    got a 2016 a few days ago, the seating position mixed with the power surge gives the sensation of "Flying" or the Superman effect i like to call it. The bike is so smooth ,mixed with only a very small contact patch at the rear wheel under hard acceleration. Basically a huge driving power wheelie !! Respect the Beast!!

    Great wash never seen a bike in that condition ( dirty) i live in sunny south africa and bike stays clean for a year .my bike is identical to yours except I have the single seat ( can't imagine who would ever sit on the pillion seat anyway..owned bikes all my life and my beast makes me smile every time I ride .go well bud

      This is the first time mine got this dirty, I was driving in 8 to 9 hours in rain on dirty norwegian roads. The seat is actually not bad according to my girlfriend, compared to other bikes we have tested. The beast is a great bike :D

    Why do I get satisfaction from watching someone else clean their bike like it's my own. Is it a gene all us bikers have or is there something wrong with me?

    Agreed I would not use that high pressure washer near the instrument cluster. Also electrical connectors can get water in them and foul up your sensors readings.. But it's your bike do as you feel.
    A B2 Stealth bomber crashed because of water in a sensor.

    I like the angle of the camera you chose nowadays everyone is like a slave to "rule of thirds".
    I keep telling people it is ONE of the concepts of composition and not the ONLY concepts and rule. F**k the instagrams and snap"share dic pics" chat, now everyone taking pics using either the rule of thirds or showing cleavage or making a duck face.
    This is a beautiful angle and insanely good looking bike. I love naked bikes.

    hey man nothing against your cleaning you did a really good job but my dad owns a ducati and he never washes it with water. he uses these special wipes for the paint you should look into them just so you don't wear off your paint job.love th bike by the way very clean looking !!

    • @kaisgarage6318
      @kaisgarage6318  Před 8 lety

      Inbetween the washes when the bike isnt that dirty I use a detailer spray and a soft cloth, and the wipes you talk about would work like this, but when the bike gets really dirty I like to use water, the road conditions in Norway make the bike pretty dirty from a trip even when the roads are dry. Thanks for the coment! :)

    They all say never use a pressure washer on a road bike. Only on dirtbikes. Forces water into places it should not get to.

  • @SKBKER
    @SKBKER Před 8 lety

    Never use pressure washers on bikes . You can damage electrics and most importantly take the oil off the chain and cause premature wear to seals .

    • @SKBKER
      @SKBKER Před 8 lety

      ***** Not for high pressure water though . Unless you have the pressure low then it will be an issue .
      Don't forget the seals on the stanchions and other seals can get damaged on high pressure washers too .
      I personally would clean it manually . Takes longer but far better IMO .
      It's your bike anyway .

    • @Thedupernerd
      @Thedupernerd Před 8 lety

      +Seb K well heavy rain az 80kmh is like a pressure washer so jeah the electronic can deal with that and as long as you keep the wascher 1 meter away and dont stop mowing than everything is fine

    • @GTRwilson
      @GTRwilson Před 6 lety

      If you dont know what youre doing Seb K, then its good that you stay away from them. For most people though, its no problem. You should be cleaning and relubing the chain when cleaning the bike anyway.

  • @user2kffs
    @user2kffs Před 8 lety

    Holy, did you go offroad with it? :) I only ride mine on clean and dry tarmac lol. So the only cleaning is basically bugs in the front and minor dirt around the rear wheel. Still looks like new.

    • @kaisgarage6318
      @kaisgarage6318  Před 8 lety +1

      It looks like it, but it was on tarmac with heavy rain over some mountains :) we had a trip this week and did 1900 km with alot of rain and tunnels, you almost didnt see that the rims have been orange . You are lucky you have so clean roads, I envy you :)

      Thanks! :) Thats nice, how do you like it ? I found those stickers on ebay, I think both of thoose stickers came in the same package, the beast sticker isnt spelled downwards so I had to rearange the letters :)
      I found the link for the sticker set but its no longer available from the seller I bought it from.

    Two questions ?? 1 I thought using high pressure gurneys were bad of the electronics ? And was the wd 40 used for ?

    • @carlosl-f2433
      @carlosl-f2433 Před 8 lety

      Yeah Im with you. I would never use a pressure cleaner on my bike...removes the grease from places like bearings etc...and I plug the exhaust too :-)

    • @kaisgarage6318
      @kaisgarage6318  Před 8 lety

      I have allways used high pressure on my bikes and never had a problem, Im not holding it to close and keep the nozzle in movement all the time so the spray wont get so consentratet. But there will allways be differant meanings about this topic :) I use the wd40 for when its grease or simmular I cant get of with normal wash, it removes really easy when applying wd40 :)

    • @Yeahbuddylightweigh
      @Yeahbuddylightweigh Před 8 lety

    • @Yeahbuddylightweigh

      +Someday Soon (RoyalVlogger) I know the electronics are waterproof , was more concerned about the high pressure gun being used

    • @v1kku
      @v1kku Před 8 lety +1

      +Someday Soon (RoyalVlogger) You certainly can damage them. The waterproofing done is not enough to protect electrics from high pressure washers. And the chain and sprockets are not the only things that will lose lubrication.

    • @kaisgarage6318

    • @emmanuelmeris5841
      @emmanuelmeris5841 Před 8 lety +1

      It's OK, so long as it's kept well away from the chain, dashboard, axle hubs and any electrical connections. Even 'waterproof' electrical connections are no match for pressure cleaners.

    Worse thing you can do to a bike, wash it with a high pressure water jet. Your bike to do with how you wish of course !.

    • @doylee469
      @doylee469 Před 8 lety +1

      jeff cobb well too the grime collects at the wire connections making for corrosion. I will say its not the bad for the bike, i just think theres better methods such as spray detailer.

      oh for sure, i was being sarcastic. My StreetFighter NEVER sees water. If... and a big if... i ever got caught in rain, id hose down the big parts but manually clean out all the tight spots verses blasting water. But everyone has their thing.
