    Nooo not Straw!!
Introducing Straw will increase your weeds, and unwanted growth. It also may introduce pesticides and other harmful chemicals that may be on the straw. Consider using bark mulch instead, staying away from cedar.

Those are mild mosquito bites compared to the pus-filled sting you showed last video. Whoever said that was your issue likely doesn't know how fire ants work. I've been stung. Your reaction to the fire ants was CLASSIC in terms of the reaction even for someone not severely allergic (and you were definitely about to experience anaphylaxis). The more it happens, the more likely it is to keep getting worse, so I hope you were able to kill those bastards.

That cut at the tip of the screws means it's what they call a self-tapping screw. So it's designed to cut the threads as it goes. To tap is to cut the threads in something so that a bolt or whatever can go in it typically in metalworking. A "Tap and Die set" ia a set of tools where the taps make the treads in a smooth hole and the die make the threads on a rod so it can become a thing that screws into the hole. I know that for me a wondered causally a long time before I understood what what "tap and die" meant. It sounds quite odd.

After moving into a spare room, I noticed there were some black ants at the corner of my ceiling. I sealed the holes and sprayed raid.
A few nights later I woke up covered in ants, all over my bed, biting my mouth and eyes. I was shocked... they bit like red ants! Absolutely disgusting.
This video is extremely cathartic and relatable because I too declared war.

I get the same reaction to mosquito bites. Once I had a mosquito bite on my hand and my whole hand swelled up. They often swell up my ankle too. However I know people who get no mosquito bites and have barely a reaction to them. It really depends on the person I think. Just take a Benadryl if they get bad!

Someone probably said this, but that tube thing is dripping from the air conditioner heater thing that is probably in your attic. My AC went out once because the tube got all froze up and it flooded the drip pan in the attic but of course there is some sensor thing that goes off and shuts the whole thing down. But ya basically that is the condensation that the ac creates.

I have an unusual reaction to mosquito bites as well, except they are as itchy as poison ivy for me as well as often swelling to the size of a nickle or quarters sometimes. Its allergies ive always been told. Like im allergic. It is treatable like any other bite from them like just use hydroquinone on it, and I've also found using an ice pack helps a lot too. Or just an ice cube.
If you get bit on the face, I have to immediately put hydrocortisone on it. Be careful to not scratch it either. With my reaction I know I get hot flashes but my face will swell. You should probably fo the same for any bites on your face.
Its not the worst kind of reaction, but really bad reactions for mosquitos.😅

I'm confirmed to be allergic to wasps, and also have an extreme reaction to mosquito and fire ants. Only difference is that for me NOTHING can stop the itching. I've tried every form of itch cream you can buy over the counter. What is worse is that my blood type or body odor attracts an abnormal amount of mosquitoes. I can sit out in the middle of the day for about 30 minutes near no water and end up with 30 bites on my ankles through compression socks.
I do now have a much stronger itch cream that is by prescription only but have yet to try it on mosquito bites as I prefer to not be bitten. Also it was prescribed to help with the itching stage of healing for a bad burn I have and not for mosquitoes specifically.

@@zebraloverbridget oh damn. Thats nuts! Glad you got an itch cream that may be even slightly helpful for it. I also have a blood type that attracts mosquitos really badly too. I grew up next to a river so it was a nightmare going outside as a kid.

@@iceviper1544 It's even worse when you add in OCD causing you to compulsively pick or scratch at your skin. I used to have to cut each mosquito bite several times in an attempt to reduce the itching when I was younger. It didn't fully get rid of it but it was enough to be bearable plus the clean cuts from a small blade healed much faster and nicer than cuts made from scratching your skin off.
I'm better at dealing with it now thankfully although i do still have to cut them open if they're in a bad spot. Like somewhere clothes or shoes will rub against and make the itching worse.

Those mosquito bites look small compared to mine. My bites are quarter sized and itch like I'm dying. If you have some ammonia, put a drop on the bite and rub it in. The itching should subside pretty quickly. (You gotta do it within a few minutes of getting bit.) That's what is in the AFTER BITE sticks you get at the pharmacy. Same ingredients but way cheaper. I'm excited to see what you will plant. Good luck!
