Do you seriously think he did not know? He did not just decide to leave her. He fully intended to marry Brenda and disappear leaving the business for good. But a team of hit men had taken a hit out on Sonny. They sent a representative to tell him in detail what they were going to do to him and Brenda. He thought he had outsmarted them and he and Brenda could disappear and live safely. But the morning of the wedding, he found the marker that was the symbol of the hitmen. He found it on the coffee table in his highly guarded penthouse.It showed him that these people could find them wherever they went. Brenda would not be safe if she went with him. He knew that to keep Brenda safe, he had to make her irrelevant. He had to convince everyone, Brenda included, that he did not give a damn about her. If he left her any hope at all, he knew that she would never give up until she found him. If he gave the hitmen the slightest hint that he cared anything for her, they would not hesitate to use her to get to Sonny,probably by killing her. Yes, what he did was viciously cruel. But he did it to save her life. And it worked. The hit men never even tried for Brenda. His intentions were to make her hate him; he did not intend to drive her into a breakdown. Jax is an ass and a bully. He jumps in and starts making demands without even knowing what is happening. He does it to Jason several times.
Jax isn't an ass he's just acting on what he had to deal with or rather what he chose to deal meaning Brenda after being left at the alter by sonny boy. Her breakdown, starting over. He pretty much saved Brenda from herself. I love sonny ,but Brenda needs Jax. He nurtures her ,she's mature now. She's a woman. Jax isn't perfect but the unconditional love her has for Brenda won't put her in a mental hospital

@@melissamarie2523 Yes... I guess there's something addictive or appealing about Sonny and Jason's dangerous lifestyle, when otherwise intelligent women who should know better, like Brenda and Sam get involved with them.

I really loved the Robin & Jason love story. They were so good but I have to say that when Robin back, I did want them back together. But Kimberly & Jason Thompson hot chemistry won me over & I fell in love with Robin & Patrick #Scrubs. Happy Robin & Jason remained friends.
Thanks for posting. Do you have the port Charles episode that came on right before this? I never got to see what happened right after the cliffhanger of jake hanging from the rafters. Oh and The Lil clock in the right hand corner that popped up at around 24:40 reminded me of what my old zenith vcr did when I used to record stuff back in the day lol. 😁
