Hopefully, if you're just starting your EPQ this will be useful to you and if you're trying to decide if an EPQ is worth it this should give you a more accurate idea of what is actually involved!!

ahh this video was very very useful :) we’re just about to start our dissertation and mine is: “To what extent does the representation of women in Disney films lead children under the age of 10 to accept the stereotypical conventions proposed in fairy tales” i then will go on in my sub questions to talk about where we learn about gender and love/relationships and whether or not we carry these perceptions through to adulthood!

Such great advice for any one completing an EPQ. I listened to Immy’s presentation on the Apartheid and it was so fascinating. - this is such a great strategy to approach the EPQ and come out with an amazing grade! x

This video is actually helpful. Straight to the point. I am going to sixth form soon, and I am planning to write an EPQ about "What makes us human?" I mostly got the idea from a book 'Do androids dream of electric sheep'. The book basically explores how robots develop human like empathy uncanny to different versions of the robots as if they were human. And that got me wondering, does empathy truly makes us human? (Like some people have mental disorders/illnesses where they lack the aspect of empathy but they are still considered human.

You know for an EPQ do you lose marks if your essay is less than 5000 words?

My EPQ doesn’t relate to the subjects I do (bio, chem and maths) it’s more psychology based since it’s about depression and it’s treatment (CBT and drug therapy)

This was really useful. I'm starting college in a couple of days and my school also does epq. I was wanting to do it on mental health since I want to become a mental health nurse. I like the idea of how you skyped people from South Africa to make your essay stand out; I'm thinking of actually calling childline for my epq and ask about what it's like to deal with children with mental health problems and how it's like not knowing if the advice given had worked or made things worse.

Thank you so much for creating this excellent video!! It does help me a lot as I was getting a little bit confused at the start of my EPQ. My title is “should museum return looted artifacts to their countries of origin?” And I hope that doing this project can prepare myself as an archaeology student.
