  • I want to show you how to remove the Speedo/Cluster on a Toyota MR2 to change the Dashboard Lights.
(the car on the video is a 1997 RHD j-spec with an electric speedometer)
    --------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------
Ich möchte euch hier zeigen, wie man bei einem MR2 den Tacho ausbaut. Beachtet bitte, dass es sich hier um einen elektrischen Tacho handelt. Der Ausbau eines mechanischen Tachos ist etwas komplizierter :)

The helmet cam style video is a great idea, and the video add ins from the back of the cluster really help explain what's going on back there. Well done!!

I know the video is old, but thanks man. My speedo started acting up and I wanted to check out the plugs in the cluster before pulling the trans to replace the sensor. This will help me a lot since i've got a 1992 GT-S with electric speedo :)

Nice video, especially like how it was shot in FPV and the PIP stuff was useful to

Thanks this helped a lot with replacing the bulbs with LEDs... and converting the speedo back into KPH.

Brilliant video, thanks for uploading this. I've got a dodgy flashing LED on the speedo, had it since I aquired my SW20 so want to replace/reseat it.

I'm stuck at 2:54. There is not enough wire length to pull the speedo.
Edit: done! The first time it's harder because the wires are attached and you need really small hands.
Thanks a lot for the video.
