Nehru did some mistakes but our country was kept united and progressed very much after independence. We have achieved a lot in science and technology , like Pakistan we didn't became pet of any superpower. We remain secular unlike Pakistan.

Very balanced and informative. Nehruji does not need glorification or vilification. He deserves recognition for what he achieved and fair criticism for where he erred.
One point that stuck out that I consider didn't deserve mention was the affair with Edwina Mountbatten. It was only rumours and surmises, and even the source referred wasn't certain if there existed such an affair. Having platonic appreciation should not be treated as a sin. Public figures should not be coerced into isolation.
Govt decision to omit Nehru ji photo from freedom fighters poster released for Azadi ki Amrit Mahostav is shocking. Nehru contribution to freedom moment as well as building modern India is immense. Don't divide people contributed for Indian freedom on the party lines. They deserve due respect from every Indian.

Read the article "Naye Naye netaon ke alag alag vichaar" by Bhagat Singh. It was published in 1928 in Kirti Magazine. The original article is in Punjab Digital Repository and is in gurmukhi.
He shows why Nehru was way different than Subash Chandra Bose and other reactionary leaders.
He considers Nehru as utilitarian and someone who wants a cultural as well as political change which he supported more than Bose's stance of just getting freedom.
Infact Indians are largely unaware that when Bose and Japanese had occupied Andamans. There were atrocities on the Andamenese citizens by the Japanese. Bose was largely unaware of it. The consequence of Bose's way of getting freedom would have left us with just the ruler being replaced from British to Japanese.
