I used to hate how commercials like these would come on in repeat while I'm watching my shows. Now I'm so thankful that I can revisit them like a photo album or something. It just teleports me back with nostalgia to when I used to watch these on the regular!
In reality the racoon parents were sadists and were malnourishing their child, baby racoon fell ill shortly afterwards and was hospitalized, the parents lost custody and the mother went to prison for a while. Baby racoon was sent to a foster home and had a troubled childhood, turned to drugs and died of an overdose several years later.
Careful baby, some mushrooms are not for baby raccoons, they're for daddy raccoons for when he's finished a long day at raccoon work.
This has to be one of the most heart warming PSAs ever... Aww, baby raccoon.
