Yes but Sweeney Todd in it's entirety existed all the way back to the seventies as the Broadway musical that the movie was based on. I for one think it's inspired to make it a musical, to reflect their whirlwind romance as tainted with murderous insanity, as it should. And that final shot is pure genius. This is a filmmaker who gives a damn and is wiling to take risks. I want to see this.

I for one think it's inspired to make it a musical, to reflect their whirlwind romance as tainted with murderous insanity, as it should. And that final shot is pure genius. This is a filmmaker who gives a damn and is wiling to take risks. I want to see this.
