Love your videos for the Yarrow wristlet/pouch! I bought the pattern but I am a visual learner and this video was very helpful! I made the wristlet and I absolutely love it. My card slot holds 7 cards! So I can fit my keys, all my cards, my license, insurance cards, my small card wallet and my phone in the wristlet. And my bills and change go in the small zipper slot. Thank you so much! Making some more soon for gifts! 🙂
Great explanation and visuals, which helps shoes of us who are more visual learners. I’m looking forward to making this pattern I’ve been eyeing it for a while, time to make it.
I am such a visual learner so this is great to see the steps you take to make the project. I can't wait to make the wristlet size. I think I'm going to use some essex Driftless for my exterior. ❤️
Thanks for the video and wonderful pattern. I couldn't wait and started already and am already regretting my impatience. #1. I used waxed canvas and #2. somehow my card slot turned out 5" instead of 4.5". I have no idea why.
Don't be too hard on yourself Colleen! You could always switch gears and try a different exterior fabric for this first time through. I would go back and double check your initial piece of fabric for the card slot is the correct size and then check where you marked your fold lines. Hope that helps! :)
Thanks Juile! Yes, you could definitely do Big Sur. It's on the heavy end of the recommended fabric weights, so I think you'd be okay just using SF101 (or other similar fusible woven interfacing) on it. :)
Hi Anna, love the video, super helpful! I have a question on the leather used for the exterior pocket. What weight and stiffness your recommend for the pocket? Also, can you recommend a few sources where we can find these leathers? Thank you!
Hi Ying, glad it's helpful. I just used some scrap leather (from my shop). It's about a 4 oz. weight. I would recommend experimenting though to see what works best for you and your machine. Maybe if there's enough interest I can put together some scrap packs for this purpose?
Thanks Lynette! I would say if you're used to working with faux leather you'd be okay, but if it's new to you I'd recommend trying a cotton canvas first. :)
Anna do you have a needle size and type that you can recommend for sewing through these thicker interfaced pieces ? Thank you! I love this pattern. Making my wristlet now
Either tooth size would work, but typically a size 3 zip is only 1" wide whereas the size 5 is usually the 1.25" wide (which is the width I recommend). :)
Thanks for making the video. I have questions about the zippers. You suggested not to use metal zippers. The samples you showed seemed like they are metal. Are they? Also, do you have any recommendations for suppliers for 12" and 8" x 1.25" zippers. I am having a hard time finding reasonably priced zippers with these dimensions. I have tried JoAnn Fabrics, Etsy, and Amazon. Thanks!!
Hi Renee, they aren't metal! It's a nylon tooth zipper that's made to look like metal. I have links in the video description (just click the drop down arrow to find those). I also sell some of the zippers in my shop (linked in the description as well). Hope that helps! :)
@@noodleheadsewingpatterns I will definitely have to check out this twill. Can you please give me the deets again? I know you mentioned it in the video. These sew along videos are very helpful, btw. I am starting the Redwood Tote. Do you have a video for that one? Thank you very much.

I love your method of using your ruler to cut the pattern pieces without using pins.
Glad it was helpful! :)
The leather wristlet is gorgeous.
I love your patterns and tutorials 🤸♀️

Thank you for your compliment!
Hi! are there any chances of you making videos for the "Divided Basket"? it would be greatly appreciated!! thank you!

Also, we'll be going over the lining construction (including card slots) in next week's video. :)
Olá!⚘
I just bought this pattern from my quilt shop. Will it be an updated version? The copyright says 2022
Hi! The paper version is the most up to date version, no updates apply.
Great intro, I can’t wait to get started! Would you recommend Big Sur canvas? And what interfacing would you recommend? Many thanks Anna!

@@noodleheadsewingpatterns Anna thank you! I would be interested in a scrap pack.,
I'm really digging this pattern. I just ordered it...so faux leather would not work here, right?

Yep! I use a denim size 14 or a microtex size 14.
for the pouch you mention a regular nylon zipper, so a size 3, not a size 5? Thank you

that answered my question. it does look look like metal.
Would waterproof canvas be OK? I have some from Sew Many Creations but don't know the weight. Thanks.
Yes, I think it would work for the lining. :)
Do you have a particular size die in the press for the rivet?
Yes, it corresponds to the cap size of the rivet.
Where can I get that measuring gauge ? It looks like I need it😜
Hey Kelly! I have it linked in the description. If you click "show more" you should be able to see it. Hope that helps. :)
I thought that twill one was leather. Even better. I am a vegan and prefer to stay away from leather. Can't wait to start on one of these.
Yes! So many great colors of twill out there. :)
