Not sure why these companies are claiming cold pressed when the seed has to be heated before extraction to remove the poison in the seeds

Answer, after processing the hulls w heat, the beans containing the actual ricinoleic acid are removed and cold pressed to obtain the "first fruits" of the oil.

I’m 57 and have been using castor oil on my face for three months and my skin is ✨glowing ✨ The pores on and around my nose are drastically smaller. The sun spots are gone! I massage castor oil into my eyelids for dry eyes and floaters and I haven’t had any floaters for over a year and my drys eyes are way better!
I want to try this but was told it isn't good to the get castor oil actually IN your eye. You just massage the outside eyelid and it works? I hate my dry eyes and floaters and there is really nothing else that seems to help.
@@guitargirl4himify I just got a floater a month ago. When I was at the eye doctor for my yearly update for contacts he showed me it on the screen, he said they move around and never go away. That there was no known cure for it. Are you sure it just didn't re-locate? Those things are way in the eye and the eyeball has a protective film(?) all around it.

You can do the ENTIRE face easily if you dilute. I blend 1/3 jojoba oil, 1/3 coconut oil, 1/3 castor oil - into a 15 ml roller bottle. I also add a drop or two of a few essential oils that support healthy skin. Like Frankincense, Sandalwood, Geranium, and Lavender.
I will directly roll onto my face with the roller bottle. Then Blend well with fingers. I do this in the morning after washing and before makeup. 😍
Hello, I have had a hard time sleeping my whole adult life and now use a couple drops of castor oil in my belly every night and I am sleeping at night. I do also rub castor oil all over my legs to help with my varicose veins and I found out it’s helping me not have cramps in my legs at night. And I love the way my skin feels.

I heard it’s good to put on dogs hotspots and allergy skin outbreaks, have not heard anything about it being toxic to dogs so now I’m confused
@@shelldaniel6412 it’s definitely toxic to them if taken by mouth. I am wondering the same about how safe it is for dogs topically as some have claimed it keeps ticks and fleas off as well.
@@shelldaniel6412 the seed, especially, but the whole plant is toxic to people and animals. The seeds have to be roasted for like 20 minutes prior to oil extraction to remove that. The poison is used commercially to kill moles and other rodents. Still I have read that even the processed oil can be very bad for dogs and cats if taken orally.
I use castor oil on my lower back overnight with a wrap. It has helped my disc problems. Highly recommend
I just came across one of your videos where you are applying make-up products for mature skin. Now I have checked out your CZcams and following you on social media platforms. I am 50 and it seems all make-up related tutorials are young people and most are glam looks... that's not me.. except for special occasions and I don't do glam the way they do glam..I tone it done about 10 notches. So I'm glad i stumbled across your video...finally a woman with mature skin to help us women with mature skin!! THANK YOU! And I will be using castor oil for areas of my body.. I've used on brows before with great results.

One thing I found out accidentally when I had an infection on my tooth implant: I got herpes, one after another and since I use castor oil since a couple of months, I put the oil on the herpes and on the next one and the next one, and what can I say: The all went away before they opened and hurt. Hi. How do you apply it?? Did your vision got better or it has been good and you maintain it with the oil??
You need to use castor oil on for months and it DOES get rid of bone spurs. It depends on how long the bone spur has been there. It takes a long time but it does work. Keep going for a year. We use it ongoing. We use Pillow protectors and we use Egyptian cotton pillow cases, the pillow cases wash clean. If you do apply a very little bit on your clean face, swipe a little bit over your eye lids. It keeps your eyes healthy. Go to sleep, it does work. I have seen people who have used castor oil to get rid of their cataracts but they used it when cataract first starts. Hope this helps. ♥️🙏🏽

Bone spurs, huh? I know of a person who could have used castor oil in the sixties......might have saved the US a boatload of trouble....
I like the suggestion read elsewhere to apply about 2 hours before going to bed on all areas of your face. That time will allow the oil to be absorbed into the skin and you wont be as oily/greasy as you would otherwise be applying JUST before going to bed. It DOES make a difference.

Toe nails, use clove oil daily, or tee tree oil.
It has some element in it that degrades calluses, worts and bumps so that must be why it also helps cellulite and belly fat. That’s why I don’t put it all over my face but I put it on a few little growths on my face and my elbows and my belly, as well as upper arms where I have a little cellulite.
I’ve been using lash n brow serums for years and they aren’t cheap! I’ve been able to stop using them since I started applying castor oil for several weeks.
I'm using aloe vera gel as my carrier. It's not oily and works great.

If you're using a pump it has a plastic tube. The Castor oil will break down the plastic and you might as well have been using castor oil stored in a plastic bottle.
I have read this too! That the plastic tube can degrade the castor oil. Does Amazon or another company (maybe Uline?) carry a glass pump dispenser in different sizes?
They do make pumps with glass straws but you have to hurt for them.

I buy a 4 oz bottle in dark glass and a glass dropper. The squeeze part of the dropper does not touch the oil. I get mine at a health store

I just put all my hair into a comfy wooly type hat, slather my skin in castor oil, and sleep with hat on. It protects my hair from grease/oil.
Regarding your recurring nail fungus, it's important to sterilize our nail clippers and files as these can carry fungus. We were brought up on castor oil as kids as the panacea for all ills, usually on a teaspoon which I could never tolerate but I do use it on my skin. Nice video by the way.

I got a Baker's cyst in the back of my knee. I had to be so careful with my leg, I couldn't bend my knee at all. I started rubbing about 2 Tbsp in my knee and rubbing it in good all around front and back and sides of knee. I did it morning and nighttime everyday for 2 1/2 weeks and my knee was 75% better. I am still doing it and my knee is at least 90% better. I have huge bags under both eyes and thought oh well I'm going to rub some under my eyes, the bags go down in a couple minutes. It is amazing for me, I'm so glad I tried it.

I used to suffer terribly with osteoarthritis and used to take 6-8 panados daily. Then I heard about magnesium oil spray which I bought and sprayed a bit at the back of my knees and within a few minutes I felt the pain disappear. The bottle lasted me almost 4 months and I never had to buy another bottle, cos my pain disappeared completely. Now I hardly take any pain tablets anymore. Also, since I have been using castor oil on my face and eyelashes I have noticed they have lengthened by about 1 cm over about 3 months. I'm 66 and found that it didn't really make my wrinkles disappear, but did soften them a bit. I also rubbed some on my lips every night and it did plump up my lips slightly too. Tip : put a hand towel over your pillow when sleeping with castor oil on your face, and you can also place a large bath sheet on top of your sheet to avoid oil on your clean sheets and pillow cases.

I have blepharitis and my bottom lashes disappeared. I've been applying castor oil to eyelids both upper and lower for 6 months. So far the blepharitis hasn't flared up and some bottom lashes have started growing in. I'm so delighted.

I used it for the first time last night, I tied my hair back washed my face, and put castor oil dabbed allover my face and spreading with water on my fingertips, let soak for an hour, and took off with a hot washcloth….my face looked so fresh in the morning! Am going to get coconut oil to mix 1/2 and a 1/2 to help spread easier….oh by the way, I had used it on my hands and left it in…wow my hands are soft and more plumpy….so I am going to use it everywhere! My hair is dry so am going to try it there….also had put a teeny bit on my 11 area between the eyes and my eyelids, and for around the mouth cause I’m starting to get marionette lines….it was better in the morning, no kidding! 😁
For people who applied the castor oil on their hair, one wrote the best way they've found to clean their hair later in the shower is to first apply conditioner, work that in, rinse it out, and then use shampoo - rinse. And last - their normal amount of conditioner + rinse. Somehow putting the conditioner on their hair first helped the castor oil to rinse out of their hair better rather than starting with shampoo.
I'm not even 40 yet and I've had age spots on my hands for quite many years. I started using only castor oil with either coconut/olive or jojoba oil and after about 3 months of using only that mixture for my skin, I started noticing that age spots are not as visible anymore. After 6 months altogether, I see a big difference. It certainly helps!

I think castor oil IS a carrier oil, so if I need to dilute the oil, I use a peptide cream (I like the one from Nude Body $40) on my legs n body. It takes things to another level ❤.
Otherwise I use a regular lotion Hempz or Hemp Nation for anything else that requires dilution.
You look great. This is my first time seeing one of your videos. I don't know if you have ever researched or tried the carnivore diet, but many people have found that eating only meat has reversed issues like eye floaters, toenail fungus, and eczema.
I was a true skeptic also. I've been using it now for 36 days. I started just on my face. Initially (2 hrs before bed). I didn't like it because it's so heavy. But I stayed with it. Then before bed, I applied a little extra on and around my eyelids and massaged it in gently (for dry eye). I honestly did not believe it was going to work. I'm like, yeah, right. But after two weeks, I started to notice that I wasn't putting in my eye drops. I wasn't experiencing the dry eye. So, then I started putting it on my feet and ankles two hours before bed (mainly for plantar fasciitis). Slathering and massaging in. Wearing footies to contain the oil. Then removing the footies to go to bed. Again, not believing anything would happen. But now, when I get out of bed, my arches don't hurt anymore. This is just too crazy! I bought some microfiber, white pillow cases at Target, so I wouldn't stain or ruin my other pillow cases. And boy, are they ever soft. I have not noticed any staining. Which you would think you'd see on white fabric. We'll see how it goes.
I've been using castor oil on seborrheic keratoses on my face just the past few days and they're fading!! I have a couple on my chest which are bigger and I’m continuing to use on them, and they’re softening. I’m over 70 and will try on lines on my face.

@@Hope-ot1xy I just dab a little undiluted dot straight onto the spots on my face at night and rub it in. I also use it straight onto the ones on my chest and cover with a band-aid, applied daily and covered. They soften and then rub off after a few days.

Absolutely love castor oil! I have dry curly hair, and I actually apply the oil to my scalp in 5 areas and then scrunch the ends. In the morning, my hair is fluffy , fresh, and beautiful! I use it for shoulder pain and neck pain, too. My father n law healed a knee injury using castor oil. I am a rectal cancer survivor, and my skin stays dry. I use the oil with my Mary Kay, and I am 60. Our grandson had hand, foot, and mouth disease. When I arrive his blisters had popped out. I applied castor oil daily. They never blistered and were gone by the 2nd day.
Have aquired bunions, pain even walking with flat shoes. Discovered CO, Applied this daily. After a few days hardly any discomfort whatsoever now when walking. I didnt think it would work, but it does.

I gave been using it for 3 months. No difference. I got a flaky spot after a month of use on my cheek so apply castor oil mixed with argan oil and it went in a few days

I am using castor oil for the menstrual cramps and the result is perfect, no more pain killers. I am curing any muscle and joint pains for instance, my carpal tunnel pain. I also use it n my arm pits instead of deodorant much more successfully than the deodorants and last longer no any odors whole day long . Much healthier option for chemical deodorant ingredients.

@@gloryb-tv I am applying with small massaging after the morning shower. Because this area is kind of dry it doesn’t really take long to safely ware my clothes. For instance if I will wear a silky light blouse I would ware few more minutes. I am spreading the castor oil and I am not applying big amount and not in really thick layer so I have never had any oily spots on my clothes. You can try with small amount and will see the results. I don’t think you need a lot to work well against odors just thin layer is preventing growth of bacteria creating underarm odors

Hiya GloryB! That coconut oil must have something in it to keep it liquid. Normally, coconut oil solidifies in cooler temperatures and I don't just mean cool, even warmer temps. I find that temps of 20+ degrees Celsius are still enough to solidify regular (edible) coconut oil. I really enjoyed your informative vlog on castor oil. I'll give it a try. I turn 64 this year and take care of myself as you do. It's amazing how self-care (and probably some good genes) can keep you looking 20 years younger than you really are. You look very youthful and vibrant and regardless of your age, along with your health, it's how you think and feel that matter most. Your appearance is just a manifestation of the former three. It’s a shame that Pukka stopped making their organic castor oil. They used a dark glass bottle. Stopped making it after covid. My son uses castor oil on his hair after he washes it, totally eradicated the psoriasis after approx 2 weeks. Keeps his hair healthy. You don’t need a lot. ♥️🙏🏽

My grandma when I was little swore by castor oil. I use castor oil in my hair every other nite and when I do I just change the pillow case to an older case that i don't care if the oil gets on it. What a difference it has made on my hair. Has really slowed the hair fall that I experience. Looking forward to using on my skin!

I'm 65 and started using castor oil a few months ago. I put it all over my arms for crepey skin. I'm not sure it helps with wrinkles but I put it on my chest and neck in hopes it will start to look better there for crepeness. I definitely have much better poops though! I rub it all over my belly and I noticed an incredible difference after a few days. I wasn't always regular, now I am. I will have to try putting a little in my belly button to see if that helps with belly fat. I recently went off my hormones and I have noticed a bigger belly, ugh!

Castor oil works wonders on the scalp. When I mix my hair color, I put in a few pumps of castor oil. Keeps the chemicals from causing irritation. To cover my gray, I leave the dye on for 45 minutes with a plastic hair cap. Its like getting a spa treatment. My hair comes out of the process better.
That's a great idea! I've heard that some people's scalps are sensitive to the darker hair colors.
All these hair dyes are full of bad chemicals ,I have an app that scans products called YUKA , it’s been a gift from god for me ,I only use natural good old fashioned plant stuff like my granny used , etc etc , all these modern products are bad for us and causes cancers etc

I had the same rash under my arms. It was Native deodorant! It has baking soda in it. I changed to Lume. My rash is gone never to return..
I was able to stop using deodorant, especially in the winter. So it's not that for me.
I don’t have eczema or any problem under my arms, except am easy to sweat no matter what deodorant I used, and now I’m using castor oil, full strength, under the arm as it seems the under arm absorbs the oil very well. My sweat was never really smelly, but watching another CZcamsr, she adds tea tree oil, and that takes care of any odor.

Castor oil is NOT to be used by pregnant women - safely!! It is also NOT to be used to induce labour. Research, proven studies, to find evidence of this. Just because something ‘works’ doesn’t mean it’s healthy or the correct thing to do.
I’ve been using caster oil on my face for at least a month but I honestly don’t know if it makes a difference. I decanted it into a separate dark bottle with a pump and I take a small amount every night into my hand, rub my hands together and apply to my face. It is RIDICULOUSLY thick and I struggle to get my hands free of oil because even with a generous bit of soap and some serious scrubbing sometimes I have to apply soap twice to rid my hands of the sticky oil. I have a large supply of cotton washcloths. I put one on my pillow case at night and make sure I put my oily face on the washcloth! There is much less oil on my face the next morning and I think some of it at least is absorbed. I’ll continue to use it in hopes in makes a difference. I closing in on 86 years of age so any bit of help will be appreciated.
No way I’m going to use it elsewhere. It is too oily and I don’t want it on my sleeping garments because I’d have to change them nightly for sure.
You have to combine it with a carrier oil so that it absorbs faster and does not remain on your hands or your sheets.

If you’re going to transfer the castor oil from the bottle that you have you need to make sure that the dropper is a glass dropper, not plastic, I’ve been doing castor oil for coming up a year. I love it. I do put it on my face. I tend to add a little bit of frankincense which my frankincense is only from doTERRA. A pure clean oil I have seen lots of changes in my skin, frown lines, forehead, hands. I massage my toes every night I had when I started a real bad hammer toe and it’s not the way it was when I first started. Knee pain every night tons of changes, so thankful for this God-given natural I do agree as you said when it goes on your face, you can have yucky hair ha ha ha but a great thanks for sharing. That’s seems like a good idea with using the pump however isn’t the plastic from the pump going to leech the same as it would if the castor oil was in a plastic bottle?
That's a great question! Plastics vary widely. I learned this years ago when I found out a man I knew who worked for Amoco (later BP) worked at a lab where they did R&D creating different types of plastics for different purposes. At the time, bottled beer and bottled iced teas were always in glass. His team was working on creating a plastic that could be used to bottle beer and iced tea. (I don't know if they ever completed that project.)
Meanwhile, I own several plastic gallon containers sold at Whole Foods that are intended to be reused to hold water. (The clear plastic gallons of water and plastic bottles of water we purchase are not to be reused, although I see people refill those bottles and jugs all the time.) The WF plastic gallon jugs are made of a different type of plastic. So it's possible that the plastic tubes that are part of the pumps are made of a different type of plastic that is unlikely to leach.
I use a glass dropper and store small amounts in a dark glass bottle for daily use, refill from larger dark glass continer of full supply stored in the refrigerator.
I’ve watched a lot of castor oil videos (LOL) and this question always comes up (without a great answer BTW) - I keep thinking that if you could swap out (or buy it originally) the “straw” of the pump with a silicone straw, it would definitely lessen the impact. I haven’t seen anyone comment specifically on castor oil effects on silicone but it’s typically inert to just about anything. Otherwise, having a pump on the bottle (I’m currently using a large bottle without a pump and a small glass dropper which is a bit messy) would be nice and likely the amount of plastic material leached from the “straw” would be minimal compared to an all-plastic bottle - just my opinion, but I haven’t switched to a pump - yet!
I heard from another CZcamsr, who also doesn’t like the mess and will only use a pump, that she uses a metal straw that she replaces the plastic tube with.
I have scar tissue in the area of my knee where i fractured my leg and arthritis in my shoulders. I put castor oil when these are inflamed and it really helps the inflammation and pain.

do you know what castor oil do for your hair. I discovered this on my early 20s i used it on my hair every week before washing my hair sometimes at night then wash next day or for at least for one hour & it work my hair regrows faster & volume is amazing. 😊 try it & use a shower cap just for one hour before hair wash.

Mix your castoroil a drop..with your day or nightcream.. muuuch better. Not so oily. I use during the day as im at home all day. NOO oil on my hair again at night. Too messy. Add your conditioner to the oil and rub into your hair daily. I do it daily.
Those flakes are a type of topical dandruff and I’m going to try this!

Castor oil has been a home remedy used by African Americans for years. I still use it at 65.7 can tell you it's a staple in our community as our grandparents and parents swore it cured everything. So we never got sick and if someone did-castor oil and why my entire body is smooth. Don't forget to add a little to your bath and it is a great hair moisturizer for a hair mask. 🤷🏽♀️☺️.
I had a cysts near my tear duct. Dabbed just castor oil on it for 2 weeks. It softened and I was able to wipe it away.😮
Use castor oil packs. That way you can put them on all those areas with the exception of your face but your neck any of that and then it will be covered and you won’t have to worry about it getting in your hair or on your bedding.
