Thanks for posting this video. As a nurse I have witnessed the benefits of cpm machines and my patients were glad they had them.

Love this machine, I have two totals I feel this was huge part of my recovery.
It has reduced my pain and when my knee was stiff it help to relax my knee.
I used one for an ACL tear. It was amazing. The swelling went down...the motion kept my pain down and I used it for two weeks... dont think I could have survived without it!
I wish I had found this 2 weeks ago. The medical rental company simply delivered the CPM with no instructions! We muddled through, but I'm sure the next 7 days will be must better! PS I'm sure the pad kit was previously used. Thanks a million for the video.
Thank you for an excellent instructional video. I'm a nurse about to have a TKR and have also been manager of a durable medical goods company that rented CPM machines. I have heard mixed reviews of the use of CPM but after a difficult recovery from a TKR on my other knee with poor results I am determined to have this CPM machine to use both in the hospital and at home during recovery.
This may seem like a negative review but all I am looking for is suggestions and similar experiences.
I had an ACL reconstruction surgery TODAY and have been instructed to use the CPM machine on 10-40 setting today and gradually increase the flexion each day. However, flexing with the dressing ON, I feel excruciating pain in my patella. I have checked the femur and tibia length as mentioned in the video. My knee was in a comfortable elevated position before. Now, even with narcotics in my system, I feel like being tortured. What do I do?
I'm using it after artrotomy and carticel implantation. I'm very happy and the machine works!

currently using one for bilateral knee replacement. my right knee loves it. the left... hurts like hell. can't figure it out. but the instructions I was given is different than what hospital and rental company told me. Trying some different ideas right now.
6 weeks ago I had both knees replaced and the right knee is near perfect with no pain in but the left knee is still swollen and painful and the bending hasnt dont well so Im thinking this type of machine has to help with the long term bending.
Now to find where I can buy or hire this type of knee machine in Australia. Thanks gor showing us how to setup and use this amazing machine e.

I live in Nigeria and did not know about the machine until recently. I had a total knee replacement over 4 years ago in 2015 because of a gunshot injury inflicted by bandits. The knee has been ramrod straight and stiff ever since. I recently ordered the machine online as a last resort and it was shipped to me here in Nigeria. My question is: will it help me in getting some of the flexion back into my knee?

Thank you for this tutorial it was spot on..I'm a RN and used a CPM used ago. I I was glad my doctor uses one. I just never thought I would be on the the other end.
I have done an operation for my knee exactly my ligaments and now i have to use this machine im scared for the fist time so can you please tell me does it hurt ? Its been 8 weeks i haven't moved my knee

The starting range of motion settings will be given by your surgeon. After that, it is determined by how your knee is healing. You want to set the range of motion to where your joint feels a good stretch. No pain, just a stretch or some tension in the joint.

I wish the x 10 machine was available in Minnesota i have surgery again on my right knee i had a partial knee replacement surgery on May 3 2021.i have scare tissue so i will be coming home with the CPM machine again to
@@margieholmack7074 I wish Medicare would cover this as a treatment option. They consider it an exercise equipment and will not cover it. At 82 I had my left knee replaced. Rehab gets tougher as you age. 84 coming up soon and my right knee needs replacing. Not looking forward to 3 months of pain from regular rehab. Actually dreading the whole issue.
@@stevefarris9433 I know right i am looking forward to have surgery again on my right knee either. I am 56 and i had a partial knee replacement surgery on May 3 2021. And when i heal from the right knee then she doing the left the knee. I have scare tissue which happen sometimes after surgery to.

@@bingbalu Do true if the knee is stiff it hard to walk. I have scare tissue having surgery again on my right knee i had a partial knee replacement on May 3 2021 to i have no range if motion it wont straighten out and bend inly at 88 to
