86 Toyota Pickup temp gauge fix PART 2

Changed my mind, I disassemble the gauges again, give you a close-up view of the fuel gauge, which supplies power to the temperature gauge.

I'll give this a shot, my guages only go up 1/4 the way. Also, none of the lights turn on.

Will the resistances spec in the service manual show bad prior to cleaning the contact areas as described?

When this corrosion happens will both the temp and fuel gauges not read?

My son's 87 does that. i replaced the sending unit when i put in new hoses, and thermostat. everything reads correct on the sending unit. i figured it has to be a bad ground somewhere. The both quit working at same time. I wonder if the fault is on the back of the instrument cluster.
