Impossible Tsuruha in this video. Mamesuzu is now a very experienced geiko but here she was just a junior maiko. When Tsuruha debuted Mamesuzu was already a geiko.

She was 100 years old? Absolutely amazing! So this docu is from about the early 2000's? Looks like the 80's for some reason.
She was 95 when this was made. Yachiyo IV died in 2004 aged 98.

京舞井上流井上八千代に成るには虫の音舞を踊れ無かったら家元に成れません。五世は孫に成るので、若くても教えな御身足が、藤生でも舞の時は杖も無く背筋を伸ばしておいどおとし舞う四世家元は虫の音を若い孫に早くから教えて舞え無かった家元井上八千代に成れませんが、覚えて現家元井上流井上八千代に成ってます。若くて人間国宝成り娘も師範に次の家元は決まっていますので、都をどりは永遠に成ると思います。
