in my experience, when using matte film the white ink opacity must be reduced otherwise the white inks starts to flow. We usually get better results for colors saturation as well when using matte films.
Wait! Is this what I’m looking for?!! When I put my ink at 70% it starts to flow! So you think it’s my matte film?
Thank you. The masking tape on the sensor always works for me (Epson L1800) with no issues and I always use a single sheet of film.
Where is the sensor located? Having issues using thinner dtf. No issues reading glitter or matte paper.
Where is the sensor on the ET-8550? I don't see a white sensor in the feed area.
Hi bro, kudos again, I love the way you engage your subscribers especially how you take out time to answer questions. Big ups man... I am having some issues with my DTF printer and thought it best to ask some questions. It is a converted ET-8550 and at 2:57 you talked about people with converted printers using the Matte double side pet films. Do you have them for sale ? I am having issues as my printer will print on paper but not on the PET films. The print head moves back and forth on the sheet like it does exactly when printing without bringing out ink. But when you try with paper, everything comes out correctly. On two occasions, it printed a part of my design vertically, not the complete design and I thought it was alignment issues but it wasn't. I have been using the same DTF sheet and this issue started recently.
I have read some people with same problem, to be honest I don't know because I have not use the ET8550. Could be that is not reading the film correctly or a software issue.
All our films are here kingdomdtf.com/collections/dtf-transfer-film
I have a converted ET -8550 and I find if I add a 1 inch strip of blue painters tape along the side you feed into the rear of the printer that the ET-8550 will have no issues printing on the film. I was using the Calca 13x19 film from Amazon, hope this helps out!
What are the settings you used for the print in the video? I have a similar file but it has a white block background when I print it.
You need to delete the background so the background be transparent and don't print that block.
color 40%, white 60% on acrorip
hi i have a stylus 1390 with a pritnter head l1800 converted to dtf. I have reset the ink waste tanks and everything is ok. the only thing is that it stops printing in the middle of the print and shows the ink clear button flashing. I have no idea what to do.
Download WIC software at wic.support and run a report to see of tell you any error. That way you know and fixed what’s wrong.
I’m having paper jam issues with my p600 are you familiar with this printer? I have both single and double sided film and it doesn’t print any of em just gets paper jam error.
Try to reset the printer and check the error is not coming from the chipless firmware.
Do you have a video on color calibration. My blue is coming out purple.
How is it after being washed ?
Does the premium matte film come in A3+ rolls?
I only see glossy premium rolls on your site.
Thank you.

No. You need to print only on the coated side. All the film have a coated front to be printed and a back without coating.
