We go on different mapping websites, then we trace the rivers and the coasts zoomed in on the particular region we are covering. We then texture it using a variety of techniques.

Even if we accept your version that the Rurikovichs were on the throne of Moscow, then with the advent of the Romanovs at the beginning of the 17th century, everything on the rights to the heritage of Ruten is nullified.
@@user-yq3gx1jy5lthats not the point of my comment, i was saying that if there was any country to truly be the direct successor or continuation of "kievan" Rus, it would be Russia, regardless if you want to argue that it no longer means anything anymore. If it means anything the Romanovs where somehow related to the rurikids, and catherine the great herself had rurikid blood.
Staraya Ladoga, Novgorod and Kiev had their time and are respected, but Muscovy brought Rus to new heights, after Vladimir Suzdal was under Mongol occupation, they rose like a phoenix and made Rus a world power under the banner of Muscovy later Russia.

It was recorded to be used since 1180s in chronicles, they couldve used it even more we just dont know cause someone (mongols, russians) destroyed a lot of them
