Agree. Yesterday at a consultation, a parent told me that this year’s math teacher is really great and homework comes home every 2 days. In the past couple years, not much math homework had been coming home so it’s quite possible the student is behind and that’s why they’re struggling in the current environment.
I know that for some students, having good grades on homework assignments can help boost their overall class average. Maybe tests are hard for them and test grades are so-so, but having good homework grades is necessary to boost a class average.

Great video. Love the podcast style! I had a maths teacher that used you tell you off when you didn’t get an answer right! That’s why I had to redo my maths again as an adult because of it.
Also, that old school routine of shaming students for incorrect answers is definitely best left in the past! Math is, indeed easier to understand as an adult 🤷♀️
