I liked the Audiencey Awards more when they were messing with the real audience and not doing sketches with actors.

Yea this was extremely stretching out the joke. There should be one of these fake ones at random per Audiency Awards to keep viewers at home on their toes. Hell a celebrity might show up. Not we expect a celebrity to be in the audience.
In some cases interns from the show have been "victims" of Conan's trolling. You can identify them because they aren't wearing a "bracelet". All the normal audience members wear one.

Everyone who has scripted lines are actors. I don't know how they write the jokes for the audience members, but I figure it must be kind of difficult to make quickly jokes about just the appearance and license the pictures for the real audience members. So that's why most of them are scripted.

Conan is a TV Legend. I miss all these stuff from his old shows. My favorite was the sketches where viewers caught mistakes, usually minor ones, and responds to them.
