The Yoko Ono Trope, Explained: Why She's Hated | From Yoko to The Idea of You & More

- The myth of Yoko Ono destroying The Beatles has persisted for decades. Anytime something goes wrong with a group of male musicians, there always seems to be a woman that catches the blame. In the years since Yoko was accused of ruining the biggest band of all time, many other women - in real life and on screen - have gotten caught up in the same trope of the evil woman who slides in and breaks up the otherwise happy group. But, of course, there’s always more to the story. So let’s take a deeper look at the true story of Yoko and The Beatles, why the trope has continued to be so pervasive, and how we’re finally starting to leave it in the past.

I think anybody who really believes Yoko broke The Beatles up has never actually been in a band before and therefore doesn’t understand how heated inter-member politics can get. Whether you think she’s a good person or not (see her not giving Julian Lennon some letters between him and John and instead auctioning them off forcing him to bid for them) she didn’t break up The Beatles, they’ll be the first to admit they did that all by themselves without her help or input.
I mean...John didn't leave Julian in his will...Sean Ono Lennon was.
John didn't put his carrer on hold when Julian was born...he did when Sean was.
Maybe John didn't like Julian 🤔
I mean Hey Jude is about Julian...not by his dad tho...
@@Chelaxim true, John was admittedly a horrible father to Julian and I think (at least I hope) he recognized that when he became a father to Sean. And he may have wanted to do right by Julian after the fact but Julian or Cynthia might’ve turned him down and said they didn’t want him in their lives again, we’ll never know. But back to what I brought up before, given the circumstances if I were in Yoko’s position I would just give the letters back because it’s the right thing to do.
I agreed, even if John never met Yoko or exist. The group would have break up, anyway sooner or later as band.
As don’t intend to last forever, even if with or without Yoko in it.
Most people haven’t been in a band.
Sounds like ur not about the music ur about drama
If an outside force is able to come in a break a group apart, it probably means that the foundation of said group wasn't very strong anyway.
Also let's say hypothetically she is to blame...why couldn't they go on as a three piece.
But of course you can't blame Yoko for the other 3 not getting along.
Dayum
@@ChelaximCan tell how young you are jumping in with that theory. The other three got on just fine, Ringo was the glue of the group, but they would have struggled to continue without their main frontman as they wouldn’t even be the Beatles anymore.
As popular as sell out McCartney is these days, John was the front of that band, it would be like the Rolling Stones going on as there Rolling Stones without Mick Jagger, even when Keith’s there it’s not the same. Or like how Queen are still a band with a new weirdo front man. You’ve got legends in that band, and I like them more than Freddy, but Queens not Queen without Freddy.
They were asked years later [the beatles] if they’d ever get back together, they said not whilst John was still “unalive”. They wouldn’t do it without him. Before he passed he had already separated for good from Yoko, and there was talk of the Beatles getting back together but obviously it wasn’t to be
Women are always blamed. Nowadays when it's a case of domestic violence or adultery by the male... they'll still blame the woman saying "she should've chosen better."
It started when Adam blamed Eve.
Our societies refuse to hold men accountable for their own actions.
Can you imagine a woman abusing her children and people blaming the father gor chosing the wrong mother? I cannot.
@@lovelyandsmartcommentator5130 lol
@@lovelyandsmartcommentator5130 Wasn't it "almighty God" which did that? The "unforgivable sin" was also eating from the Tree of Knowledge or something. So the "moral" of the story is that seeking knowledge is a sin and one should never question anything. Isn't religion great? Pardon my sarcasm.
The hate towards Yoko ono all this years is just so lazy and predictable, it's misogyny mixed with some level of racism. And I'm pretty sure it won't be this bad if she was conventionally very attractive looking woman. Yes sounds bizzare but if you actually read what Beatles fans say about her it's a lot to do with how they perceive her with negative bias.
People know it in their hearts it's stupid to blame it all on her but they just want a scapegoat that's easy to blame. So they think those four men were forced to disband by a woman single handedly and John was a baby being bullied by Yoko ..
I feel like people who think Yoko Ono broke up the Beatles have never like.... done a group project before.
I’m shocked that the patriarchal society back then would think that a woman would have the power to influence a man’s decision. It couldn’t be the grown ass men who made up the band’s decision?
I think it’s very telling that Paul McCartney and Yoko Ohno don’t like each other but he’ll still stand up for her and clarify to the press that she didn’t break them up
I think that's why the partiarchal societeis are so misogynistic: They think women are the source of evil and should be kept small.
That's how misogyny works. Blame it all on a woman for ruining men. Like podcast bros blaming women for bad relationships and career struggles
@@cutekitten12 But that makes no sense. If men are so great and strong and deserve to rule the world, how can they be so weak as to be influenced by women?
@@cutekitten12 Misogyny will continue in one way or another as long as most people are *chimps* at core. Men AND women. A chimp-y lady will still unashamedly (or obliviously) proclaim that she needs a "big, bad boi" to protect her "scared and insecure" little a*s because both her mentality and outlook of the world is that it's a *jungle* .
Last week I heard a radio host claim she'd "love to live during the Stone Age" because "A big, strong man would PROTECT her from everybody." Her wet dream no doubt. Not to be a wholly independent, self-reliant woman of the civilized modern age but to be *protected* by a big, bad *brute* . Does she even listen to herself or is remotely aware of how self-oppressing she comes across? If she desires such a time she can go live in places where women still are relegated to "traditional roles".
My point is there will never be a shortage of chimpy men, brutes and jerks as long as there are PLENTY of chimpy women desiring nothing else than to be "saved and protected" by their likes. For people who mentally and psychologically still are on the CHIMP level and perceive the entire world as a dangerous JUNGLE expect no significant progress.
You can't have equality with a large percentage still living on the "chimp-in-the-jungle" level. If the world is indeed a jungle we can maintain and re-introduce the ideas of social darwinism. Heck, we can embrace it at all levels. The nazis did claiming it was "the natural order". Sure, if you believe that humans are no more than chimps in a jungle.
Why is there misogyny? Stupid women desiring stupid men. That problem would be solved within a generation of people lived up to the name of our species "thinking human". But what "thinking" is needed for a chimp in a jungle?
" Like podcast bros blaming women for bad relationships and career struggles" And WHO listens to them? Chimps.
And that's the fundamental error of feminism. The bizarre notion that only men are chimps but women can't possibly be.
As long as hordes of people unashamedly stuff themselves with unhealthy fast-food there will be tons of fast-food restaurants. Don't give me that cr*p there isn't healthier and cheaper alternatives. The fast food industry just exploits a market more than willing to eat their bad food.
See my point?
Where there is a huge market of buyers there will be a huge market of sellers. You're solely blaming the seller in a *free market* with better alternatives.
You can't have the cake and eat it too. You can't have all the freedom without the responsibilities and obligations. And freedom without reason is no kind of freedom at all. It's called a... JUNGLE. Free to a blind fool or those who have seen too many animated Disney feature films.
Seriously, you're shocked? Have you ever read the bible and noticed who gets blamed for Adam's fall? Women were regarded as manipulators and seductresses all the way back.
I think they did this in Powerpuff Girls, but it was kind of subversion because the monkey dating Mojo JoJo was helping the girls break the supervillain team up.
Whatttt, my whole childhood I thought it was just a pretty monkey😭
I didn't know who Yoko was until that episode.
I love that episode because it’s got great comedic timing and yeah the Beatles references are fun to notice when you’re older and know their songs. I like the twist at the end where “Moko Jono”/Michelle tricked Mojo in the long run to be caught by the Powerpuff Girls and isn’t a punchline since that Mojo’s job 😂
There's a line in a _Buffy the Vampire Slayer_ episode (part of it is in the video [the episode itself is even called _The Yoko Factor_ because the whole episode is based off the concept]), where a character says, "It's not a stretch to say [The Beatles] ruled the world. And when they broke up, everyone blamed Yoko, but the fact is, the group split itself apart. She just happened to be there."
In reference to the fact (as this video states) that Spike doesn't believe this fact, he still uses the concept of being the group's outsider to come in and split the group up, playing off of issues The Scoobies (the main group) have been having (and ignoring) for nineteen episodes.
I think it's more interesting that lots of society agrees she didn't break them up, but society is still aware what the trope is to a point where she gets blamed through said trope. It's sad on that level.
Perfectly said. And so correct
Yoko can be a gifted artist and a terrible person. John certainly was.
She was not gifted nor artist
@@TheLowDee she is a good artist
Awful musician. And yes she did have an affair with John Lennon. But John was also an abusive husband in his first marriage
People are nicer if you are like Didy, Drake or Micheal.
Were you friends with him? That would be the only way to back up your claim with facts.
@@lucienramirezTerrible Musician and Terrible Artist
She was shit to Julian Lennon after John’s death… unforgivable
So was John before his death.
Yeah, she sucks, but people don't hate her because of that.
yeah he basically chose Sean as his favorite. I think even Julian confirmed that at some point, but I think he and Yoko made amends some time ago and he’s been helping Sean with caring for her
@@PersonalJesus-ot7vz I do. I also despise John for this.
To me, the whole "Yoko broke up the Beatles" never made sense to me because if there was really no bad blood between the members and Yoko was trully the only problem, then i'd imagine John could've just left the band to be with Yoko, and the Beatles could've continue as a trio, (i mean it's not like Paul, George and Ringo couldn't compose amazing music just the three of them), but they didn't, they simply broke up, and you don't break up the biggest band in music just because of a single woman. You don't make a decision like that out of the blue. Also, it's not like replacing or losing a member of a band is new, a lot of bands throughout history have done that. Paul himself admitted that the four of them didn't get along anymore and grew apart. Yoko was just an easy target for the media to blame.
The Beatles are not the Beatles without Lennon. All four were essential. They’re not like The Rolling Stones and other bands who just keep going after some members leave or die.
But once a band looses an important member the band is not the same anymore.
Telling this as a Bon Jovi fan after richie left the band doesnt feel like Bon Jovi anymore.
Harrison in particular wanted out from under the shadow of Lennon/McCartney. Harrison released 'all things must pass' and more than a few of those songs were tracks that got vetoed by Lennon/McCartney. FYI most critics and fans call that triple album the best post beatles output.
Harrison even approached Art Garfunkle after Simon and Garfunkle broke up and said 'I know what it's like to be in the shadow of a guy named Paul'.
If they wanted to pick things up again they could have at anytime. I'm not sure it was ever necessary. Creatively the beatles had run it's course, Lennon hated playing live, freeing McCartney to tour to his heart's content with setlist replete with Beatles tunes.
Yeah you do because that’s exactly what happened, you’re not the Beatles without John, as legendary as all the other members are, it was time to call it quits, although when he left her they were gonna get back together but well that never happened in the end. They always said they would never do it without John, I don’t think people who say this know how tight band members can be and the respect they have for each other through all their drama. John wanted to be with Yoko, he was in an abusive and manipulative relationship, she wanted control and to isolate him it’s clear to see when you have experienced it, im surprised the feminists don’t see that, they’re just mad someone thinks bad of a woman. John used to hit her too in anger he was open about that. But Yoko was awful to him, threatening divorce and things and trying desperately to get back to him when he agreed because she didn’t think he would agree
@@2727.L There's so many interviews showing how unhappy harrison was with both mccartney and lennon. There's a story of Dylan asking Harrison why he was so happy while they were recording the wilburys albums. He said he was just having fun recording with collaborators. Dylan confused, asked him was it not fun recording with the Beatles and without hesitation he said 'no'.
Even if Ono is who you say she is, the beatles would have broken up soon because of harrison.
John was constantly looking for something to fill the void he felt in his life from losing his mother as a teenager. Being a Beatle satisfied that longing for several years and then the use of marijuana and LSD was his coping mechanism. He only married Cynthia because that is what a "man" did when he got a woman pregnant in that era. He never had a close relationship/partnership with Cynthia. He even followed George to seek enlightenment from the Marahishi in India but was left disillusioned. Yoko came along at the right time for John who was looking for an intellectual equal as well as a mother figure to fill that void in his life. Like the obsessive personality type he was, John put every bit of his energy and time into the relationship to the detriment of his relationships with his fellow Beatles. Yoko was also dysfunctional with issues from her childhood, a failed marriage with a child, and as a struggling artist. You had two intelligent, talented artists battling their demons looking for salvation in each other.
Nah, she is not talented, her singing voice is awful
After watching this I realized that I may have gained a reputation of being the "yoko" for a sibling group. My fiance has repeatedly told me that choosing us *IS* his priority, and that he was seeking a reason to "leave the band"-since they were never there for him, the way they required him to be for them. I really appreciate the ability to discuss how changes *are* needed and that blaming the catalyst isn't always the best way to grow from them. Thank you for your Take on this!
You......broke up the Jonas Brothers??
As a Beatles fan, Yoko obviously wasn’t the sole reason the band broke up. All four members have even admitted it wasn’t ENTIRELY her fault. However, she still played a major role in dividing the Beatles, especially with her unwanted presence in the studio and constant need to be with John 24/7. Although, most of this is John’s fault, who kept pushing her on the rest of the band, and insisting that her opinions on their music mattered. At the end of the day, she’s not a member of the band, and John was a huge asshole for forcing the other Beatles to accept her input.
It’s also worth noting that while both have admitted that Yoko wasn’t the main reason they broke up, both Paul McCartney and George Harrison have expressed their dislike for Yoko as a person multiple times.
so you completely disregarded the entire video and proved the point. well done dumbass.
Anthony Fantano said it best. Anyone who blames Yoko for the breakup of The Beatles are the kind of people who would blame women on everything.

Courtney Love also suffered from this trope. The "Courtney killed Kurt" thing is still pervasive. Because it wasn't that he wasn't a heroin addict with depression, it must have been her fault.
Why did Paul McCartney take so long to clarify that Yoko Ono didn’t break up the Beetles??? By the way I had no idea she had a career before him 🤦🏾♀️
They mentioned by they broke up but never cleared up the drama specifically about yoko
As a recommendation, I couldn't help but notice the channel's dissection of TV shows - and I think a really underrated sitcom has to be Everybody Loves Raymond. Whilst the behind the scenes background has caught the attention of some fans, I think what makes the show special is how it designs each character around family relationships and how they're still navigating these types of challenges. Marie and Frank particularly have a complex marriage based on open communication - with its ups and downs at times. Love how the channel makes viewers much more active in their watching experience, thanks.
I think its a very relatable phenomenon. Everyone has seen the Yoko effect even if people should know what is laid out in the video. That friend group that already was on shakey grounds and someone that shows up and whispers the "you know you don't need them right?"
The Yoko jokes will never end because as long as that joke is relatable it will have an impact. And the phenomenon is not going to stop happening.
And today it is Jada Pinket being blamed for Will Smith slapping Chris Rock.
😮😮 true
It is Jada fault. She also put her dirty out for the world to see. Let’s not victimize Jada. Both of her children are reflections of her and Will.
LMAO, No, that is another situation. That is an abusive and controling woman.
@@malek015Ai yeah, except you guys have no proof that she is controlling.
@@malek015Ai This absolutely proves my point. It does not matter what kind of woman she is (and Yoko was also called controlling), it was Will who slapped Chris Rock. Hr is responsible for it, not her. This is so misogynistic to make the woman responsible for something stupid a man does.
My issue is that she tried to ruin Chuck Berry's song on their show until that utter hero cut her mic.
I stand with you. That incessant yelling was awful.
She didn't try to ruin the song. She was high.
@@canesugar911 You're still responsible for what you do/n't do when high. Regardless of what substance/medication she took, her actions/decisions led to her interrupting and ruining part of the song.
Drugs are not evil, what you do when on them can be.
This connects to a major point the video misses- a large reason people hate Ono is they feel her art is terrible. A lot of her "music" is literally just her screaming into a microphone. Some peoople might enjoy that, but it's extremely niche. The Plastic Ono Band created nothing that lasted.
So there's a perception of a mediocre artist piggy backing off the Beatles' fame to get a level of status she never would have got near otherwise.
@@mankytoes I mean, all art is subjective. My issue has nothing to do with the style of her art, or whether or not I dislike it(tbh I loathe it), just that she was forcefully injecting(or at least trying to) *HER* art into a someone else's, where the two styles clashed.
It's obvious from his flash of a facial expression that it didn't fit. Kudos to him for continuing on as though nothing happened. You wouldn't know it except by looking for it on his face.
Women have been getting blamed for everything wrong since Eve.
Sigh. It never ends 😢
Eve's failure was actually on Adam for misinterpreting God's original words. He even acknowledges this after the two of them are exiled.
@@CaptainRaccoonWhitly still hasn't stopped religious fanatical men putting all the blame on Eve. They think all women are carbon copies of Eve. Some go further by calling the Holy Virgin Mary a "sinner" by default cause of her gender. Any feminine or woman is by default a sinner (worse than man) to those fanatical hypocrites.
What's even sadder is that it was Lucifer who convinced Eve to commit a sin by eating an apple of wisdow, and that after Adam was offered an apple, too, he didn't only eat the fruit, but also shared it with Eve. Yet, believers still blame Eve for everything and use her as the justification of their misogyny.
I heard a recorded interview with Yoko and John asking about this allegation. John noted how strange that sounds... No one looks to a group of guys and wonders what they're getting up to backstage (I'm paraphrasing).
A class look at this would be interesting because women are also given credit when a guy turns his life around. "He was a real loser until he met Ashley. Stopped drinking, got a job, and started saving" or "Bro, ever since you met Ashley you are a buzzkill, you won't even [insert insanely dangerous activity] with us anymore.
How can women be both always to blame & always to credit? I think it is because we are talking about two different archetypes: A woman of the same social class & a woman from a lower class that is social climbing.
1) If you see a woman with a man that makes similar amounts of money, you know how she got him: Same league + the default assumption that women are more responsible/mature/upholding standards = positive changes are the result of her
2) If you see a woman with an extremely rich/famous/successful man, you have no idea how she got him. She's bringing nothing to the table, he's bring everything in vast excess + he's shown he generates value, she is unknown = negative changes are the result of her
I find there isn't enough focus on really thinking about the context individuals of a group exist in. This results in muddled/conflicting analysis. Change the education, class, attractiveness, occupation, zip code, etc & society reading of that individual will change significantly
Any part of a narrative the public does not understand will be auto modified by the public, so the narrative makes sense
In the early 90's I went to Strawberry Fields in NYC to celebrate John Lennon's birthday. There were a lot of people there, playing and singing and leaving flowers and messages. Most of it was very positive. Except for one sign calling Yoko a b*tch. It was gross and sad.
Thank you for sharing. I think that was an important perspective to make public.
Yes! Flight of the Conchords mentioned.
I thought she sounded like a screeching owl. Especially in that Chuck Barry and John Lennon video. The look on Chuck Barry's face when Yoko started her howling was timeless.
not just Yoko, but whenever a man does something wrong, people will scramble to find a women to be responsible: his wife, his mother, his granny, a co-worker, check-out clerk, girl who turned him down... the man (nor his father) is never responsible for his bad behaviour.
I do think she might of influenced John to quit but not the sole person.
I will say my favorite Yoko reference is on family guy with Stewie introducing John and Yoko.
Lane on Gilmore Girls did defend Yoko and said the Beatles would have broken up anyway
This attitude is also more general. I have noticed that when a man in a relationship actually wants to spend time with his girlfriend or kids, the woman may be accused of "forcing" him to do so. As if she were some kind of dictator and he had no will of his own. And I also think there is many things about Yoko that doesn't fit for the classical girlfriend-trope. She was 9 years older than John, she was succesfull artist, she was foreginer, she was asian, she allready have a child and she has been married before.
Im a huge beatles fan but this is the same audience that conveniently forgets John was a wife beater
No one forgets that. What they forget is that Ringo nearly beat his wife to death.

I said it once and I'll say it again ad nauseum: the one who really broke up the Beatles was Mark Chapman.
It reminds me of Khaled Hosseini’s book, “A thousand splendid suns”. “Learn this now and learn it well. Like a compass facing north, a man’s accusing finger always finds a woman. Always. You remember that, Mariam.”

It’s true. Women are taught that it’s their responsibility to tame their abuser when in reality it’s the abuser’s fault. Women are blamed for getting raped by men because she was dressing too sexy or drinking too much when in reality it’s the rapist’s fault.
It's not projection It's fact lol and it proves you're not watching
The fact is they would have broken up about the time they did anyway even if she had never met John. The death of their manager Brian Epstein in 1967 was the real disaster which pulled the rug from under the band's feet. Now the band was pulled into all kinds of corporate hustles and became what they had tried to avoid. Paul and John also had creative differences and George had several ideas he simply couldn't use as long as he was part of a band.
The band members had simply matured and realized they weren't happy-go-lucky teens anymore. Paul and John were towering titans by their own and trying to get them to compromise and hold back for the other was always going to be next to impossible.

Harrison wouldn't have stayed with the group forever even if Lennon/McCartney could have gotten along.
People get far too involved in the lives of celebrities quite honestly. If a band decides to break up it is solely their business. We should all stay out of it. We don’t even know these people.
I have experienced a similar situation...four guys...thick as thieves, there for each other..close as brothers. We four..we band of brothers and the women who entered our lives didn't understand our bond and they were threatened by it.

The only thing you can blame Yoko for, is for being a terrible artist.
Separation of a band is always because band members EGO, always.
First comment, love you guys!! ❤❤
It's not dissimilar from the Harry and Meghan discourse which happened after they moved to the States.
Meghan was seen as the instigator and cause of this. Harry, of course, had no agency.
It's well known that Harry has always felt ill at ease within the RF (esp since his mother's death).
Part of his (unconscious) attraction to Meghan was that, being a foreigner, she offered a way out. It's also no coincidence that not only was Yoko Ono a foreigner, but she was non Anglo Saxon as well.
Harry was seen as a man with little agency or accountability. It's weird how men are seen as natural leaders, but when it comes to personal relationships revert back to being treated as children, essentially.
The Yoko/John Lennon story is a mirror to Meghan Markle being blamed for Harry leaving the Royal Family

The Beatles would've broken up anyway with or without Ono-San. However, claiming she had nothing to do with the breakup while the other three Beatles were sick of her presence, unsolicited advice, and her attempts at having John Lennon conscious of him being the better artist of the bunch were absolutely HORRENDOUS and UNHELPFUL. Let's be honest: women can be just as bad as men and have historically been.
Now, decades have passed and two Beatles are dead. Do you really believe sir McCartney would still have bad blood for her at his big age? Heck no. They have all moved on.
You contradicted yourself. Lol
She didn't just show up in the band's practice, Jon brought her the practice, Jon told the band that her opinions matter and that is why she was comfortable expressing her opinions.
Hypothetically, let's say that her presence and opinions are what broke the band up, that is says alot more about the state of the band members than her. The condition of the band had nothing to do with her.
Let's be honest, you almost never hear of a man being blamed for things like this, so in what world are the women just as bad as men? This weak argument gets thrown around every time a man is being held accountable for something. You literally just proved the videos point.
The member of the band is using his own mouth to tell you that Yoko had nothing to do with the issues they had and you, a random is still arguing with that. The woman has to be blamed somehow.
Search "yoko ono chuck berry". Yes, she's as terrible as they say.
It all comes back to sexism and racism. She didn't break them up, they broke themselves up. The fact it takes us 50 years to tell the truth says alot about our society.
I've always thought so, too . The fanbase is very male and white. As you'd expect, there was a lot of unnecessary vitriol flung yoko's way. I wonder how they (public and media )would have received a blonde English woman instead .
@@alexsobers1208 Majority male? Lol, like 80% of the Beatles fan base back in the day was teenage girls.
Everyone acting like she was OWED a spot in the band.
Ah, Abbecy Road. My favorite Beatles albucm.
!
I used to think this when I was a big fan of the Beatles, but I still don't like her
The wife of a former friend veted me and my pal from his life. "Yoko Ono" just got blamed for this toxic behavior done by many people. They couple recently got a divorce.
I was today years old when I learned Yoko Ono wasn’t the reason the Beatles broke up.
Will obviously you won't listening for the past sixty years.
@@Chelaxim honestly, I couldn’t care less about the Beatles. I’ve only seen clips of how terrible Yoko was at music.
OH please!!! A Gen Zs look back at Rock/Pop history! Rubbish!!!
And John Lennon wasn't Ono-san's first attempt at scoring a Beatle. So she was not the innocent little woman of color the narrative is painting her as. She had a self-motivated agenda and acknowleding such ain't no sin.
Yeah she actually came to Paul before she met John and he turned her away. Then she claimed that she didn’t know anything about the Beatles until she met John.
Lindsay Ellis just did this video. Weird timing 'The Take'...
Lindsay Ellis isn’t the first person to do a video in defense of Yoko Ono.
@@beethovensfidelio Nope, but she just happened to make one a few weeks ago that has all the points in this video and more. That is why I said "Weird timing".
People hate happy women. J'invite tout le monde à se demander pourquoi.
So, did you not actually watch The Idea of You before you decided to include it in your video? Because you're mispronouncing the main character's name.
People (idiots)also blamed Ariana grande for mac miller death
But Yoko actually literally broke a family
No, Lennon broke a family. It was John who DECIDED to abandon Julian and Cynthia. It was John who DECIDED to start an affair with Yoko despite being married. It was John who DECIDED to bring Yoko to the rehearsals. It was John who DECIDED to leave the Beatles. All of those things were LENNON's DECISIONS and he is to be blamed for what happened.
The same argument can be applied for these cases. He wanted to leave, it was his decition, so no Yoko's fault.
Yoko actually saved Cynthia for an unhappy marriage. There're people that just don't belong together.
@@fabricaHumanoide Agree
I will always love, enjoy and defend Yoko❤
@@chusty93yes,but she helped, she is not Innocent, she is also responsible, without Yoko wouldn't be cheating, because you can't cheat and sleep with someone else by yourself.
Please do a take on how society thinks that if two people in a couple are successful, it's because the man helped the woman or how it's the man did everything for a woman, not she herself. For example, Kurt Cobain and Courtney Love, Brody Dalle and her (abusive stalker) exes Tim Armstrong & Josh Homme...some ppl still think that the men in these couples wrote all the songs for the amazing talented women, cause surely a woman can't be talented?? like wtf
Barbie always get the blame all the time
We've suffered the bemoanment of incels worldwide for half a century--contant whining that a woman broke up the best band to ev4r exist wah wah wah king baby
Classic sexism of blaming women for the problems of men.
Yoko is amazing ❤
Amazingly bad
Stop making excuses. Just imagine bringing your boyfriend to your work meetings. "Oh it's ok, he won't say anything, he'll just sit there twirling his hair". Gmafb, you know it's a distraction. Sure, John had to do a lot with it, but she didn't have to act so insecure and glom on to him and coast off of him.
If you are that easily distracted at work because someone was twirling their hair, that is a “you” problem.
How are those excuses, he was a big man and made adult choices to choose himself and her over other commitments . And it sounds like the other members were drifting apart too at the time with or without Yoko
the Beatles aren't even good I'm so tired of people pretending they're the Greatest Band In The World 🙌
thank you❤john lennon is the most overrated person in the world!!!
three things you will never see in your life
1) Bigfoot
2) Dinosaur
3) Woman takes responsibility for her actions
Aww someone hates smart women I see
@@alexsobers1208Yoko Ono is the opposite of smart
@@alexsobers1208 I don't know, When I see one I will tell you
Women taking blame? You mean avoiding accountability
She's a beautiful person and a fascinating artist, with a terrific sense of humor. And if John had any chance at being not a total POS, she deserves credit for being a good influence.
She’s a horrible person AND a terrible artist
@@georgelucas2571agree. Can’t get what some people see in her “art”.
Paul broke the band up. Being a prick. It was George that walked out because Paul scratched his nose with his middle finger. And if you think your friend has a ugly gf it's not your business john should have wrote him off before George did.
I think Yoko Ono is BETTER-LOOKING as a woman than John Lennon ever was as a guy!
Yoko is a genius. John Lennon was lucky to be with her and he knew it.
