Sounds pretty cool. But it isn't panga's strong suit to make easy levels. If he were it would be interesting to see how he'd go about it though

These videos need a RL timer to see how long between attempts/PB's there was. I am curious how long he tries attempts on these. I know for this one he said 5 hours.

4:41 ummm did the counter get 51 then reversed to 50 when he hit the flag pole or am I getting old
yeah, your right. If you go frame by frame then you can see that it went to 51.000 then to 50.997
But if you wanna see a weirder one go to 27:30. It goes from .516 -> .517 -> .628 - > .629 - > .639 -> .630 -> .700
This also happends when going through Door/Pipes. 28:03: .258 -> .369 -> .300
So yeah, Nindento is strange
It does that because of how nintendo does timing. The same as in racing games where the timing system is smaller than a frame, they use the distance travelled *past* the finish line and using a neat algorithm they can determine the exact timing you actually finished. So in this case, when the timer hit the 51, he had already finished but the exact frame he was on wasnt aligned with the finish. So using the algorithm the game could determine it was actually a 50, which is what it displayed.
@@adamrino its how most racing games do their timers. The timing we use as milliseconds is shorter than a frame. So he finished when he wasnt aligned with the finish. So he was a frame passed the finish line when the game counted it, so using some neat programming the game could identify the exact millisecond he finished. Which is why it counts up until he finished, where it skips back.

Is there any videos that you'd recommend on how to learn to be like you and that teaches certain mechanics to be even better. Hey Panga, when you say you have to “claw”, what does that mean? I’ve been playing mario for a while and I’ve never heard it anywhere else!
From my understanding, when Panga speed runs, he sometimes has to change the way he holds his controller in order to do difficult sections better. It resembles a sort of claw shape with the fingers.
Clawing is when you use your index finger to press a face button while still gripping the controller in a way that lets you use your middle finger for the trigger. Most people find it uncomfortable.
Ps4 controller: thumbs on joystick, index/pointer finger on arrows and shape buttons, middle finger on front bumper/r1 L1, ring finger on triggers/r2 L2.
Xbox controller/pro controller/joycons: thumbs on joystick or arrows, index/pointer finger on letter buttons, midde finger on front bumper/rb Lb, ring finger on triggers/rt Lt.
Claw is a position for controllers where you utilize all of your fingers to have a purpose (pinky to support the controller when holding it). It allows for (in this case) softer button presses for low jumps and precise movement. It is called claw for the way it looks. It is mainly used by pros in competitive games when the extra fingers are needed but a majority dont use it due to discomfort, cramps, or pain/tiredness in your hands and fingers, it is super difficult to learn but it will give you a great advantage over others when the extra fingers are needed.

Hey Pangaea, I would honestly really enjoy two Videos per Ninji: one on the first day, and then one later down the week, when you're not first anymore and try to reclaim the Throne with new discovered Strategies. I dont't know if thats fun for you or the Stream, but I personally love watching really good players optimising strats I couldn't imagine/execute.

Every time you get into room 3 with a lower time, you say that your first two rooms were slower, even though they can't have been slower if you completed them in less time than previous attempts.
When you were in 4th, you entered room 3 on 10.733.
When you were in 2nd, you insisted it was slower, but you actually entered room 3 on 19.666, which is faster.
When you did your final run to get 1st, you entered room 3 on 19.650, which again was faster, but you seemed to think was a lot slower.
Do you mean 20.733 for the first time?
