Basically a while back a magazine posted an article about how Ru and his partner are using their one plot of land in order to frack, which is bad for the environment and the drinking water in the area. It was a very controversial article that had a lot of criticism shown towards Ru. Since Bob and Peppermint work for World of Wonder and even around Ru still, it would be a bad look for them to get into such a hotly contested topic that reflected poorly on the highest profile celebrity on that network. That's why it's so funny to watch Bob bring it up so casually and then see Pep freaking out, which results in the iconic laughing fit.
