I tested my mic against a pedestal fan on full speed pointed directly at it using no windshield, a foam windshield and a deadcat windshield to see how much of a difference there really is between the three?

This is actually a wonderful way to test deadcats lol most people stand outside and wait for the wind but it's not consistent. Great test cant wait to do it on my shotgun mic

I literally found a convertible microphone that converts both for phone jack and dslr and brought it especially because I’m using it outdoor and it comes with dead cat and foam and wondering should I put dead cat over foam?

It would be a very tight fit and there's really no need as the dead cat works so well.

I’m going to book bus tour and i actually watch CZcams of other people recording their tour trip and it was windy and right then and there I ordered microphone that comes with foam and dead cat because the microphone I own are only usb so I need one that is audio jack which my new phone has
