I LOVED This character he was my favorite of the whole series but the way he died was soooooo stupid if you are a mage dont run up like a warrior
+Justinhulk ...not unless you have Greater Stoneskin and a few other protective spells (like Shield, Mage Armor and Ethereal Visage) running and some nasty touch-attack or counterattack spells like Vampiric Touch or Mestil's Acid Sheath, maybe.

Saw 3 in the theaters when it dropped with my college buddies. We all got stoned beforehand, so it was even better lol! I always liked how cool Freddy is in this scene; cool hand Luke like, hand up against the wall, deeper tonality and jawing Will to his end😂. 3 was one of the best of the franchise, no doubt.

Some people want to look the monster in the eye before slaying them. That being said while what he did was stupid, there wasn't really anything stopping Freddy from just disappearing and popping up behind him.
What I ever understood is why the fuck did they not make themselves immortal or invincible? you know your in a dream you know its your dream. but they don't use it to their advantage.

The Dream World works through emotional states and stable minds. In order for Freddy to have power over your dreams, you have to be afraid of him. And if Freddy cannot hurt or kill you, he'll do what it takes to scare the crap out of you so he can hurt and kill you if you take the bait. Case in point Taryn, she would have beat Freddy had he not exploit her fear of drug relapse. Rather than overcome it and get mad, which in turn would have made her more stronger, the fear was just too much for her and as a result he was able to destroy everything on her and take her soul to boot. You could be Iron Man, but if he has found a crippling fear inside that subconscious of yours, it would turn that tough armor into Jello.
Freddy simply just scared them enough times before he went in for the kill.

I always knew the Wizard Master survived! The way he willed his transformation as the spiked wheelchair was bearing down on him was so bad-ass. Aragorn must have spirited him off to another realm after beheading Kruger. The scene was probably deleted to avoid an X-rating due to the graphic nature of the beheading.

When a caster tries to melee...
First, make sure that your spell actually works from a safe distance. Then, cast a spell to send him somewhere else. Oh hell, it's Freddy's world, nothing will work.
He had a chance, Freddy's powers feed on your fear, if you can be brave you can fight him
But he was inexperienced, he never had the power of Magic NOR running before, so I guess he wanted to use both

I always have wandered, what would have happened if the Wizard Master didn't run up on Freddy? It seemed to be effective and having dream powers had a purpose. So, could the Dream Master actually have vanquished Freddy? It worked out as far as the movie goes but still, I wonder.
It would've kept him at bay as long as Will didn't fear him and found that one spell to keep Freddy occupied until he ran into the others, but rushing him was a desperation move out of fear
