Prettiest combine driver I ever did see. Prayers to you and family. Thank you for farming, I know its hard. Grew up on a dairy farm myself but Dad had to give it up, mom was a city gal and didn't care for the country 🤦. Wish we never left it. Take care.
One of our friends in Saskatchewan used to run his Massey-Ferguson dealership. A lot of his farmer friends used to run Massey equipment. His service was superb. He is an excellent mechanic. I mentioned it before that I ran a Massey pulling a rake on my uncle's farm. (They borrowed the rake from another farm.) It worked well. That Massey tractor used a Chrysler flat head six cylinder engine. I felt good running that tractor about one week. I enjoy your videos.
It's always nice to see family working together helping each other to get the job done and Ethan is a good one to learn from, you did good. Loved the aerials, I hope your day was good, have a great week, what's left of it!
It’s Really Neat that Farmers are willing to Share their Equipment with Other Farmers like your Family. Very Smart since you have a House Full of Mechanics. 😬👍
good to be able to share equipment. ten years ago, aprox I looked and used combines were around half a million, then you needed a grain head and a corn head. I don't have any guess about how much money I have seen in equipment, storage, and buildings, but it is more than I will ever have. but I know how much knowledge and work it takes to keep it all running, and I don't have that either. glad to see your success and blessings.
Yay! Bonus video to watch while waiting for the bread to come out of the oven. Now that you're a combine driver, your brother in law will be calling for help next harvest. Did Sanders get enough snow this past weekend to try out the snow blower? God bless, stay safe and warm.
Thanks for the video, Rhonda! Looks like you are doing a great job on the combine. A bit more practice will make you make you more comfortable and be able to relax! Have a great day 😀
Glad you got to learn at a snail's pace on your own field. My dad had us learn in the deep end, but having one operator who can feel and listen to the harvesters (from grain to cotton to cucumbers) really helps prevent major breakdowns by catching them when you hear or feel the first inkling of a problem. I look forward to your farm videos, but I love seeing what great parents you are. Congratulations on raising one fine family in today's world and all that entails work wise.
Ronda; I’m so glad you had fun, you looked a little nervous at first, i get a little nervous running a new to me piece of machinery but as you said after running it you get more and more comfortable with it❤😊 God Bless you Ronda 😊
Thanks Rhonda for the info about the combine I was just wondering how many bushel that would hold and how fast the unloading was. It looked like it was emptying very fast. Enjoy watching your videos. Thank you and your family for letting us tag along
One of my farmer friends asked me to helps him with a bin dryer motor that his dog yanked the wires out of chasing a mouse. That morphed into a few other small electrical jobs. As an electrician, I don't get an opportunity to ever run a combine in my course of work so when he offered I run some corn with his John Deere 9400 combine, I could not get to the field fast enough. I loved it! I considered his bill paid in full!
When you have cab corn for the first time, that’s when you truly know you’re a newbie. You and Ethan did well. It’s been nearly 30 years since I combined corn. At that time we were using John Deere eight row head combining at 6 miles an hour with one grain cart. Hauling out to three trucks hauling away. My primary role was the green cart. I really don’t miss those days that much.
Sorry I had to chuckle at the look you gave the camera when you were behind the wheel of the combine! I was thinking also that the combine should be easier than the chopper, it actually takes awhile to learn all the ins and outs of a combine. Good job!
Great video! You took to the combine like a duck to water. Give anyone that farms a little bit of instruction, and they will figure it out in no time at all. It's our nature to try to do it all the best we can.👍👍
Another great video guys it's amazing how your willing to take on anything Rhonda as well as being a wife mother and housewife you do a great job nice see Ethan teaching you how to work the machine he is very competent in what he is doing and so are you great teamwork it was very interesting to see how that machine works I've learnt how a combine actually works an amazing machine thankyou ❤.
I ran the neighbors Massey 9790 thru most of his corn this year. It was a learning experience for sure. A bit different than running the grain cart for years! I was told, the roof of the cab is supposed to be ALL white , not 3/4 yellow 🤣🤣 In our ground, there are very few level spots, so if the buzzer goes off, you gotta stop. Too bad youtube doesn't have smellavison. I like the smell of corn drying.
Well you certainly learned a new skill running a combine. You did good for your first time. What is McKenzie going to do with her goats? Hopefully after she gets settled she will be making soap again. Like I said before I gave a few bars to a friend who had areas of extremely dry skin to the point it was causing a rash. Her soap healed the problem and her skin is once again smooth and soft to the touch. Bruce
Ronda you are a very diverse woman you can do things that most people cant do I have so much respect for you and your entire family thanks for sharing with us
Ronda, you milk cows, run the trucks, and now run the combine. You could say at mealtime, "I did not get a chance to cook any supper, . . . I was busy running the combine." 😂
Great video Ronda. Thank you! Excellent video shots inside the cabs and above the combine. Great editing and your choice of music was grand. I know it's hard work just running a farm befor your CZcams channel, but you make it look like it's Sunday morning. We received about 3" of snow the other day but it melted off the drive and sidewalks. I hope you all have a prosperous fiscal year and work safety. Say hi to Makenzie and thanks for inviting me into your world. ben/ michigan
Rhonda, You are awesome!! You did a great job, better than most people could do!! You have a natural talent for mechanical things!! Thanks so much!! Does that facility also clean your seed?!!
