and crew, more than 80 people ended up in the hospital with hallucinations.
Not quite. This happened on the last day of filming the modern day portions. The last actual day of filming was several months later
That is as covered here, with the PCP-laced chowder.
This was a beautiful movie. I bawled at the end 😢. James Cameron had a lot of pressure on him, being responsible with all that money spent!
That alternate ending was God awful.
13:50 "Makes you wonder how many lifeboats they could storage in the smokestack". Sure. Just imagine while the ship is sinking they somehow open the goddman smokestack and pick lifeboats from it. Surely would work. These lifobats were huge and heavy things, that's why there had to be storaged on deck. You couldn't just have them hidden in a drawer.
O Brother Where Art Thou fact would be fuegoooo
when you panic you don't think straight so you don't think of putting the lifevest under the door
“The hell” got me so weak 😭
at 18:15 the mother putting her kids to bed is Jenette Goldstein who was Vasquez in Aliens and ALSO in Camerons Terminator 2 as janelle Voight, Johns step Mum, guess cameron likes her to be in his films
A quite interesting story I've heard about Ismay is that around the time "A Night to Remember" was released in November 1955 Walter Lord got a letter from England about the "remarkable finish" at the 1913 Derby in Epsom Downs. Craganour, the favourite, crossed the line first and was escorted to the winners' circle. Then, without a protest from anyone, it was placed second to Aboyeur. Craganour, Lord's correspondent said, was owned by Bruce Ismay, and I guess it doesn't need saying that after what happened the year before the establishment would never let an Ismay-owned horse win the hallowed Derby. Walter Lord then went to check the story. Everything turned out to be accurate except for one important detail. Joseph Bruce Ismay didn't own Craganour. His brother, Charles Bower Ismay, did. Still, Craganour remained second to Aboyeur. The reason? Craganour's original jockey had been replaced by an American one, Johnny Reiff. I don't know why that was but the move was immensely unpopular, and the discussions at the end of the race were a golden opportunity for the judges to discredit Reiff. Walter Lord, though, said that he still got letters afterwards still linking Bruce Ismay and Craganour together
There's no way that ending was ever intended to be real, had to be one of those ones that was filmed to trip people up if there were any leaks or something lol.
Nah it was real. Cameron just realized after filming that the story was no longer about Brock, so they changed it.
A previous ship had gone down due to a head on collision so titanic had been built with a false nose to take the impact of such an event. I don't remember what documentary I learned that from but yes had she hit head on she would have been fine
If it was a head on collision with a ship, she would've easily survived. These ships are built for ship-to-ship collisions. Icebergs impact is like a speeding car hitting a concrete wall.
The movie was done right. I’m sure most of us were not looking at the constellations. Also, too much violence would have left a different taste in our mouths.
I have to admit that some of the mispronunciations make this difficult to watch at times.
Aren't the stars arranged as the Heart of the Ocean in the original (incorrect) shot of the star-field? (19:10)
I knew #15 but that shit still blows my mind. All the timing stuff
8:41 There was no Jack and Rose romance but there was a Jack Thayer in 1st-class (not 3rd) and a Rhoda Mary “Rosa” Abbott (née Hunt) in 3rd class (not 1st). They both survived the sinking
Is this. Re upload? Cuz I swear I saw this a few days ago
"Jesus no ... that really sucks Lady!!!" Fucking hilarous!!!
beautiful video.
Number 18 of the countdown, that car in the bottom belongs to The Carters family from Pennsylvania.
The Titanic is a great movie!
No, they wouldn't have. Myth busters didn't prove it for me. Take a look at them, pause that moment, and see that they're both still in the water. Yes they are floating on that wall debris, not a door, and you can see the water still touching them. So they both would have died of hypothermia. Maybe taking turns might have helped but..actually no, that would have killed them too.
Wrong .
It’s “IDA” not “Eda”.
She also plays the foster mother to John Conner in Cameron's Terminator 2... 18:15.
Good Video. But just one thing it wasn’t a DOOR Rose was on 🤷♂️
Jim or Mij. Either way a master filmmaker. His record speaks for itself
There was actually a deleted scene of the "door" its not a door its actually a moulding. The delete scene shows jack trying to get onto it as well and it kept tipping over. So he decided to stay in water.
The story of little boy douglas is freaky poor kid made it outta that but got hit by a car so sad
Never forget a marvel of the titanic hundred plus years and the pools are still full
wow I didn't know about it before
Every time I see that movie, I am BAFFLED as to why he disnt get on that board.
Right? It's such a good movie, but then you get to that part and it's like "you can get on.... You can get on! ... You could probably get a third person on there! Go get the baby at least!"
@@Bgrosz1 That's exactly why he didn't want him to get on...To build tension, and a "damn you were smart until now"...
@@Bgrosz1 awww ß
It's actually due to weight it was proven they both couldn't get on earlier in the movie, mythbusters proved that they could only get on if Rose had tied her lifebelt to the door frame. But I very much doubt she would've thought to do that in that moment
If you look closely you can see that in the movie, Jack tried to get on the door to, but he ended up flipping it when he tried. So he ended up just staying in the water so Rose could live
Another fact is Fabrizio wasn’t supposed to die how he did originally Fabrizio was going to get on the same life boat as Caledon but then Caledon hits him with a oar and then he says you want to go to America and points to the horizon and Fabrizio dies from blood loss but they didn’t do that because they thought it was to graphic
The way Fabrizio died in the movie was the way John Jacob Astor died in real life. In the film he is last seen inside by the grand staircase when the water bursts through the skylight. The reality was he was crushed beyond recognition by the smokestack. His body was identified by his wallet
7:13 pcp laced soup, now that’s messed up lol!
What's the background music in this video? Thanks.
You forgot at the pool in titanic is still filled
I would love to have been flashed by Kate winslet
…
It bugged me that he said Ida’s name weird even though during the deleted scene they said it right.
Well done! Most interesting!🎖🎖🎖🛳️🛳️🛳️⚓️⚓️⚓️
The sub pilot was related to the Macy's couple.
We’re these facts all taken from Titanic’s IMDB trivia page? Or vice versa? Because these specific facts are literally written back to back on IMDB
4:51 is the saddest part of the movie due to them go to stay in the ship while it sinks rest in piece.
Why did I have to know he was hit by a car💔
Wuo?
I did not like the ending where Rose tossed the Heart of the Ocean into the ocean. Do you realize what that's worth? I wish the granddaughter saw it and then threw Rose into the ocean with a high pitched "ah".
It was thrown to protect it from money grabbers
@@potter286 Perhaps, but I’m pretty sure that she threw it so that it could be back with Jack
Yeah but she knew she was going to die soon and she the diamond is called heart of the ocean so she threw it down in memory
I would like to think that later, like he mentioned to his investors before, he would've searched through the debris field and other outside parts of the ship and recovered that jewel.😌
@@gokulgopan4397 I seriously doubt that happened. You're believing a lie.
I knew 1.5 of this
wow!!!!!!!
Background music?
Did Rose die at the end? I never understood that part.
Yes she died
The director showed us that her and Jack reunited on the boat again so probably yes she died and joined him.
There is no correct answer to that question. Some people think she died. Other people (like me) think she was just dreaming (🎵"Every night in my DREAMS"🎵). The script left her fate deliberately ambiguous (-Rose lays peacefully sleeping in her bed..or could it be something more?-) and when directly asked about it James Cameron just smiled and says "You decide"
Did you know that James Cameron would later marry the actress who played old Rose's caretaker?
It’s her granddaughter.
couldn’t it have easily been a combination of any of these 6 theories?
He copied A Night to Remember 1958 (which is better IMO) nearly verbatim. But added a fictional romance to it.
He didn't copy ANTR. Much of the dialogue in both films was taken directly from transcripts of testimony given during the White Star Line Congressional hearings following the disaster.
i saw another video saying that the water in the Titanic film was warm
Did you know that Jack would have never existed?Buthe stage was Jack in this Rugby. There was a Jack in real life. But he was a stoker not a third class passenger
For the door one they couldn't put both on because it kept sinking or they could make Jack put life jackets under the door but he would have died from being underwater for so long.
Ligh-oller😂
11:32 In that case she would have still been able to limp into New York Harbour
