However, the plaintiff alleges the defendant kicked her out and didn’t let her retrieve her belongings, so the plaintiff is suing. The defendant argues she tried to arrange for her daughter to get her things.

The Judge was extremely rude and biased for some reason 😢. Understand the law requires facts and not based on emotions. The emotional part goes both ways.

It’s clear the plaintiff had a rough childhood! She doesn’t have a good relationship with the plaintiff! Which is so sad! Hopefully they saw this and repaired their relationship.
I'm glad juvenile helped Judge Mathis, it doesn't work for most children. It just makes things worse. Putting her on probation for text messages is ridiculous. "You don't argue with a person who puts a roof over your head," is such bullshit. It's just a way to keep someone from speaking out about abuse. That woman is over there shaking and fighting back tears and he's calling her a liar because the mom put a 15 year old with no ability to fight back on probation. The coldness at the end in which she addresses her daughter says it all. "The paperwork proves I'm not a liar," and a lot of people got away with crimes on paper.

The Judge didn't believe the plaintiff because she lied about not doing anything wrong as a teen. The courts had a whole hearing & the mom proved she was out of control. Plus she lied about the mom withholding property. Her credibility was ruined. Also if mom was so horrible, why move back in with her a short time later? Y'all see a few tears and forget about the facts.

@ULTRXBLXCK The courts put her on probation because she wasn't coming home at night, and she violated the probation because she ran away again to be with a boy. Incorrigible child cases go through several layers before it gets to probation (prosecutor, child services investigation). The mother literally said she had no issues with her until she was 16. The daughter says her mother didn't like her but mom let her AND her husband live with her. Mom may not have been perfect but the daughter needs to take accountability for her actions as an adult.

I don't get why people are angry about this. The mom's not perfect, but in this particular instance, she's not in the wrong. The plaintiffs had chances to get their property, its not on the mom to hold onto it forever. The plaintiff clearly lied about never being given an opportunity. That ruined her credibility.

Both sides lied. Judge was done with the plaintiff's before they started. The guy should've kept quiet because judge has poor understanding and will flip something to match it. People use cans boxes etc for target practice all the time. But he wouldn't get that he has a one track mind. If it don't make sense to him then it's not true.
I love JM. But he was 100% wrong here. This woman was in foster care? Her mother allegedly asked her to have their baby, why is JM being so dismissive? Is it bc of the color of her skin? I felt he was very judgmental and definitely tried to invalidate her feelings
