Tip for anyone who builds this specifically for tridents: If you replace one glass block (on the layer directly above your trident killer) with a dropper and fill it with nautilus shells and put a button on it you can make the drowns with tridents drop the trident every time by pushing the button and having them pick up the shells. Make sure the dropper is facing inside of the kill chamber.
In my opinion, this is one of the most important farms in bedrock edition. Almost all farms on bedrock edition use trident killers and for that... you're gonna need a lot of tridents and this makes the job of getting tridents so much easier!

Built this in 1.20.81 with the full roof. Ran while I slept for 6 hours. I only set up 3 double chests and they were totally full. So, a lot of the loot probably de-spawned but here’s my results anyway: 94 levels 5056x Rotten Flesh 384x Shells 374x Copper 5x Fishing Rods 112x Trident!!! @@RockyVR6728 I just checked the spawning conditions in the wiki. In java they only spawn under Y58 unless you are over a river biome. So as long as you’re above a river this design should work. The rates probably won’t be as good though. In Java they only spawn individually. In bedrock they spawn in packs.
Works well. 1.19.51. Better to use dirt on that top layer of ice before the water as it breaks quickly with a shovel instead of risking the ice with a pick
I play on version 1.20.51 and I just finished this farm and it is working perfectly fine, the roof is essential, otherwise the farm does not work during the day, only at night and when it rains, just when I finished the roof, the farm started to show results very quick, thanks for the video man!
I use amethyst blocks for my trident killer floors. It turns them into a beautiful cacophony of windchimes. You also don't need the water bucket. The pistons will push the items into the hopper. 😊 Thanks for the build, Silent!
Just built this in most recent bedrock edition. Works very well so far, its nice to be able to turn the farm off and also farm them with your looting sword. Very quick and easy build the ice might have been hardest part...collecting it that is, thanks for the tutorial!
Yeah, I just spent a couple hours in a frozen ocean biome with a couple allays filling a few shulkers worth of ice blocks. Now I have extra for… something. Lol
I know I'm one year late but if you haven't made it yet becareful it's really hard and it doesn't always work sometimes the ghasts leave their place sometimes trident won't work on them
I love your tutorials Silent! Just finished building the mircro version of your guardian farm (works amazingly!) and before upgrading it realised I did not want to farm out all those tridents manually!
Thanks Silent, works absolutely flawlessly! I got 7 tridents in 5 minutes and it only took me 20 minutes to make the farm. That's 25 minutes for 7 tridents which is already better than manually killing them! Thank you :D
Hey Silent I have some suggestions for this farm: 1. Use gravel instead of ice, it works as good. 2. Use torches instead of slabs for spawn proofing (also use gravel instead of ice so it wont melt) 3. Use buttons instead of signs, its cheaper. So with these improvements you can maximize the efficiency of this farm, being cheaper(while still needing more blocks) and you don't need silk touch, thanks for reading! And thanks for the tutorial it really helps!
Still works great 1.21 !! As Silent mentioned, you can use regular blocks instead of ice. I used packed ice. Packed ice did not work for this pre-1.21. Thanks again Silent!
You can change the trident from drowned. I was messing around with drowned mobs and find out you can change the trident from them if you give the shell to pickup,they drop trident full,even if they attacked you many times. But, you them to take shell you need go away from them for them to not aim at you. Had allot of fun and got many many tridents with full durability.

Early game = you build your first SilentWisperer farm. Mid-game = you have at least 5 SilentWisperer farms. Late game = you have 10 or more SilentWisperer farms XD
Early game = not that much resources and building lots of cheap farms so you can make big farms so small malon and puncin farm chicken farm iron farm and this Mid game = gold farm, piglin bartering, slime farm and gast farm Late game = gint farms, sholker farm (if in bedrock as can’t remember as never got that far) besicly infant resources so it it cartive but you can die and can’t stand in mid air
we tried using some turtle eggs here and there on stream, they never seemed to pay much attention to them at all. not aware of what golden has done though:)
You don't need to pillar up 10 blocks for the lid. You can just make a lid of leaves. It does not effect the rates. Filling in your top corners of the water flowing level with leaves eliminates those 4 non-flowing water spots too. I've had this for almost a year and have built about 6 different ones in varying sizes, different biomes, etc.
@@seeit360 it looked a LOT brighter having the roof any lower. without a reliable way to see light levels i opted for the safer version and just put the roof where i knew it didn't block any spawns:) could fill in the corners if you want, but it doesn't have much affect on anything. all about slight improvements tho!
It's like the question of why most cars look alike. Aerodynamics. Physics. Things just work efficiently by being formed a certain way. Even if they're arrived at independently.
After 7 builds this has the best rates on bedrock survival. Filled a shulker box with tridents in an hour. Looting 3 on sword. Impaling 4. Props to Silent Whisperer for figuring it out!
Great farm, still works in Bedrock 1.20.15. Few things though, shouldn't hopper be on opposite corner of water logged block where the water flow goes? Also i moved the lever to AFK area for convinience, and made the bottom of killing chamber glass so i can see up, just for fun. 😊
I took like 4 hours to make it, but it worth it, 1.21.2 and it still works, did with ice cuz why not LOL, I’m sitting down for 10 minutes and I already got 6 tridents and 13 nautilus shells, big w video and channel congrats!! ❤ edit: I afked for few hours, result was like a full double chest of rotten flesh and like 70 tridents and 3 packs of nautilus shells or more lol
Excellent video and great research/testing silent! Your testing and solution will most likely solve the problems I had with my existing overworld farm! As the drowned did not spawn very well and often stayed standing in the flowing water only to go very slowly into the trident killer. Your 2-tall spanning technique and the shape of the funnel appear to be working well! This is important for efficiency, as only 5 spawn each time - planning on rebuilding my existing farm into your design - thanks again silent!

Great farm. You have make a Tutorial "Improved Hostile Mob Farm". It is possible to compine these two farms? On the one side the Mobfarm on the other side the Drowned farm.
I built the "Improved Hostile Mob Farm", but on the top layer where you get surface spawns I broke all of the scaffolding and it allowed the drowns to spawn. It won't be as fast for copper or tridents as this farm, but it was definitely fast enough for my needs, especially since I already built general mob farm and was AFKing there a lot.
I just built this farm in my survival world. God them pesky wandering traders with the bloomin camels kept spawning in my upside down funnel while trying to build it! Averted death a few times from them trying to push me over the edge! Great farm btw 👍
I built this farm today on my realm server, and I am now a believer. Dropped 10 tridents in the first 10 minutes. Will not hesitate to recommend your channel or build another farm....Guardian Farm is next.
Very surprised with the number of trident drowns I’ve killed, and I still have not gotten a single trident using a looting 3 sword. I am very unlucky. I will have to modify the kill chamber to initially kill them with my sword. Thanks for the tutorial Silent. 👍
Works great, first five minutes and already got five more tridents and that's with using a regular trident to begin with. Not kidding about the collection of experience, geez...
It also combines well with the guardian farm. Build the basic structure of the guardian farm, then this one on top to get the tridents required to expand the guardian farm below. You can combine the AFK spots to get both spawns at the same place, which I use by getting the XP from guardians to enchant the tridents from the drowned.

Works as of March 2024. Just built it in my survival world and got 3 tridents in under 5 minutes. Works brilliantly. Personally I don’t see any need for a farm much larger than this unless the goal is to automate lots of copper but it would probably be easier to just mine for a little while to get the same amount you’d get AFKing at the farm. If rotten flesh is the goal then probably go for a gold farm or zombie spawner. This farm has perfect rates for tridents and nautilus shells because you don’t need many of them anyway

Fun fact using a sharpness IV,looting III sword hit the drowned that has a trident one time then hit it with a fortune 3 picked your chance of getting a trident 90/100 I did 6 times and got 5 trident on MC bedrock tho the fortune act as an additional looting 3
I didn't watch the full video and got tons of packed ice before knowing I couldn't use it. I built the farm with it anyways, and it works. I don't know if I'm getting less drowned spawns, but I afked for a while and got about 15 tridents.

If your looking for the best over world spawns 25 tridents are needed because your able to have one for every spawning column, if you want to cut back on that I recommend just not building as many column kill chambers to however many you like, but if your looking for good rates and no trident killers try his nether portal design which still has incredible rates and doesn’t use any trident killers
idk if I am the only one who is having this problem but in my creeper farm i have a trident killer and i have had to replace the trident twice and i dont know where they are going
It's a Bug, the trident sinks into the ground at least 30 blocks. This happens when you move too far away or leave the game with it on. So always remember to turn off the killer if you are going to leave the simulation area, if you are going to enter portals or if you are going to leave the game.
@@November_Bravo12 Oh, that's a shame. It's a recent bug, we hope it will be fixed. In the next update. One tip, if the tridents are still disappearing, I recommend you pick them up so you can make sure they don't disappear on the floor.
Farm works well. Only changes I made were removing water from the trident killer and making trident killer like your creeper farm. The water made it take longer for them to die in my build. Also added 4 sticky pistons above the trident killer to be able to close the hole. This allows retrievable trident so multiple players can gain xp. Edit: this farm is a must for bases built in aquatic regions. Received enough nautilus shells to turn all 10 of my heart of the sea into conduits in less than 20m. Also decent passive xp and copper. It produces way more tridents that a full realm will ever need.
@@Infinite_Curiosity00 an impaling v trident should one hit them, but a regular trident only takes two or three hits and you can also throw in several of them. Shouldn’t have any shortage with this farm lol
@@n1ywb I might make an enchanted one once the bedrock bug of disappearing tridents is resolved. For now, I at least have an endless supply of them. Fortunately the trident does not lose durability. I would it to one shot them, but am settling for 2-3 hits for now.
Silent the baby drowneds will get stuck here on the west and north side and never pathfind as they are on ice , so they will hog up the mob cap until they despawn Thats why in golden helmets original drowned farm he used turtle eggs to lure the baby zombies
we tried turtle eggs on stream, it didn't seem to have much affect or get the attention of the ones pathfinding. maybe i didn't try the correct method tho. I've seen them walk around on ice too. they just fixed a bunch of pathfinding bugs in todays update (like, all of the major ones with blocks) so ice shouldn't be an issue, if it is then thats just another bug really:)
I just made this farm, and it works pretty well. The problem I'm having, though, is that squids keep spawning, which wouldn't be much of a problem since it just means I get some ink too except for that they get stuck in the funnel for a while and I think that's bringing down my rates. Does anyone know if there's a way I can fix this?
watches first few minutes of video, travels across 2000 blocks of land/ocean by horse, gets a bunch of packed ice, watches more of video, "it has to be ICE". PAIN
@@leadharsh0616 just giving props to the original designer. I've had this farm for over a year. Golden helmet has the nautilus Flux trident killer which guarantees every drowned with a trident drops it every time. Basically I'm burning tridents because it is so efficient.

Quick question: I'm considering placing a few of these around my ocean monument. Drowned and surface spawns; guardians are cave spawns. My question is that if I also include an overworld gold farm in the mix, would that interfere with spawn rates of drowned or guardians? The wiki says the drowned and guardians won't impede the zombiepigmen, but I'm not sure if the zombiepigmen will or won't impede the guardians or drowned
You are all good man, I've recently done a massive experiment on this, I made a creeper farm with an iron golem farm with 20 villagers, squid/fish farm and also gold farm all together and to my surprise none of them had their efficiency decreased! I've got to know that static spawns like golems and pigmen from portal don't interfere with mob cap as much if not at all.
As long as you put a block over the guardian spawns, they will for sure count as cave spawns, which would have no interference with drowned. Drowned can only spawn on surface.
Yea i didn't know that. We did all of our drown farm designing on sundays live stream. It was pretty easy to come up with this tbh. Id never seen a farm like this, but its cool that golden has one. kairyu showed my his nautilus flux trident killer last night, which is pretty neat. didn't have time to include that/mention golden in this tutorial though, since i was already done editing. Kairyu didn't mention that golden had a farm like this at the time either, so it just is what it is yknow
@@Johnathan-g9d I’m not sure I just followed along to play it safe. I just get shulker boxers and a lava farm and just build a furnace wall and I can get whole shulkers full of glass in no time. It’s not as bad as it seems to get it AT END GAME when you have the wings
Can confirm this farm works for bedrock 1.20 nicely got 4 tridents within 5 minutes which is insane haha will be using them for full automation of my skeleton and zombie farms and aswell as a creeper and ghast farm ill be working on soon haha.

Bro you need to make an item sorter to sort those! Use a non stackable item sorter for tridents, if you dont want those excess rotten flesh

The water makes a trident with the impailing enchantment do extra damage.

You can just hold your looting sword and leave the farm running. The Trident will receive the looting effect from the sword

DO NOT WAIT UNTIL THE END TO PUT THE TRIDENT IN THE KILLER. The farm works too well, you'll never make it to the chamber.

These farms are always a little tough for me to build this high up, but this one works great! Just like all the other farms of yours I follow!
Basically GoldenHelmets drowned farm for Bedrock….minus the turtle eggs to lure the drowneds down faster as they can fight against the water current.

It appears there is still light on the edges of the spawningplatform. I think the roof should be bigger.

Great farm, still works in Bedrock 1.20.15. Few things though, shouldn't hopper be on opposite corner of water logged block where the water flow goes? Also i moved the lever to AFK area for convinience, and made the bottom of killing chamber glass so i can see up, just for fun. 😊
I took like 4 hours to make it, but it worth it, 1.21.2 and it still works, did with ice cuz why not LOL, I’m sitting down for 10 minutes and I already got 6 tridents and 13 nautilus shells, big w video and channel congrats!! ❤
edit: I afked for few hours, result was like a full double chest of rotten flesh and like 70 tridents and 3 packs of nautilus shells or more lol

Your testing and solution will most likely solve the problems I had with my existing overworld farm! As the drowned did not spawn very well and often stayed standing in the flowing water only to go very slowly into the trident killer. Your 2-tall spanning technique and the shape of the funnel appear to be working well! This is important for efficiency, as only 5 spawn each time - planning on rebuilding my existing farm into your design - thanks again silent!

Great farm. You have make a Tutorial "Improved Hostile Mob Farm". It is possible to compine these two farms? On the one side the Mobfarm on the other side the Drowned farm.
I assume it would be but both farms would prolly be less efficient

I built the "Improved Hostile Mob Farm", but on the top layer where you get surface spawns I broke all of the scaffolding and it allowed the drowns to spawn. It won't be as fast for copper or tridents as this farm, but it was definitely fast enough for my needs, especially since I already built general mob farm and was AFKing there a lot.
I just built this farm in my survival world. God them pesky wandering traders with the bloomin camels kept spawning in my upside down funnel while trying to build it! Averted death a few times from them trying to push me over the edge! Great farm btw 👍
This works so well when i first turned it on there was a near constant flow of drowned

how does it work as a squid farm? mine was when i started building it but when i finished it stopped spawning them
@@iktrev they won’t spawn over ice, so it’s removing the solid blocks at the end that stops squid spawning.
I built this farm today on my realm server, and I am now a believer. Dropped 10 tridents in the first 10 minutes. Will not hesitate to recommend your channel or build another farm....Guardian Farm is next.

To find chunk borders- divide your x or y coordinates by 16. If its an even number youre on the corner of your chunk

Very surprised with the number of trident drowns I’ve killed, and I still have not gotten a single trident using a looting 3 sword. I am very unlucky. I will have to modify the kill chamber to initially kill them with my sword. Thanks for the tutorial Silent. 👍

It also combines well with the guardian farm. Build the basic structure of the guardian farm, then this one on top to get the tridents required to expand the guardian farm below.
You can combine the AFK spots to get both spawns at the same place, which I use by getting the XP from guardians to enchant the tridents from the drowned.

Works as of March 2024. Just built it in my survival world and got 3 tridents in under 5 minutes. Works brilliantly. Personally I don’t see any need for a farm much larger than this unless the goal is to automate lots of copper but it would probably be easier to just mine for a little while to get the same amount you’d get AFKing at the farm. If rotten flesh is the goal then probably go for a gold farm or zombie spawner. This farm has perfect rates for tridents and nautilus shells because you don’t need many of them anyway

Fun fact using a sharpness IV,looting III sword hit the drowned that has a trident one time then hit it with a fortune 3 picked your chance of getting a trident 90/100 I did 6 times and got 5 trident on MC bedrock tho the fortune act as an additional looting 3

I didn't watch the full video and got tons of packed ice before knowing I couldn't use it. I built the farm with it anyways, and it works.
I don't know if I'm getting less drowned spawns, but I afked for a while and got about 15 tridents.

If your looking for the best over world spawns 25 tridents are needed because your able to have one for every spawning column, if you want to cut back on that I recommend just not building as many column kill chambers to however many you like, but if your looking for good rates and no trident killers try his nether portal design which still has incredible rates and doesn’t use any trident killers
gruvaguy has one that moves them all to one chamber, its intensive to make but only uses one trident.

idk if I am the only one who is having this problem but in my creeper farm i have a trident killer and i have had to replace the trident twice and i dont know where they are going

It's a Bug, the trident sinks into the ground at least 30 blocks. This happens when you move too far away or leave the game with it on. So always remember to turn off the killer if you are going to leave the simulation area, if you are going to enter portals or if you are going to leave the game.

@@November_Bravo12 Oh, that's a shame. It's a recent bug, we hope it will be fixed. In the next update. One tip, if the tridents are still disappearing, I recommend you pick them up so you can make sure they don't disappear on the floor.

Farm works well. Only changes I made were removing water from the trident killer and making trident killer like your creeper farm. The water made it take longer for them to die in my build. Also added 4 sticky pistons above the trident killer to be able to close the hole. This allows retrievable trident so multiple players can gain xp.
Edit: this farm is a must for bases built in aquatic regions. Received enough nautilus shells to turn all 10 of my heart of the sea into conduits in less than 20m. Also decent passive xp and copper. It produces way more tridents that a full realm will ever need.
Are you using an impaling trident? If not then the water doesn’t matter. But impaling only works in water.

@@Infinite_Curiosity00 an impaling v trident should one hit them, but a regular trident only takes two or three hits and you can also throw in several of them. Shouldn’t have any shortage with this farm lol
@@n1ywb I might make an enchanted one once the bedrock bug of disappearing tridents is resolved. For now, I at least have an endless supply of them. Fortunately the trident does not lose durability.
I would it to one shot them, but am settling for 2-3 hits for now.

Silent the baby drowneds will get stuck here on the west and north side and never pathfind as they are on ice , so they will hog up the mob cap until they despawn
Thats why in golden helmets original drowned farm he used turtle eggs to lure the baby zombies

we tried turtle eggs on stream, it didn't seem to have much affect or get the attention of the ones pathfinding. maybe i didn't try the correct method tho. I've seen them walk around on ice too. they just fixed a bunch of pathfinding bugs in todays update (like, all of the major ones with blocks) so ice shouldn't be an issue, if it is then thats just another bug really:)

I just made this farm, and it works pretty well. The problem I'm having, though, is that squids keep spawning, which wouldn't be much of a problem since it just means I get some ink too except for that they get stuck in the funnel for a while and I think that's bringing down my rates. Does anyone know if there's a way I can fix this?

@@leadharsh0616 just giving props to the original designer. I've had this farm for over a year. Golden helmet has the nautilus Flux trident killer which guarantees every drowned with a trident drops it every time. Basically I'm burning tridents because it is so efficient.

Quick question: I'm considering placing a few of these around my ocean monument. Drowned and surface spawns; guardians are cave spawns. My question is that if I also include an overworld gold farm in the mix, would that interfere with spawn rates of drowned or guardians? The wiki says the drowned and guardians won't impede the zombiepigmen, but I'm not sure if the zombiepigmen will or won't impede the guardians or drowned
I'm not sure how that would all interact, just dont run the gold farm at the same time and you should get max rates from everything
You are all good man, I've recently done a massive experiment on this, I made a creeper farm with an iron golem farm with 20 villagers, squid/fish farm and also gold farm all together and to my surprise none of them had their efficiency decreased! I've got to know that static spawns like golems and pigmen from portal don't interfere with mob cap as much if not at all.
I know its a year on but how did you get on with the drowned and guardian farm together? were the rates still decent?
As long as you put a block over the guardian spawns, they will for sure count as cave spawns, which would have no interference with drowned. Drowned can only spawn on surface.

Yea i didn't know that. We did all of our drown farm designing on sundays live stream. It was pretty easy to come up with this tbh. Id never seen a farm like this, but its cool that golden has one. kairyu showed my his nautilus flux trident killer last night, which is pretty neat. didn't have time to include that/mention golden in this tutorial though, since i was already done editing. Kairyu didn't mention that golden had a farm like this at the time either, so it just is what it is yknow

Can confirm this farm works for bedrock 1.20 nicely got 4 tridents within 5 minutes which is insane haha will be using them for full automation of my skeleton and zombie farms and aswell as a creeper and ghast farm ill be working on soon haha.
Farm is great, but I had to lower the AFK spot by one block so I wasn't picking up the trident. Nice work
i accidentally made it with packed ice instead of regular ice and didn't realise until after it was done. Thankfully it still works with packed ice

Why can't the roof be leaves and a single-block outline? It was working just with that.
Also, why not make a room of it instead of extending the roof?
