Except for the error about one son or two, it's nice to have a story that's short and to the point......and ends well.
Exactly, one moment the father says our only son, the next barely a minute the narrator says Larry's brother walked in. It really discredits the so called message.
The first meeting with the parents was all anyone needed to tell Larry and his whole family to go pound sand.
I would have broken things off at that point. This was clearly beyond getting to know you type questions indicating future probable trouble.

There are only few countries in the world, where single parent are considered some kind of taboo, and those are South East Asian Countries. I am not sure why they think and behave like this towards single parents.
In fact, the rest of the world praises a single parent for their sacrifice, dedication, devotion, love, and care.

What is wrong with a single parent family? Life is full of events that affect the outcome, single parent family is not an overwhelming factor.
Once again the title and title description are not what happens in the story. Asking for $8500 and all bonuses? Nope, If you are not okay with that you can leave, nope. Don’t misrepresent a short, low impact story by trying to hype it up in the title. It makes your listeners angry.

The lack of punctuation is disturbing. It makes the story very difficult to follow.
This is not a good story for an American audience. Culturally not applicable to modern American families. Being a single parent is pretty much the norm, and not an issue in the US. No groom in the US would act the Larry did.
You obviously haven’t dated a mamas boy. Many cultures within the us are like this.
