    This may sound crazy, but could you do an assembly video. Because I don’t believe there instructions are that good, I need to be sure when building the stand.

    Hi! Does this boom arm have an anti-slim groove/cut on the pin? I hope you understand what I mean :)

    How long is the horizontal pole? What's the name of the horizontal pole?

    Very helpful! I'm considering this or the Impact LSA-BASB that you have previously reviewed and attaching to c-stands I already own. Do you prefer one over the other? I want a boom stand that can hold up to 8lbs fully extended, can extend pretty far out for overhead lighting, and is super solid and safe when attached to light stands (GVM connection looks sketchy). The impact c-stands I have say they're capacity is 22lbs which seems really low while the GVM C-stand says 44lbs. Lots going on here but would really appreciate your opinion!

      Both of these booms are 100% equally as solid comparing the two, but, as you already know, the impact boom has a much solid stand hookup than the GVM. I love the GVM boom too. But If I were to choose again, I’ll stick with the impact boom regardless what they say about capacity. If the GVM says it can hold twice the load, trust me, if that’s the case, so can the impact. They are nearly identical in built, thickness and robustness.

    Can the boom pole support a light like the Generay / NiceFoto 330w with a softbox and the ballast? What’s the maximum weight the pole can safely support?

      @ArtVideoProductions  Před 3 lety

      This pole can easily handle the nicefoto 330W with a softbox. Piece of cake. As you saw in the video, I can load a ridiculous 20Lbs Genaray Twin Sun 2x1 metal panel. The proper way is: AS LONG AS you retract 2” of each pole back in and BALANCE the boom, it will handle a lot of different panels. Now… USE CAUTION as these booms can really hurt you if you do something wrong.

    tbh a c stand is in general the wrong stand for any boom bigger than a grip arm

      Sorry I'm not very knowledgeable in this.. but would you recommend? I want a stand and a boom to hold a key light with a 90cm softbox at the max length of a grip arm or a tiny little bit further but in the some times I want the arm to extend further more to mount a boom mic when needed instead

      @@YosefRaffah e.g. an avenger combo stand is a much better fit for booming lights.
