The thing that people mistaken about Hylos is the main item that made him op is thunderbolt which while contributed it isn't the op item that enabled Hylos. Instead it was Clock of destiny or more specifically the new elegant gem ability of healing 15% of max hp when below 50% hp which is practically just revitalize which heals 25% max hp by itself. While 15% may not seem much at first, you are forgetting that Hylos has the most HP in the game having high hp scaling from levels, extra hp from items, and 150% of extra max mana is turned into max hp. So yeah 15% max hp is a lot of hp to get from a item early to mid game.

I had an opponent Hylos few days ago. He and Helcurt was always ganking our mm Hanabi which was nightmarish. I was using Khufra and kept dying with Hanabi. I finally managed to catch them off guard and set as they were trying to going behind mm again and be sneaky and we turned the game around. But seeing this gameplay made me want to try Hylos as well.
Hylos got indirect nerfed on advance server with the clock of destiny mana cut from 800 to 400 but wishing lantern will have 400 mana and dominan ice will no longer provide mana but hp physical defense and 5% cdr and thunderbelt damage will be based on extra defense instead of total defense
Just don't pick any roamers that rely too much on teams, Mathilda and Floryn is insane on 5-man but is dogshit on solo. Though Setter tanks are less affected they are still not good. Pick roamers like Hylos, Jawhead, Chou or Helcurt. These guys can actually change the tide of the battle based on your skill. You can even kill the enemy alone if you have to, especially for Jawhead and Helcurt.

Hylos can be played as jungle roam or offlane depending on your team's needs. I've been playing this horse boi since his initial release. your worst nightmare would be heroes who can deal burst true dmg or any burst dmg that's based on your max hp. although demon hunter can be countered back with vengeance or blade armor. I usually find Lunox and Karrie to be hellish to deal with because of the hp% dmg the can deal continuously. knock backs and stun stacking is also annoying (honorable mention to Valir who would often prevent me from setting a successful initiation) but yeah if the enemy has little to no mobility horse boi can be a nightmare with how he can close the gap and just stick to you until you die

I have been playing both the game (CODm and MLBB) for quite some time and I have realised that good players do not lose as much points while losing a cod multiplayer match as compared to mobile legends. Some of the advantages will be as follows: Good performance will be rewarded more points and poor performance even if they win will result in a few points. It will motivate people to perform better. As better performance (even if the player lose) mvp player won't lose many points. It will balance out the problem caused by matchmaking. (whole another discussion) Removal of extra star or protection points. People intentionally misuse these protection points in the game. This will result in fair play.
For anyone that is having difficulty against Hylos, take this advice with a grain of salt. Lunox. Me and my team constructed a Lunox-centric team with her as the Jungler, a mobile support (Mathilda/Rafaela), and a frontline EXP (Arlott/Terizla). The lineup has to be balanced because all that Lunox can provide is consistent damage against any enemy, but she needs someone to help her survive/escape. She can take Turtle/Lord really fast, but a utility Mage and an MM will help secure the late game against a team that has Hylos. For the draft, we ban Assassins as that will be Lunox' only weakness. Take that away, she can handle Alpha and Roger anyway. Again, take this with a grain of salt, as this needs coordination with teammates to help Lunox farm and stay alive during clashes.
I would say exp YZ or terizla, they both have a better set/dmg/sustain potential than arlott, unfortunately (ex arlott main) I miss the old days of OP tank arlott.

Hylos is best for Soloing, Tig depends on teammates. Thunderbelt is a hugh help for Hylos. The longer you fight, the more stacks you gain. More defense and more damage.

When thunderbelt got revamped, I knew immediately it was for Hylos. I am a tank user, and Hylos is one of my mains. However, let me share with some counter tips where possible. If enemy picked hylos first, I would go ahead and pick lunox as mage or jungler. No mage can burst as much as lunox now. Instant bursts from Aamon, Guison are not effective towards late game. Even though Karrie seem like a good pick, I do not think she is effective against Hylos due to her short range. Instead, try Hanabi or Layla as marksmen with trinity build. If u wanna fight tank jungler with tank jungler, Barats is not enough. Go for Baxia instead. This guy tanks as hell too. I would even use Baxia as roam. For side lanes, Edith is a good pick. You may try Thamuz, Xborg, but I think Edith is pretty effective. Valir, Chang e can be good counter mages too. Give me your opinions!
I have been playing hylos for 160 games in the first weeks of the season and reached mythical glory with 71% wr and 4693 mmr with it but after a month hylos popularity rose by a lot and people very often ban him now it's kinda sad, it used to be my hidden gem
right when the new items came out I was looking for a tanky hero that could use clock of destiny and thunderbolt effectively and only found one hero which was Hylos. Literally abused this op Hylos in exp when no one knew how op this combo was. Clock of destiny is op not because of it's def over time when dealing magic damage but instead its 15% max hp heal when below 50% hp every 60 sec. to put that into perspective the revitalize battle spell heals 25% of your max hp. Thunderbelt kinda just is a damage item while acting as a high def item in late game. which isn't game breaking like elegant gem but useful.
A simple tip for those who're struggling against hylos. Pick a assasin who gives true damage. Pick mm who works with trinity and pick mage who has mobility skills.

Yea idk I use common emblem for hylos Jg or off lane. It helps a lot in early game. I’ve also come to realize that hylos with bloody against zhask is a easy win every time

what i like about being a agro tank main is even if they ban Hylos I still got my Gloo to play which has just as high WR as Hylos and just still bully their backline. If you liked playing agro hylos and zone out if not kill the enemy backline then you need to try Gloo with petrify. Using battle spell after ulting almost guaranteed a free ride on your victim.
There's a problem tho.... since in the next update both clock and dominance are getting their mana removed (reduced for clock) that's a big nerf for Hylos (I believe its 1200 mana to 400 which should be 1800 hp to 600)

Crazy fking 50+ stacks..... I reached my highest ever with esme that too 46 stacks and that was like 400+ physical defence from brute force and thunderbelt
7:58 Curse Helmet is good for Dmg but bad for pushing. With that item, even if there are alli-minions, the turrets will target the user because of its automatic dmg to the enemies in the turrets.

Last night I met hylos and was recalling constantly at us. Once I build my core item, glowing wand, Ice and Divine for lylia hylos could hardly move while chasing me, and our godly jungler fanny comes and one shot him... They surrendered in the end unable to stop us😂

Once Thunder Bel5 stact is 25 or more... it is practically impossible for anyone with Thunder Belt to die... that item's just too OP!!
you should use the hp scaling talent, it does really well with hylos as roam or jungler
I fought an opposing hylos and it took 5 hypers with shield reduction and healing reduction just to beat an hylos
Laughing in Balmond against 30%hp tanky ass heroes.. Balmond is really good at countering those high sustain tanky heroes especially Gatotkacha.
There's a problem tho.... since in the next update both clock and dominance are getting their mana removed (reduced for clock) that's a big nerf for Hylos (I believe its 1200 mana to 400 which should be 1800 hp to 600)

Crazy fking 50+ stacks..... I reached my highest ever with esme that too 46 stacks and that was like 400+ physical defence from brute force and thunderbelt
7:58 Curse Helmet is good for Dmg but bad for pushing. With that item, even if there are alli-minions, the turrets will target the user because of its automatic dmg to the enemies in the turrets.
Thats good actually. You can save your allies from Turret shot with Curse Helmet

Last night I met hylos and was recalling constantly at us. Once I build my core item, glowing wand, Ice and Divine for lylia hylos could hardly move while chasing me, and our godly jungler fanny comes and one shot him... They surrendered in the end unable to stop us😂
