After a very warm warm-up at the new Dubai circuit in the Porsche 911 GT2 RS, we tackled a GT race around the Nurburgring GP circuit in wet weather, with crucial assists like traction control, ABS and stability control disengaged. Needless to say the Nissan GTR was quite the handful.
As one of the biggest features of Forza Motorsport 7 you'll need to get used to wrestling with the wheel during inclement weather. Managing to get to the finish line alone feels like you've completed a survival horror mini-game. Combine that with the new day and night transitions and you essentially have the most challenging conditions with which real-life racers have to contend.
Forza Motorsport 7 comes out on release date 3 October 2017 on Xbox One and Xbox One X.

All assists off on forza is the only way to play, traction and stability make the car control feel sluggish and slow. Plus maaad drifts make winning even more sweet.
Jezza Smokin Agreed, they're great for beginners but to improve you need tcs and stm off atleast, i use a wheel and only have normal steering for power steering and abs

what is the difference between simulation and normal steering?
Donk Faction simulation makes steering more realistic and normal has more arcade style feel to it best thing to to is alternate between the two in a practice race and see which one you set the faster time with

It does increase the quality of all the visuals if the screen can handle 4k so him leeching onto your comment is kind of pointless. Your are not wrong.
Siarnaq Xbox One X does scaled 4K from 1080, not true 4K.
Caleb Fleming Xbox One X does native 4K. It can also do 1440p, 1600p etc. It's up to developers how they use the power of the console. Forza 7 is native 4K 60fps on XB1X.

golly gosh the track on Hafeet is in Al Ain not Dubai, the track is imaginary mixed between Dubai HH Sheikh Zayed Road and Al Ain Hafeet Mountain, yes there is a hotel on mountain but no roller coster

Looks so much better in hdr, especially the Nurburgring track. I do believe hdr is exclusive to the X1 and won't be on pc. Bit of a shame that. Also, can't wait for the pcars 2 / fm7 comparison videos!

my issue with newer racing games is that you dont feel like youre going fast, you'll be going 80 but it feels like 30
thats my main issue aswell , i kinda hope the new Need for speed will feel more like burnout or other old racing games
RebSike That's because you're racing on a track, they're wide and make u feel like you're going slow (same case irl), but if u play FH3 for example you'll feel faster coz theres traffic and tighter roads

I used to think this too, but it's actually very realistic, in modern cars and gt cars, you can be going fast but it will feel slow, however, give more power to a 20 year old car and dont upgrade anything else, and yeah you'll feel the speed
Well, track racing is like that, it's not meant for speed, it's about how much skill you have, that's why there's many corners and complicated layouts. Street racing let's you feel speed, there's long stretches of road, so NFS is better for that.
As someone who lives in Sonoma county California I can say that we have plenty of grey days.

Looks impressive! A bit of a shame that it looks like pre-race/post-race/replays are all still 30fps. I wish it was 60 fps all of the time.
Dynamic weather in an F1 game would be great.

Forza Cars, should have a rooster tail and more spray effects. In wet weather driving.
Just for fun the oxbox and outside extra team should do a "top gear challenge" where you have 100£ and 2 days to buy a car and set the fastest time on the nurburgring nordschleife.

I don't care about graphics showcase tracks. I don't want a puddle simulator I want a race game with a decent track and car list. Forza has been going so downhill recently, I hope they fix the issues from the last 2 games

Does anyone notice how it says no assists but yet the brakes turn on so systematically in the red sections? No one touches the brake slightly for a slight millisecond three times like that, he def had the ABS on 😂

Forza STILL can't do damage modeling.
They still can't seem to nail many details. It looks eye-candy and has it own bells and whistles, but always too cartoony , imo.
Steven Chabot They can't add full damage, no game can since car companies won't allow them to simualte it. Even top notch SIMs like Iracing and Rfactor2 don't have accurate crash physics.

September is going so quick am I right. We have Destiny 2 (still waiting on mail man lol grrr hope today or tomorrow lol) to shoot things and forza 7 and project cars 2 to drive and pay homage to the car gods and racing gods( SENNA). So exited for end of September forza 7 and project cars 2 and gt sport in October.(Have both consoles so I can do my own big 3 reviews) :)
...I dislike the HUD... But I'll get used to it in 2 hours and totally forget what I complained about.
in 4K 60ish, some stuttering throughout. I doubt that the reflections are running at 60, a lot of jumping. Then there is the very flat textures, i know it's a racing game so you need to focus on the textures but at least on the car maybe you add some better textures and i don't know how to explain how the lighting doesn't look right on the cars. I also hope that mike has just not found the setting to turn deformation or destruction of the cars, because he bounces off some cars and there is no a mark. Jane also lets slip some peasantry with the 30 fps comment. all that aside, the dynamic weather is a very interesting concept. I for one look forward to having a long race with some friends and having some weather change up the track, as long as the HUD has the option to not jiggle.

From what i can gather with frame rates is that while humans only work at like 30ish something frames, it's not in synchronization with everything so we might have a frame of our recognition landing on a seemingly still frame in the 30fps video game.
While something at 60fps has fewer openings for this missed synchronization to occur.
Similarly if you film a spinning fan on camera, it will appear slower than in reality, due to the timing of the fan's set motion being seen at a relatively fragmented frame-rate
