I can’t put into words how much this project has meant to me.
ABZÛ is a devastatingly beautiful game with an equally devastatingly beautiful score, and one that transformed how I thought about color in music. The moment I heard this piece, I knew it was perfect for VVGO to do on the backbone of musicians we had. I edited it slightly with a few tempo changes to help interpretation, and I wrote a short end card based on the main theme, it got recorded, and… well, here we are. This beauty.
And this project this has been over a year in the making, a very difficult year for me, and will represent as a capstone to it, a jumping off point that I can move forward from. Every step working on this has been a joyous and unforgettable experience. To all the singers, instrumentalists, the VVGO leadership, my teachers, thank you all so much for making this dream a reality.

Amazing work! I always held Abzû's soundtrack as one of my favorite video game music albums and you managed to evoke the feelings I had when I first played the game. I hope this gets more views and attention!

When we worked with composer Maclaine Diemer on "Aurene" (our other choral track), he mentioned something profound that has stuck with us: nothing evokes the feelings of playing a game much like the soundtrack. Because of the active nature of playing video games, we believe that video game music has the power to touch people more deeply than passive media such as film and television. We're humbled to know that our efforts to bring musicians together during tumultuous times in the world are touching people in the same way Mr. Diemer described. We hope to keep delivering the same feelings in the future!
