Lyrics:
I miss the warm embrace I felt
First time you touched me
Secure and safe in open arms
I should have known you'd crush me
A snake you were when we met
I loved you anyway
Pulling out your poisoned fangs
The venom never goes away
Serpent swims free in my blood
Dragons sleeping in my veins
Jackyl speaking with tongue
Roach egg laying in my brain
Once stalked beneath your shadow
Sleepwalking to the gallows
I'm the sun that beats your brow in
'til I finally threw the towel in
Never knowing if I'd wake up in a
Whirlpool got redundant
My brain was just some driftwood
In a cesspool I became dead
From a rock star to a desk fool
Was my destiny someone said
Love's a tide pool
Taste the waters life's abundant
Taste me - Hudba
Mustaine guitar volume level = 10
Broderick guitar volume level = -2
Listen to holy wars live 1992 and now it Will apply
Ahahah 🤣🤣🤘
Exactly! no sound from broderick!
Had too it’s motha
Fucking mustang 🤣
If you can play fast solos, then maybe you'll get the verse riff. But try to sing as well, good luck.
Hey, I learned guitar from you! I remember I got my first guitar ( Ibanez ) and learned from you videos. The first songs I ever learned was My Darkest Hour & Am I Evil, and countless numbers of other songs. That was a few years ago and now I'm pretty decent, thanks for all your videos man.
Marty's parts are way harder than Dave's. Dave's parts follow a lot closer to the vocal lines.
Yea, it's not nearly as difficult as one thinks to play and sing Dave's part. I'll bet Les Claypool could wing playing Marty's part while singing the vocal part though.
lol did you see les claypool try to audition for metallica? let alone mega?
I know he auditioned for Metallica, as a bass player. Les just wasn't the kind of person to tone down his style. What I'm talking about here is raw skill, he has the ability but his heart isn't into metal. That would be like James Hetfield auditioning for Diana Ross.
daaamn mustaine's singing is actually good on this no mickey voice what a relief
dubbed
Aurelien Barriol sings thru his nose
Sadly he dubbed this whole concert for some reason.
Yeah, you can really tell it's dubbed here
This all concert is edited by Warner Bros
I wish there was an old version with Nick and Marty
there is probably just gotta look for it bud
Found nothing btw.. It'd be great if they reunite to play all rust in peace
id love to see em play killing in my business in its entirety
robcampbell67 Dave won't play Looking down the Cross and These Boots ;(
They wont play together again.. did you see what dave said about playing with menza and marty?
I can just imagine how much faster Dave would be playing this in his earlier years, holy shit it would amazing.
Man... i rarely have any problems with guitar playing when it comes to speed, but this song is just so damn fast...
Cheesy Cola Plus, you have to sing whilst playing it.
@@rhinehart_Not really, Dave doesn’t play the actual version live. He plays an easier version of it. I’m not even sure if it’s possible to sing and play this, but I’ve been surprised before
@@firemonkey1015I can but I’m not a good singer
For everyone that thinks theyre playing slow. go listen to the friggin album then, i'd like to see you play this song dead on point at 50 years old after having toured the world a hundred times.
Joe Kruger Well, its actually Shawn who makes it that slow. Just can't keep up with the record
Max Durk their new drummer is much better than drover
Furthermore, they don't play THAT much slower than on the album.
They are like 60
Not 50
Amazing how Ellefson and Drover were able to keep perfect rhythm when the audience was throwing them off
I think they barely hear the audience with the ear pieces. They hear each other's instruments and that's about it.
Also, I heard Drover is a human metronome. He might not be the fastest drummer around but he is damn tight on the tempo.
Damn, Chris totally nails this impossible solo. Some might say he's a bit dry, but i really like his style and tone
i think he is dust. dry dust and boring
Chris is a god so
Very tough solo so don't want to be overly critical, but he definitely didn't nail it. Flubbed some notes right out of the gate even.
@@INTJerkYeah I agree lol, nowhere close to nailing it. He played it his own way tho with the sweeps it looks like, not Marty’s way. Also it’s live and one shot while playing loads of other songs, I wouldn’t be anywhere even close to as good under those circumstances.
Only Mustaine can sing and play in the same time this song!
I really do enjoy Megadeth and Metallica. But all what you fans do is bring up is "Megadeth is better than Metallica" or "Mustaine is better then Hammet". All I can say is you can thank Metallica for kicking Mustaine out and creating greater talent on both sides.
Great point!!!!
Metallica and Megadeth are the best. No need to fight or compare them both.
Brownboi31 music is not sport... you can not compare.... both are great!!
(But megadeth is better.... hehehehe)
Abraço e feliz ano novo
MEGADETH is BEST from all point.
@@ansuna974 1st of all, it's Hammett, not Hammeth, 2nd of all, Mustaine only wrote 35% of kea, all the solos besides jump in the fire were re-written by Hammett, even the 2nd solo of Four Horsemen was re-written and only used 4 bars from the original, go listen to no life till leather or their live show in '82, solos are not even remotely close to the album ones, Hammett is a way better lead player, sorry loser, check my pfp and my name I ain't no Toxic Megadeth fan but these are just facts, objectively facts, lame
Dave plays such technical rhythm while singing, so awesome.
actually the riff he plays is the really simple one, the hard one chris is playing
@@HenriqueVergilistill fast
@@prometheustv6558brother Dave's part while singing is really easy on this song, it's like 4 power chords, holy wars is a lot harder...
@@santino6952 the tempo is much faster tho
Marty is genius in what is created note choice, melody, bends, never gets played like him!
Not the only metal band I like but Dave has the number 1 voice in metal. Love it.
Lol, Chris' riff part is unheard
Dave's guitar is too loud indeed
Chris' guitar is in the right ear, I can hear it fine.
MegaDAVE lol
chris' guitar playing in right side of the headphones

@@restojon1 putin and zelensky are in the same team.
amazing bass line intro, sounds like an 80's horror movie intro
rare footage of Dave actually looking between the ages of 40 and 50
wow...my favorite solo, i couldnt even play the main riff well in this song lol......great stuff.
Dave's voice sounds so good here. So gritty and raspy
Thats one of the best riffs ever created!

Their best fucking song. Lyrics and all
My favourite from the album...that solo is from a different galaxy....better than Tornado...
Imo the solo is more impressive than tornado of souls and criminally underrated but the tornado of souls solo is so much more melodic and musical
Amazing metal song composed lml
Love Megadeth
because the drummer plays so slow, please return nick menza
ROCKY R nick menza is dead R.I.P. Nick Menza T.T
yeah! i can imagine how cool if nick menza plays it live. just look how he play five magics and take no prisoners back in the 90s
slow or fast , i think every player in this videos has same tempo
Speed metal 🖤🤘
murdered it
"Megadeth performs the song "Dawn Patrol" off of their platinum album "Rust In Peace" live at the Hollywood Palladium"
Probably most underrated Megadeth song (watch me get called out in 46 seconds)
Adrenalina
...and that doesn't kill me only make me stronger
HELL YEAH JUMP
i wish they played this live in the 90s
Shawn what the fuck..
Better turn the speed to 1.25 on the video, to came closer to the original one in studio 😩
The problem with being as flawless as Chris Broderick is that if you do make a mistake it sticks out
Megadeth and nightwish are the best!
Mad respect for mustaine
i actually found this song played awesome
What the hell happened to Marty Friedman's lead part? You know, that hard one that strains the hell out of your fingers.
I always hate when people bash on drover but damn i have to join the bashing on this one
can i bash on chris for being so damn robotic in the solos like always. he needs feels
847, but I still agree with you.
Drover, what the flying fuck.
Oh jeez how did he do it
surprisingly this is easier than the intro of Lucretia
Cualquier cosa es más fácil que el intro de Lucretia.
Even Chris broderick couldn’t execute Marty’s solo properly
Not even Marty himself can in live shows.
@@iganpparamarta8813 Marty was flawless live....
because he wrote it...
Everyone will have trouble playing other people's stuff
@@akidk1499 I never meant to say he’s sloppy (leave that to Hammett and Page). As unique as he is with his exotic shred he can’t escape the touring fatigue and has to adapt/improvised. I used to think Petrucci was the most perfect live guitarist. He plays in a rigid posture not in a free spirited rocker ala Gilbert or Satriani and still he makes mistakes.
None of those diminishes the guitarists though.
The great Guthrie makes mistakes too.
came to see how dave plays that guitar part and sings
answer - he doesn't
I set the speed to 1.25 speed...same pace like on the record almost.
Listen to the beginning of the song I believe that Shawn drover missing fills again why did they let him in the band.
Even in slower song like Trust , he skipped the drum roll that comes after the acoustic part. He loves to simplified everything.
does the description say dawn patrol for anybody else?
Yes
Damn he almost did Marty's solo perfectly
Absolutely not. Not only did he start the solo noticeably late, he continued off tempo... He misses and adds unnecessary notes (sounds bad). I could add more but I'm not too salty by expecting more from Broderick. It's live, and I'm gonna assume that he's drunk or tired by then. And before you ask me to try to play it, I'm actually learning it and nearly close to playing it note for note (accurately) at studio speed. So I'm able to hear the huge differences between the studio version and Broderick's version.
Alkhzar wish I cared
Yeah he sounded good ! People always tryna be critics
Drover is leaving out the double stroke on the bass drum beat. I'm surprised Dave let him get away with that shit.
He is leaving out a lot. Dirk plays it so much better.
God, Mustaine voice's is fucking !!!!!
Les salio como el pico
My god that was the worst rendition of what Nick did on the opening snare part. Not to mention Drover is boring as hell.
Ha! I thought the exact same thing! It was the dumbed-down version....The new guitar player doesn't have the smoothness of Marty either but Dave's guitar was turned up so loud, nobody noticed!
Yea, not the best lineup.. I guess we're all just so used to being spoiled with Marty and Nick back in their "Hay Day" our expectations are high. Too bad we age!!
Brian Donahue Agreed. Menza is amazing, Drover is worse than Lars Ulrich. And Lars is absolute shit so Drover has to be some kind of megashit
Lol. Megashit is right! Can't wait to hear what Adler brings, gonna be amazing!
+Brian Donahue you guys have been great, we've been MegashiT
description says Megadeth perfoms Dawn Patrol lol
0:58 Soy yo o alguien dijo callense.
Parece jajaja
lol the description says this is Dawn Patrol.
it's scary how everything looks easy for Broderick.... really scary ....
it's honestly one of the biggest things people knock about his playing calling him a robot or emotionless.. when really he is just a super technical player that is really accurate. Compared to a lot of what he plays this is child's play.
@@shadowproductions969 yeah... sad.
True! Too bad his volume is low
@@metalpower18 use headphone. his guitar is on right side. You can even hear slight slip on the beginning of the solo 03:14
@@iganpparamarta8813 yep I heard that even without headphones. A couple of small mistakes in a long gig are no big deal

Thumbs up for drover's ONE TWO THREE FOUR, the only good thing he made in this vid.
WHERE THE FUCK IS THE FAST RIFF?!
Right channel bud.
What's wrong with that question mark? It's all upside down.
Turn up Broderick's guitar!
Dawn Patrol?
Are dave and Chris playing the same parts
Listen to the record. There are 2 different rythm riff. The diddly diddly and the simple part.
3:14 It’s HARD CRAP!
x1.25, you are welcome

it was awful!!! is it too hard for him?

must be only u I guess
It's just the vocals. The guitars/drums were live.
Yeah, thats what I thought... what a shame....:/
Derek Henriques Well now that they tune their guitars down a full step, Dave can simg normally again.
Mustaine and Broderick are playing the riff differently it sounds weird
That's how the song was recorded. Marty played the diddly diddly riff while Dave played the 'simpler' rythm part. On the record Marty's part is more audible and Dave's is far on the back. In this video the sound is mixed about the same that probably makes it sound weird.
I can play Marty’s solo but I can’t play the riffs
Nah
Play the slide natural minor arpeggio at the end..
It's hard for Kiko lourerio lol
megadeath and metalica still maintain until now..2 big band trash metal and havey metal band..music in this world..i hope 2 big name this band straight to the forward...great and nice music from megadeath and metalica..rock never dies....

Megadeth*
yeah!! we all like MEGADEATH and METALICA
All the intricacy of the record version is inaudible here...Mustaine is definitely not playing the riff like it is on the album. Chris seems to be but we can barely hear it.
+Chivas6 sure he is, there are two parts played at the same time. Chris is playing the busier part

That...was not a good rendition of the solo 😖
they wear embroidered Megadeth sweatbands!!! GTFO
GigglingDickhead I assume they do so because typically Dave throws his into the crowd, a sort of souvenir for the guests. A ]V[egadeat]-[ sweatband worn by Dave would be something cool to hold on to.
God the mixing in this is awful.
good god this was a shitty perfomance. i love megadeth but the only person who played well here was ellefson
