  • When I was doing my research about Trolltunga, I could tell it was an epic hike and something that I would really love to do. However, I was here in May and that was the off season for hiking.
    The internet was recommending guided walks but that was not something I wanted. I was hesitant at first as I did not know what conditions I would face. I decided to go ahead anyways and decided to film my experience so you can make an informed decision when considering this hike. I hope you enjoy watching this video as much as i enjoyed making it.
    P.s Weather here in May is really unpredictable and I had to wait for 2 rainy days to pass before attempting to hike. Something that you should take into consideration when planning your itinerary.

      Gamer 4 life it’s a good hike and I would totally recommend you bring a tent so you can spend the night there and have the place to yourself 😁

    Thanks for the info! I plan on doing this hike in July, but looping around the other side of the lake for a 3 day trip. Any insight on the condition of the trail on the southern side? Great channel by the way. Subscribed.

    I am amazed about how quiet is was, so few people doing this?

      Roel E in the summer months I heard there is a lot of people attempting the hike. But I did it right before summer. Maybe that’s why it was relatively quiet :)

    Hi, I am planning to go this 30th May I am wondering if you brought any snow spikes with you and where do you set up your camp?

    • @BernardLau1991
      @BernardLau1991  Před rokem

      I didn’t use any snow spikes. I don’t think it is necessary as the conditions aren’t that extreme. But then again, it’s good to be prepared for any weather. There are no camping restrictions so I camp literally next to the iconic spot. Hope this helps!

    Planning to hike next week😅 is it mandatory to have a guide if the trail is still with snow?

    • @BernardLau1991
      @BernardLau1991  Před 4 lety

      Apple Joy Viernes nope you won’t need a guide but they do recommend you have one for safety. I did it when there was snow on the trail and I did feel quite safe haha. Plus there are other groups with guides and I’m sure they will offer assistance if you need any. 😂
