- My new-to-me, 1997 BMW E36 M3 sedan. 283,000 miles, ugly wheels, a faded and tattered front end, and many other problems rearing their heads... A full project indeed.
Regardless of the imminent long list of things the car will eventually need, I still have a theory around what one FIRST does upon purchasing a car to clean up. A polish here, and easy bit of parts swapping there, proper tint and wheels.... and so on.

I wish everyone did this. I can’t talk to much because I’m upgrading my car. But I definitely want to buy neglected-ish cars and restore them.
Love the work so far. The Contours make all the difference!
Car looks great.....miss my 1997 Estoril blue M3 ......
What a great cosmetic transformation! Bringing it back stock looks sooo much better imho. I have a ‘97 M3/4/5 that I have spent a ton of time and money the past 3 years refurbishing; love these cars. Great to see another individual caring for the classics as well!
Didn't realize how bad the paint was before. IRL it looks like fresh paint from all the work you put in 🤘
I prefer the E36 BMWs that came equipped with factory rear window blinds.
Sammmm!!!! Great start and it’s looking great! Looking forward to the next chapter. Love the hair too!
Holy shit that rear tint came off like butter. I replaced some failed tint on the rear of my legacy and sure woulda been nice to know that trick. I wrecked my defrost and wasted hours scraping
I like how your tires has bmw Motorsport colors
Had the same thought!!
The hair 😂 One of the best things about your content is that you can do both (professionalism and entertaining) at the same time.
Looking like the Winter Soldier for a sec 😂 Holy shit what an absolutely fantastic video, dude.
Nice man! I have a 97 technoviolet coupe. Bought it with a blown head gasket so it’s getting a rebuild. I wish I had the confidence to go at the paint like you did, mine needs it bad.
Clean dude!! Beautiful, shiny, really impressive hair
Car looks alright too
Great car and great video! Can’t wait for future episodes
Dang! What a transformation. That’s a lot of tedious work. I’m also glad to see the Rogaine is working so well.
Man I'm impressed with how well that single stage polish or whatever did, I'm going to have to try that out.
glitter was from a girl that asked me to homecoming 😂. could never get rid of all of it!
Glad this info is cleared up, it is EVERYWHERE in my garage lol. Vacuuming from underneath seat cushions and beyond it as we speak.
Man, the fact that you found a Hellrot car that still had enough clear coat to wet sand is notable... I don't remember the last time I saw an E36 with *any* clear coat here in Arizona.
such a good transformation. can’t wait for part 2! had to do the head gasket job on mine a few years back as well
Great stuff man!
Awesome video dude 😉
great filming, subbed instantly!
will this be a manual swap? thanks for going into details with paint etc. going to use some of these tips on my sienna rot E39 project
Glad you got some value from that- and yep going manual, just dropped the next video today where that auto gets addressed and removed forever.
