This movie is a masterpiece, I don't know what idiots said it wasn't, but it needs a sequel. NOW.
not so much that it was bad at all, it was simply underrated unfortunately. A few other movies with higher audiences were looking towards other movies.
It came out around the same time as Legend of the Guardians : a Gahoole movie. So the titling got confusing for who didn't know anything of either movie. I was fortunate to see it in theater and thought it amazing . I have watched again and again since buying it for myself :D....and shameless have done cosplay for it because of how interesting the story is. I watch it as much as I watch How to Train Your Dragon. :D >.< I'd love to see how second one would play out. There's a lot of lore thanks to the young kid's books and side note stuff....Like who jack frost was before he was jack frost. and How each of the Guardians came to be :D It's really interesting stuff....

How do these directors draw so damn fast and have their drawing turn out just fine? I can't even draw a stickman.
Years and years of drawing on napkins, my friend. Plus, more often than not these directors thought up and perfected these characters years before they start the project with a team.
Yes and it takes a long time actualy to make a movie with the kind of graphic like rise of guardians, tangled etc, and i was quite surprised myself when i found out that tangled took 6 years to made

Personally I think it's a testament to the voice acting when you can't recognise who it is in real life, I enjoy the film more when i don't know who it is, or otherwise forget.

I still think that the personality Chris put into his voice works sooooooo damn well with Jack. I would never change it, and heck.. he's my age and I have classmates with a deeper voice than his so.. it was never too dark for me.

I don't HATE it, but the reason I don't love it is because it sounds a little too weird sometimes. I'm not sure if it's the the pitch (lol get it) or the deepness about it, but the way Chris did Jack's laugh or when he's frustrated sounds weird to me. Idk, just what I think.

I've watched SO much animation movies in the past five years(since my nephew was born) and this is hands down one of the best! The animation is absolutely stunning and the voices are perfect. Definitely needs a sequel!

Great movie with good voice cast too. This film was Chris Pine’s first animated voice-over family friendly movie debut as well. Pine recorded his lines as Jack Frost, while Star Trek Into Darkness was in production, one year later. These cast came from different countries. Isla Fisher and Hugh Jackman were both Australian, while North was played by the American Alec Baldwin. Jude Law is fantastic for Pitch too.

All of these actors are amazing at voice acting! :D I couldn't really see any other actors playing their characters. :D I mean Chris Pine is Jack Frost and his voice suits the character so well! Alec Baldwin is North his voice definitely suits the character, Jude Law is Pitch I couldn't really see any other actor play the character as brilliantly as he does. Isla Fisher is a wonderful Tooth Fairy :D

It's fascinating seeing some of the actors read through their dialogue, honestly, especially after having watched it being animated first. Jude Law is especially expressive with the different variations of each line. I love Chris Pine's delivery too. There's something really warm and calming about his voice that I don't think other actors would have nailed the same way.

gotta love seeing people invested in something so cool. theyve reinvented the mythos of these characters, given them a spectacular design and a wonderful twist of grace. i think i love this film so much because its story thrives on the characters-- it thrives on their motive and wellbeing. something so integral to a persons character as their own beliefs-- a middle ground between commonplace trust and complex ideology-- is important to me. it is not an amazing masterpiece of a film (far from it!), but i appreciate the effort put into it (even in the soundtrack). the director himself is interactive, he cares about this piece just as much as he wants the audience to. i love this film, and i love what it stands for-- godspeed, dreamworks!!

He basically is the narrator of the film and the way he portrays Lemony Snicket is really cool. He's always in the shadows writing the baudelaire "documentary" and he looks very mysterious, just like the real author of the books (he never shows his face 'cause he likes to remain anonymous). and also similar to Pitch.
