My opinion in this that it generally depends on how you play the classes. Because for me Sal and Krieg have been my easiest to play around endgame. Some like Gaige and even Zero have been such a struggle to keep alive so it just gets boring have to respawn. Maya and Axton sit somewhere in the 3-4 range.

@@xdxdxfr since writing this I have seen some glitches/exploits that help Gaige as well as ones to help Zero do crazy damage. But just playing and using plain normal styles I still feel, Maya, Salvador, Axton, and Krieg feel easier. Gaige and Zero just feel too squishy.
Zero and Krieg were the only vault hunters I ever maxed out super fun I want to play the game again and try em all honestly

Gaige is my favorite although it's so hard fighting the urge to reload. Also got my favorite gun using her which was basically a pistol shotgun clearing an area just by shooting at random places and all my bullets ricocheting towards the enemy was so fun
Guess i got kinda lucky early game, i found a pistol with an infinite ammo gimmick (the magazine is 1 bullet, but it's never spent while firing). The only issue is i can't upgrade the Anarchy tree past the first tier without rendering it useless
True, if it's not fun, pick a new character.
My personal favorites were Maya and Sal. They're fast asf and do sick damage.

Gaige is my first character and i love and hate her. Not shooting enemies directly but hitting ricochets feels new and refreshing, but you need stack for everything or use a bee shield, also she is pretty gear dependant on fibber etc.
Agreed, she's my most play vault hunter I just wish she had something else going for her other than anarchy
Lover her deathtrap hybrid builds and DOT builds. Too bad those scale awfully into OP levels, even with community patch. Bossing is fun because of her unique choice of weapons and strats (norfleet or other rocket launchers, hail, fibber, grenade booster shield storm fronting, or even the standard discord beehawking), but stacking anarchy is so tedious. Wish it kept the stacks after savequitting or there was like a fully stack anarchy perk at teleport stations or smth.
For playthroughs and mobbing try the walmart build: Wield any moxi weapon (preferrably slag), 5p electrical burning, shock and augh, 5p wires don't talk, 5p blood soaked shields.
Then have any catalyst mod that increases electrical burn and/or wires don't talk.
Farm black hole shield and viola, you just succesfully beat any mobbing section on pre OP levels that doesn't have constructors or high tier loaders in it.
@@H0m0f1rST i only started using builds in uvhm, so i never really got to play DOT. I used a mod to get stacks, but there were still some annoying moments in the playthrough
For me Krieg was the most fun to play and he's pretty much almost impossible to take down if decked in mania and hellborn trees and using elemental guns. Least favorite for me personally was Maya because I just found her action skill to be kinda useless and would only really play as her for healing or support purposes, Axton is kinda generic but at least it's kinda fun to just throw down his turret when it sets off a nuke and it's really fun to do that in Pete's bar, I didn't mind Gaige as long as I avoided her entire right skill tree since guns are inaccurate and there's no point in making them over 600% less accurate with anarchy stacks in my opinion, Sal is just pretty much run and gun fun and for Zero I normally play more of a "hit and run" playstyle with him but it's still neat. It all just boils down to which character you can get through the game with and for me how much I connect to said character like with Krieg I love explosives, fire and melee and basically screw guns lol

Salvador, yes, but when you are like at least lvl 45 or above with good gear. Till then, you're gonna struggle hard and spend more time in Second Wind then any other character.
On the other hand, you can easily steamroll the entire game with Maya independent of gear because she has so many good skills and heals.
I love how this isn’t dragged out into a 10 minute video with a bunch of filler bs . Love how straight to the point you are .
I like Maya for elemental damage and coop support, and Krieg for solo rampages with explosions and getting to use a buzz axe is freaking awesome. The only two characters I've gotten to OP10.
There was glitch found on Gaige in Magnys Lighthouse accross the turrel before the elevator where she can become almost invicible and quick(very quick) in her movements.
In that way it's much more easier to survive with her; also one thing great with her is that you don't have to replace often your gear because anarchy higher their base damage, meaning that you don't need a bee shield to kill.
With Krieg you can easily kill some raid bosses (pyro with bloodplosion) with a hellborn build even if the dragons may be harder for him.
Maya is just better Axton tbh

I played krieg in op10 he seems fine though you need to fine tune his build. Also hes the better melee fighter that even amara. Meanwhile, Salvador is the most broken and less fun for others.

That number 6 spot should be Gaige.. One possible damage type (anarchy) and nothing else.. to make her work you either need to stack or use one of the glitches.. Fun stuff during NVHM, then quickly drops off to being the most useless and imho least fun character in the game
Honestly, I just play Krieg cause he looks cool, is fun to play, and has pretty funny dialogue. It's true, though, he is a pain in the crack to play (he's pretty hard to play).
Hey man just an idea I've had for a while but you should do some bl2 mod stuff seems to pretty well on CZcams. Like weapon spotlights or revamps on the game. Really enjoyed the video 🤘

For me there's no worst or bad vault Hunter in bl2 I played all and enjoy each in a different way. I must mention the Ai and the design of gaige suck but the concept is fun. The fun of bl2 is try everything possible. I played 1700h and I'm not done yet.

Its really easy especially when you’ve beat it a million times and know everything like every boss what they drop where every legendary for any boss is located. I love it. Really makes you feel like yourself when you’ve been playing it so long and always have the same joy you had before when getting those drops from bosses that you’ve always found essential for the game.
I remember being unstoppable with Krieg when his DLC dropped and after I got him to a high level with good gear. Complete chaos, as borderlands should be
It's interesting that something as simple as being able to hold a second gun can break something so hard
Salvador is usually #1 on lists. Basically for the same reasons; trivializing late game Raid Bosses. And then there’s the typical caveats; gear dependent, and he’s nothing special from early to mid level builds.
That #1 ranking, so often bestowed, doesn’t always sit well with me. In part, it’s that he’s boring because he’s so strong. His action skill is an “I Win!” button. It’s also that the farming it takes to get to that point is ridiculous. And until then, he’s kinda meh, because he’s so gear reliant.
I actually don’t enjoy farming. It’s tedious. I only need to beat the bosses once. Play the story through the difficulties. To me, Salvador would be last. In fact, I would put Krieg at #1, because he’s practically gear independent. You can play the game with almost any weapons you like, because his action skill is strong enough.
If you’re a Raid boss farmer, Salvador. If not, anyone else. Even Axton.

I respect your opinion. I'll share mine. The order doesn't matter.
Axton - He is not bad. His turrets can slag enemies, distract them and tank damage in Normal and TVHM. It's also fun to get up from FFYL with granade. He got nice buff skills and kill skills, making him probably the best character in a case of making guns more powerful. Sure, not the best choice for raid bosses, but raid bosses are small part of the game.
Krieg - Let's be honest, melee characters are fun and original, but not the best. For me, Krieg is really fun to play and has few funny skills. But I saw videos with people doing massacre with fire or bloodlust, so I figure that he is still good.
Gaige - A character of one build... mostly. Deathtrap is rather useless, so people mainly focus on ricochets and Anarchy. Great dps character, but boring in a case of gameplay and builds.
Maya - My favorite character. Her skill has short cooldown, is useful and can slag enemies. Cloud Kill is OP skill that melts enemies, especially different loaders. Main if not only support character in the game that can heal and pick up instantly.
Zer0 - I love using sniper rifles, so I like him. His skill allows to escape and have small fun as invisible assassin. Probably only melee character I enjoy from first two games. His Bore destroys some bosses, but it doesn't work on all of them, I think. For me, fun melee gameplay, fits my long distance playstyle and the best voice in the game.
Salvador: I don't play often as him since he is easy mode. The best dps character and boss killer in the game, no doubt. But in a case of fun... well, his gameplay is simple: Click F, destroy everything. Of course, it can be fun and cool for many people. But for me... such easy mode can be boring. Where is satifaction in holding two buttons and seeing the world burning?

Reaper krieg running peak opener/amigo sincero is pretty broken...
500% weapon damage kill skill swapping between peak opener to proc bloodbath and amigo sincero to 1 tap things.
Its like getting 100 Critical Acsension stacks right off the bat.
Funny, replaying BL 2 and I platinum the game on PS4 by farming as Salvador, Zero and Maya. Did it by accident too. They are so much fun to play

I personally rank Gaige lower then axton. Mainly because Axtons defensive skills and his slag on the turrets really help out.
But tbh there really isnt a "bad" vault hunter in bl2. They are all good in their own right. Which is what i love about gearbox.
But yeah salvador trivialises the game so no surprise hes number 1

BL2 vault hunters are either generic or straight up lame... except for Krieg. He's a genuinely unique and fun character and while he may contend for the second weakest spot in BL2 with Axton (Gaige is easily the worst) he's still very capable at OP levels and he's probably the best character to go slag less at said levels... considering how slag ended up completely destroying the game's gameplay at said levels, this is a truly amazing feat.
I actually dont mind slag since in UVHM ur weapon swap speed is increased

1. Salvador. Hes salvador. What did you expect. Him and krieg are borderlands. They encapsulate the chaotic energy and humor that this game has been building for the last 15 years. But powerwise Sal is the best

Salvador is broken as broken as Lilith was, but you can't base everything on bosses. Built and played right, Krieg is unkillable. Thats even without mtiplayer support. He's hands down the best, and funnest, BL2 character.
In my opinion, Zero and Krieg are kind of reversed in difficulty. Getting to level cap, I believe Zero struggles more than most characters, while for Krieg, I find he is one of the easiest (He could even do it with no gear). Yes, Zero is better for endgame as he is the best for the Peak and Raid bosses (not including Sal), but Krieg can still do the same things, granted slower. I would argue Krieg is better for general mobbing, as he is much tankier (especially if you don't use the broken grog nozzle). So to summarize, for Zero, you are struggling more early/mid game while excelling end game, while Krieg does the opposite.
As for Axton, I think he is actually designed great, yes he has no broken skills (I think it's actually a plus, there isn't much fun using Bore/Bloodsplosion against bosses), but he has great attributes. Axton has one of the best survivability skill trees in "Survival", and his turrets make UVHM much more bearable, as his turrets do a good job slagging enemies for you (which is one of the big complaints about the endgame). His turrets also do a good job keeping enemies distracted. You can also add a shield to your turret(s), which can protect you and your teammates. These turret benefits arguably make him the 2nd best support character. He is also very versatile, as most of his skills are general gun/grenade damage bonuses, so he can make use of whatever he finds. Because of the gun/grenade bonuses, he makes great use of early game legendaries (The Hornet, Kerblaster, Bonus Package, DPUH and fastball, which all are boosted by grenade damage), this is great for UVHM especially. Another great thing, because he has great survivability/shield skills, he can make use of the Bee shield without feeling squishy.
Maya has the best crowd control (just above Axton), and I believe has the most interesting skill trees and abilities. She also is easily the best support character, the only downside being she is generally the slowest at killing bosses.
As for Gaige, she is kind of a niche character, either loved or hated. Deathtrap is kind of wonky, but with certain shields he can be good (either high melee or survivability as a distraction), he can also recharge you or your teammates shield. She probably has the least interesting skills, but Anarchy is available early game, and can make her a high tier character off the bat with high stacks.
Sal similar to Zero, struggles early game, but with the right gear, becomes nearly invincible with high DPS. The most broken character with the right gear.

Personally, I prefer axton and gaige. I think the idea of having a turret/robot ally whose appearance changes as you upgrade skills and become stronger makes them all worth it.

I disagree with your rank of Kreig. I used kreig to kill many OP10 raid bosses on solo back in the day, wish I still had my old ps3 so I could tell u how I set up my skills as I can't remember the set up I had it was so long ago and my save files got corrupted for bl2 and i never played after that, but kreig by far put out more damage then any other vault hunter in bl2 besides Maya, I killed terramorphus on OP10 many many times solo for farms my best memory of bl2 is joining a party that couldn't be OP10 Terra I came in with kreig and slaughtered in it seconds infront of 3 other players. So id say you just don't like kreig personally which is fine your entitled to your opinion. But if built right he can destroy any raid boss on any difficulty no problem

idk why Axton cops hate, as a person playing it for its FPS elements obv i go with the all rounder good with weapons and the turret is a solid skill plus defesive skills like grit are super handy, to me his the def of avg, jack of all trades type but bottom of the list is a bit much imo

I think most opinions like this come from people heavily focusing on him being a melee class. But I feel if your more willing to be a explosive, bloodlust, bloodsplosion Krieg. You will be more powerful and stronger endgame. I for one only use buzzaxe for emergency and don’t focus into it like most do with silence the voices type of skills.

Have you tried a Swordexplosion Axton? A crit-Fibber with low anarchy Gaige? A melee Krieg in OP for mobbing? A melee-shotgun Zero? I think any of them it's more fun of a Grog-Harold Salvador, and, common, it's been more than 10 years, sure this've been asked to many ppl.
So, that's why i say that this could be a DPS list, even tho you deny it.
