Muse is one of the few bands that give the Bass the presence it deserves
erickr199 Chris is one of the few bassists that give the band the presence it deserves as well.
+Andre Antunes well, thats also true ;)
Rise Against Is Also Another Good Example . Really Great Band .
Maybe in Rock, yeah.
A lot of metal bands have great bass players that get a lot of presence.
Rush is also one of those bands
i love how your hair matches your bass hahaha
that is why muse is so sexy. perfect vocals with very good bass lines and guitars
You mean good music? Yeah it's awesome! :D
Railly Smith they're awesome as well
Isn't psycho dominated by the riff?
Alvs Notes have you signed the rareities tour petition?

My spouse holding our firstborn child: Isn't he the most amazing thing you've ever seen?
Me: *thinks of this video* He's definitely amazing
Haha dont they have a song called new born
@@clivehandforth3531 Yes
New born pluged in baby.
The resistance bassline is so beautiful
dark shines's bassline is so goddamn addicting.
Can you imagine being able to tell someone "Yeah I can play every song Muse has ever released"
Amazing tone, amazing video. Props to you man.
Avery Bradley I'd put it on my damn resume lmao
I can lmao
I am far too dedicated
This is on my bucket list!!!!!
I actually can do that, they're bassline are great but not so complicated as they can seem
Their*
Muse honestly has the most dedicated fan base in rock. Sometimes, it gets so obsessive that it becomes cringeworthy , but I'm part of that group. I love it.
The Muse is to rock as Slipknot's fan base is to metal. Those guys are ridiculous
you consider yourself part of that group but you also wrote "the muse"...
@@johanna3615 LOL
You mean fan BASS? (Insert lenny face)
Yes muse turns me on. Yes
Wolstenbob itâs likely he isnât a native speaker and comes from a language that is common to put articles like this in the beginning of the phrase. Portuguese is one of those languages, for example
there is no bad bassline by muse :D
No there are not
jaqb17 have you signed the rareities tour petition?
yes
Isaac Miller where can I sign?
except maybe blackout which has no bass part (technically)
Every single one is so damn good, but there's something about Hyper Music that gives me goosebumps!
RBRTZH have you signed the rareities tour petition?
RBRTZH I love listening to hyper music and then hyper chondriac music, they are the same songs and yet completely different
oooh same, would be interesting to hear that transistion live, not gonna happen but still..
RBRTZH I thought the same about their old songs like muscle museum and then they played it 8 years after the last live performance, so maybe someday!
Chondriac is even more goosebumping :D
If chris ever breaks his arm again, ready made stand in. Brilliant work mate
Not with that silly bass and hair style he won't
Chris literally had this hairstyle for a lot of the Showbiz era...
Kim Runic silly bass? This bass is really professional!
giorgioskb actually go into any of their old videos or interviews or anything and yep, they all look pretty bad, that was the fashion of those times xD but I loved Matt's blue and red hair!
Wayne Lynch but they already have Morgan as a back up
Thanks for the kind comments! Before you start freaking out, I did not include the song "Soaked" because It was not officially released or played live.
Which is a damn shame! because their version of it is badass
Andre Antunes it sucks that they decided to sell the song off before ever releasing it. It's such a great song with a nice bass sound. Would've loved for it to be in the video.
Andre Antunes please tell me the name of your beautiful bass guitars! please
Andre Antunes Hey, man, just watched your guitar video. This is amazing stuff and will be my means of relaxation from now on. Thank you so much for making these, they're incredible, and inspiring! đ
what about new kind of kick aye
I am a MUSE fan, when I saw your Muse guitar discography I decided to buy my first guitar! Amazing content, keep the good work! :D
Strong Lion have you signed the rareities tour petition?
Jon Yep, but then poverty comes XD đ
When the Muse community is so large that people have the same avatar lol
my friend just bought a bass and he just started getting into Muse too.... coincidence?
I am a TRUE Muser because I now live next to the town they grew up in
I love how all of Muse's basslines seem to perfectly flow into one another. That's how you can tell that Muse is an extremely good band.
The Great Sloth Lord yep
videos like this really show how much variety muse has in in their music and how much of an absolute BEAST chris is. amazing fucking job, dude.
loadescape have you signed the rareities tour petition
Isaac Miller yes i have đ
Muse have one of the best discographies ever imo. Every song is worthy
Every Muse song is so gorgeous
When the doctor says you only have 17 minutes to live
Lmao
LMFAO
wow you're so fucking original.........
Isabelle Schniermanni ...you play all the best songs of your life simultaneously.
Watch this and angrily jerk tf off
I think wolstenholm as well as Howard and Bellamy really make this band. Oh wait...
^^
Fun fact:
Muse's bass player used to be a drummer in his old band...
Really??
@@volvoxliam327 yes, when he was very young. They started to play together when they were 15 I think
Dom Howard or Dominic James Howard. Fun fact: as well Dom Howard and Matt Bellamy have the same middle name
@@luketube7207 Muse's bassist is Chris, Dom is their drummer.
It's the story of so many bassists that they start a band with friends, and they either can't play anything, so they learn bass, or the band needs a bass and they happen to be the ones not to mind as long as the band happens. Pretty impressive how many amazing musicians are born that way.

i think itâs such an underrated song
Every Muse Song on Drums, just wait for it ;)
TheCool Headphones Man, I don't play the drums properly, but I f**kin swear I'll learn. that video will happen someday :)
The drums on Muse's songs are not that interesting honestly.
akulahirpada1993 some songs have quite interesting drumming like Stockholm syndrome and Assassin.
Keywords here is "some songs". I'm a long time Muse fan, but I have to say that aside from a few songs the drumming has been average for most part.
Andre Antunes Wow man, that's amazing, you should try piano too, such a beautiful instrumentđčâ€
Just keep rocking bro! lml
This video just makes you realise how many amazing songs are not on one of their albums
Ultimate_Bliss The Groove is amazing.
Some of the outtakes and B-sides are so awesome that it's almost unbelievable they didn't make it onto an album.
Ultimate_Bliss Drones is pretty ass for the most part
CStubbsSubs whats wrong with drones?
Nathan Chesshir a lot. It's watered down, overproduced and all around just stale. The songs are bearable, sometimes even pretty good, but in general, the album is one of Muse's worst. It was the only album that didn't take their music in a new direction
I swear, bas guitar is the sexiest thing ever
B A S
What about saxophones?
thats a B A S S
hysteria might be the best bassline ever written
Love it, but... YYZ ?
Sysmetryx Gosu Orr the trees. Orrrrrr 2112. Orrrrrrrrrrrr 04 by gojira. Orrrrrrrrrrrrrrrr metropolis by dream theater...... or panic attack by dream theater........ gosh, all of these songs have such awesome bass lines.
My favorite is the bass line to cant buy me love. That is an amazing bass line
James Netherian By Muse yes, but I think Cliff Burton has several things to say about that.
Futurism is probably my favourite bassline.
Thank you SO MUCH for doing the b-sides aswell. Great and amazing video!
But you missed the groove :(
15:44.
Oh sorry mate, my bad. Thanks!
Np. It's all good.
The bass is such a massive part of Muse's sound. It's NEVER an after thought or something just tagged on. It's woven within the very fabric of the songs. Without these bass lines they would be SUPER lacking or flat out broken. That's not the same for most bands. Most bands you can hear their tracks without bass and yes it often makes their songs feel shallow and weak but it usually doesn't fundamentally change or break them. Matt is clearly the vision for this band but without Dom or Chris you'd be losing an even 1/3 of what makes Muse's iconic sound. Also, hearing their musical evolution like this make me appreciate their later albums more than I was aware. All of their albums are very very good.
Bands' melodies most recognizable are on guitar... and then there's Muse :)
Awesome video! Those b-sides, even the obscurest like the Hidden Track or Prague or Execution Commentary... my inner Muser is so happy.
THAT TONE!!! HOW??
SnorkFrk expensive bass and great playing :)
i used to rave about Matt cause he was who taught myself guitar from, but i love bass now and Chris is just the equal in skill imo. Awesome bassist
I started laughing so bad when you were head banging to Blackout
you dont have to be so structured.... is just about feeling the music
Cristobal dz you don't have to be so uptight, it's about laughing at things that make you laugh
So funny.
yeahhhhh
he's 'counting' according to the beat actually, to guess the next beat, vibing to it
muse for life
syd have you signed the rareities tour petition?
Isaac Miller The what?
syd holy shit where can I sign
The bass on every Absolution track is so sick, even if you exclude Hysteria.
Every time I hear the slap, pop, and strummed chords in Panic Station I love it even more
Que alegrĂa que fans de Muse hagan contenido tan bueno.
Cave and Uno are so underrated. This is my favourite song of theirs. Amazing video btw.
Awesome Pigeon Cave is also one of my favorites!
damn ive heard all the regular muse songs but theres still some b-side titles ive never even seen
that its a great feeling, i remember it and sometimes think about all that songs that they through out
and they never saw the light u.u
blank blank dude I remember when I discovered their b-sides... It was amazing. Check em out, they're all so good
blank blank It opens your world. Gives you a whole new makeshift album to listen to.
Same never heard of nische
Aaaaaaaa brooo, i just started playing bass and i was thinking on giving up, now i just want to take my bass and play the shit out of it. Muse is one of my favorite bands and this was one of the most completely awesome/satisfying videos i've ever seen, this needs to get to more people, you are a beast.
Re-upload with Simulation Theory! đ
for some reason i am in love with showbiz again, such an underrated album imo
zer0 95 how exactly is it underrated
It really is
@@makonyr Most people think Origin of Symmetry, Absolution, and The Resistance are their best albums (which they are imo), but Showbiz is often underlooked
@@jacobteague635 Best albums to me are Absolution, Origin of Symmetry, Showbiz. Then Blackholes and Revelation. If I tell you the truth. It started to go downhill after that. Even when BHAR was released, since they peaked at Absolution. And sadly after you peak there is only one way you can go.
@@Atlas65 Facts, everyone peaks at some point though. Muse is still amazing though, they always will be

Chris Wolstenholme deserves to be in the title! He's a great bass player!
The transition from Hysteria to Blackout is perfect.
you should do a similar thing with the red hot chili peppers discography
Can't wait for Liquid State, Can't wait for Liquid State, OH HERE IT COMES !!!
Hell yea liquid state is awesome
This video just made my Sunday. Muse is why I learn bass. What prolific catalogue of awesome music. Thanks man.
The dedication to pay attention to Muse basslines since Showbiz to Drones album, including B-sides/bonus tracks.... No one will do the same video on this internet. Respect to this man! I hope Muse or Christopher Wolstenholme see this.
Putting psycho as the last album song instead of after dead inside worked perfectly. Good job man :)
That was amusing
Morenotedebotemalotecipote I see what you did there..lol
Love the bass line for The Groove, nice one for including B Sides, great playing! :)
Madness on a normal bass just isn't right
Damn you did the b-sides to... Major props. That made me so happy, like seriously. It's been so long since I've listened to muse, tons of memories are coming back. Well done man
Theyâre all amazing but Animals is just... probably one of my favorite Muse songs and the bass line is so good
Just a good reason to listen to all the Musens songs again! Thank you! đžđ
They are all so beautiful, muse is beautiful
The Globalist is a highly underrated song with a killer bass line, IMHO.
Personal favorite song of muse
Love that bass on Undisclosed Desires!!!
I always forget Popcorn exists and then when I hear it again it's gotta be one of my all time favorites. It's just so silly and catchy.

It's insane how beautiful Muse's composition is and this guy did a great job of reminding us
Matts voice is heaven đâ€
This is Amazing!!!! One of the main reasons I love Muse's work is because of the bassline
Dudes fret board needs a clean

You did an amazing job on this! Great memorization, and transitions/editing! You crushed this!
That's a unique bass, but I suppose it's fitting for a talented player

that defectors bass line is ever so beautiful
Kenny G not playing his saxophone anymore

Amo showbiz de manera descontrolada, todas sus canciones me gustan, se siente el inicio de algo mucho mĂĄs grande
man i love muse

Perfeito André.
Faz muito tempo que acompanho seu canal e curiosamente nunca tinha visto esse vĂdeo. Na espera dos dois Ășltimos ĂĄlbuns lançados
you're amazing, dude. The escense of Muse it's the bass itself and you knew how to nail it!
Amazing.
you didn't give the handler the glory it deserves :( otherwise, really f***ing nice
I love how there is actually EVERY muse song hahahaha this is sick. Talent. Props!
How the hell did I not find this video earlier? I love the discography on guitar you did and this really takes the cake adding every B-side

That is fuckin Bible... Thank you so much!
Muse bass placed there, at the top of my ear paradise.
Awesome bass playing! Love Muse and love this đ
To be honest I always thought that _Origin of Symmetry_ was their debut, but this was freaking awesome dude. I'm a big Muse fan and love both Matt Bellamy and Chris Wolstenholme's work, _Hysteria_ and _Panic Station_ were the first two Muse bass lines I ever learned. Awesome work as usual dude, keep it up, also general question but does anyone know what kind of bass that is?
Idk why i just find it funny that you thought OOS was their debut even though you're a huge Muse fan. I'm not trying to hate...because Muse is my favorite band and I didn't know Hullabaloo even existed until three years of listening to them. XD
I see what you mean. I'm just saying that _Origin_ was the first album I ever heard from them and I always thought they started in the 2000s, plus I had actually hadn't heard of _Showbiz_ when I was getting into them
Andrew Pappas oh I see, that makes sense
That's the main reason, yeah
Andrew Pappas one of my fav Muse songs is Muscle Museum
You have to combine this with your other video and play them side to side. It would be amazing!!
Jan Bellamy That's a good ideia, srsly. But the most iconic guitar parts don't always match with the most iconic basslines. I may however make bass & guitar full covers of the same songs. And perhaps vocals. Don't expect much though, Matt is a fkn good singer. I just enjoy singing :)
