At our school, we cannot have coffee makers or microwaves, but we can have a mini fridge. We cannot have anything hanging from the ceiling due to fire code laws in our district. Love your books and stuffed animals :)
@@teachloveinspire561 that’s so nice!! Isn’t it crazy how fire marshals and districts vary from place to place? We can’t have fridges, microwaves, or coffee makers, but we can have things hanging from the ceiling as long as it is at least 18 inches from the ceiling 😅
After everyone decorated their classroom this year, the fire marshal came to talk to us...LOL. Down the decorations come!!
Hi! I am a kindergarten teacher in California and our class sizes are usually 24-27 students. If we only had 13 students, they would close the class or turn it into a combo class with either TK or 1st grade students as well. I am curious if they might do that with you, or if they will allow you to remain at 13. Also, how many K classrooms do you have in your school? I am so jealous of your class size! You will be able to give them so much one-on-attention and really be able to meet their individual needs! I hope you have a wonderful year and I look forward to more of your videos!
@@carolmoraga152 oh wow! That is so many Kindergarteners!! My cap is 22 and there are three kindergarten classes in my school. Since this video, I now have 15 students. Being in a private school we have more of a luxury with smaller class sizes. I’ve had the full 22 recently so 15 will be amazing!! So much one-on-one attention can be given! Why can’t you keep the mini fridge? I put mine in a closet

@@YvetteDelport-dq8tu I have a sister going off to college so it works out for her to take it 😁. I’ll miss having my fridge in my classroom though
