The jail is not for the window tint. The jail is if you miss the court appearance. If you keep ignoring the law, then eventually you will end up in jail, even if it is a minor violation. Otherwise why would anyone follow the law, if they can just ignore it without consequences?
43% does look really nice… but I do prefer to have slightly darker. If you do 35% you’ll usually be fine and it looks a lot better.

Get ceramic tint when you redo it, keeps the heat out no matter how light or dark it is. 35% still looks decent up front.
You should get window tint that is still legal, I mean you were convinced that the cops tint was too dark so the legal rating still does something.
Clayton or Tyrell can definitely get you good/effective 50% tint and with the windshields done 70% you would still get the benefits and be legal. As a fellow Utah motorist, CHANGE THE LAW!
If anybody is wondering why he isn’t uploading, if you remember from a past video, he was going to travel to Alaska in the Urus when you could go through the Canadian Border again. Since you can do that now, he is probably going to or already in alaska.

Even if he got a 43% film, it would still be illegal. You have to take in account what the OEM glass is, which is usually around 13-15%.

@@norfskate don't knock me for the laws, I didn't make them. I'm just saying that even if he got a 45% film, they can still ticket him if they want to. And considering he's been pulled over twice now already, I can't imagine they'd be very lenient on a 3rd. Also, film is measured in VLT (visual light transmission), where the lower the #, the darker it is. So, if he wanted to stay within the law in Utah, he would have to get a film somewhere in the 55-60% area.

I live in humid Texas with a RCSB Silverado manual fishbowled with no A/C or fan. I had to take my tint off for state inspection. You got it pretty easy bro.

Gotta love Utah's tint law. We failed a Dare car for a northern utah city for failing tint during their safety inspection once. They did not like that!! Do as they say, not as they do!
i'd be happy with a 43% limit for tint... where i live, theres a 0% limit, you'll get a ticket and the police will make you remove the tint before they let you go.

@@RaceCarFriends Yeah, they look cool, but are still severely overrated. And there are many more cars that sound WAY better! I've owned 3 McLarens. My third had so many issues (I took delivery of it with 1.9 miles on it!!) and the way not just the sales people but folks within the company itself acted/treated me/denied everything totally turned me off from them. I work in the automotive aftermarket and m very active in my local car community/local car culture and have unfortunately met many others who've gone through far worse with them than I have. I doubt I'd even take a free F1 at this point.

Hey Stradman, I don’t know if you will see this but I love your content and I have been supportive you for a few years. Keep up the amazing work!
2:56 Daily business here in Germany. We are not allowed to put dark tint on our front windows (windshield, driver and passenger door) at all.
register your business in Montana and register the cars as company cars, you only have to follow state compliance which means, no emissions, no real tickets (camera based), no tint compliance aka you can go as dark as state laws which I believe isn't really regulated in Montana and you dont need inspection stickers and all that. if you need a location check out "americas mailbox" its a rental PO Box which you can grab online for cheap lol and if you really want to you can spend one night and switch to a Montana license which makes your entire fleet valid and you're not bothered about switching your registration or license over to each place! (feel free to do a bit more research as im sure different states offer a similar service with respective laws and compliance codes but for my ppl in NYC like me its been a life saver for a bunch of my people)

Surprised Clayton hasn’t told James it isn’t the darkness of the tint that provides the heat rejection…. Just get a good quality tint with high heat rejection at the legal darkness and no issue.
That’s because heat doesn’t actually have anything to do with why he tints his windows. He does it to look cool. No matter how many times he mentioned the heat. There are clear films that block heat better than tint can.

Dude, if you moved to Llano county in Texas, you can put almost ANY, and I mean ANY modifications to your car. All they check are lights and brakes are functional. No emissions testing of any kind. You can straight up have stage 5+ mods like racing down pipes and straight uncatted exhaust systems

Hey James. If you are going to get a P1, I strongly advise you get a racing lessons and a racing licence.
Look at the clips of Jeremy Clarkson driving the P1 fast.
He's absolutely crapping himself, and says it's constantly trying to kill him.
You can get tint waivers. Just go to the eye doctor, tell him the sun really effects your eyes while driving, pay him whatever he charges and you’re good to go.

Window tint is amazing... I couldn't imagine life without it. I'm glad they offer lighter tint with the same heat reduction properties though.

I own a tint shop in southern Utah and legit 80% or more of my customers request illegal tint. Probably one of the dumbest laws, especially in Southern Utah where we are constantly over 100 degrees in summer.
