You can actually use Enter by holding the Fn button on the bottom right, and press the round Esc button. I managed to figure this out simply from looking at the product photos.
As a [former] steam controller user [because it is kinda broken right now...], i think that this is a pretty dope product.
I am so sorry for your steam controller loss. I remember getting mine with civ 6. I still use it to this day.
@@rrteppo till this day I regret not getting more than one Steam Controller as it's impossible to get a Steam Controller without forking a lot of money to get it.
@@hammerfall6666 I didn't realize they stopped making them until they got expensive
I have both. To me, there's no comparison. The Steam Controller is superior in every way. It (obviously) has Steam support, making it inherently useful. The IFYOO is merely a curiosity, which doesn't bear out in actually using it. Plus, it's expensive.
@@JimHamiltonIII Its available as a Darkwalker Shotpad which I've seen for €15 instead of €50 but they were sold out when I went to purchase it.
“Obviously this doesn’t have an Enter key”. What…? Why would they not have that as part of the design…?
Fn then enter
Because you don’t use enter when gaming. I can see why they left it out since most PC games say “press any button to start” but it is a bit of an oversight
A lot of people don't seem to understand this is not for PC people this is for console gamers to gain a competitive edge 😂
Yes it has Fn Esc
@@skiffy9833 yes and I don’t understand why isn’t their a lot of models like this😊
this actually looks amazing as an alternative to the steam controller for those planning to play strategy games or keyboard rpgs on the couch, if it had controls remapping
Just read my mind
You can remap keys in the options of every PC game
Just spent 180 for a new steam controller and saw this today for 50 bucks like WTF
@@kelinjohnson7421 stonks
I'm pretty sure it's meant for mobile FPS gamers who can use touchscreen to aim
Adding a gyro to the controller maybe make this become easier
Any modern controller without gyro is a crime. (Points finger judgingly at Microsoft)
@@aboveaveragebayleaf9216Pretty laughable that a $150 controller in 2023 doesn’t have gyro. Worst part is Microsoft fanboys defend it and say the controller doesn’t need “gimmicks” while probably being unable to get kills in a single shooter without heavy aim assist
@@aboveaveragebayleaf9216 ArmorX pro
It has Gyro, and it has the enter key, this guy is just super bad at showing off products, looks about as dumb as he is lmao.
Now there is a wireless version with gyroscope.
The idea is more than wonderful, but it needs not to change the location of some buttons. I loved it. I've been thinking of something like it for a very long time. 😍😍
The concept is amazing, but the execution gives more to desire (design and feature wise)
well at least it's not made for tiny 13 year old hands like the series controller, that shit is hella stupid.

As a former mobile gamer, i can tell that this thing is for me
To press enter you have to press the fn button on the right side which is in yellow and then press the escape button that will make it an enter. It has an extra set off functions if you press the fn button which is under the x key on the right side.
Why not just ad another button for enter?
Can I use this controler in windows mode ..or does it used only when games?
I certainly won’t use it but still it’s worth trying
this might be good for real time strategy games and stuff like this
Been using this controller as a daily driver for most games and even a mouse. Worth the money. Hopefully theyll make a second one.
I see this controller is perfect for mobile gamers when they want to move from mobile to console and pc
Because the touchpad gonna be very good option because as a mobile gamer i have 💩 control aiming with my controller or mouse on cod because I’m so used to playing cod mobile on my phone
it's easier to aim rather then being used to aiming, joysticks are mainly for third person platformers, they just got adopted for fps
Will this work on android phone? With a keymapper app?
I use the Xbox Series X Co-Pilot feature to use multiple controllers at the same time. This gets me out of a pinch when I can't figure out the right button. P.S. Don't forget! The large yellow button functions as the [enter] key when you hold the function [Fn] key on the right side of the touch pad. Also, you can click the touchpad. My next project [just got this today] is to test it out on reWASD on PC! This is great for games like Ghost Recon Breakpoint, which doesn't allow you to use multiple input devices at the same time. I bought 5 of these and one of them will remain unopened. If this works with reWASD, between this and my AZERON, I'll probably pass out frequently while playing a video game just out of sheer joy...
Can you explain co-pilot?
@@solodolo6291 Hi! Microsoft controllers, initially for accessibility, allows two separate controllers to be used at the same time. My boy and I can play the same game together. Sometimes he asks for help. Or, in a flight sim, I can use a joystick to fly and a controller for menus and such. Don’t be spreading my secret, but I’ve hot-wired my brain to use two controllers to play FPS games. Elite controller in right hand, regular in left. I went down this path (accessibility features) due to an injury that impeded my performance in-game.
Goto my games & apps>apps>Xbox accessories. Select any controller, press the ellipses (…), select turn on Copilot. This helped with all of the circulation issues I was having with my hand.
Good luck!
@@CavalierNSN thanks for taking the time to reply much appreciated
@@solodolo6291 Anytime friend! It's all about the game(s). That co-pilot feature is hot fire, and I can't (now) play without it. Good luck!
have you tried remapping the controller with reWASD? i'm thinking of buying this too for casual sim, city building, base building kind of game.
Intriguing controller design, If this is something that we need we might see a controller redesign form factor happening.
I am shit at almost all shooter games like CSGO, Fortnite or PUBG, but for some reason I am really good at the new COD. Him saying „It’s like having hacks on“ felt relatable
There’s A Reason For That.. Most Sorry Players Do Good In The COD Lol Because It’s Set Up For People That Can’t Play.. Lmao..
@@ICHIMANExTKND could be
It's really good better that what I expected. I manly use it for older PC game that don't have proper gamepad suport.
You can also use Joy2Key for mapping keyboard inputs to a controller. I'm using it to play old DOS games on my Steam Deck and now the GPD Win 2. The latter also having a mouse sensor (might work even better than the SD touch pads, but still can't compare to a proper mouse and its location is worse than the SD touchpads) plus a physical keyboard opens even more possibilities.
This controller in the video might be nice to play PC games on the couch, but I would need a different tool (don't think Joy2Key works with mapping to something that is recognised as keyboard and mouse instead of as a controller) to be able to remap keys for older games that don't offer key remapping. If only the D-Pad would be a good one and not this bad PSX style 4 buttons in cross shape. But I got one of this lap "tables" to use a keyboard an mouse on and it works quite well. Played Star Trek Voyager Elite Force with it on our 4K TV. :D
But I'm a fan of unusual controller devices, as long as they don't use gimmicky motion controls or replace physical buttons and D-Pads + Sticks with touch controls for no logical reason.
This is what the steam controller did, but people didn't understand it widely till years later. It's so good.
The lack of a right trigger is a deal breaker for me. Amazing concept, though!
yeah true ,i feel this is pretty hard to get used to it,but the best bet is to try it
I am wondering if in the future we see a spherical controller. This means the two joysticks with be 2 pads and the triggers may be planted . 😮
So you will carry a ball with a diameter 10-12 cm.
I think there was microsoft product kinda like that. Linus covered it at some point. Although it was marketed for kids 😂
Can't wait to hear the bots say 'this is CHEATING because you're not using an analog' LMAO.
Thx for the info Ben Rowlands
I really want a Bluetooth version of this though!
There's a wireless version now on Amazon. I'm eager to get one one day.
It not having an answer key is the funniest thing 😂 That's one of the most commonly used keys. So much for a couch solution
I just received that controller 2 days ago, im liking it, the trackpad is extremely accurate and sensitive. It feels a lil cheap but i think this is going to gain popularity soon
There's some classic PC games on GOG that require mouse and keyboard. This seems like the perfect controller for that
Wish it came with wireless
They made a wireless one, I hope they add more colors though.
@@sapphicpropaganda really?
This looks amazing for people coming from mobile fps games. I can't wait to have mine.
Aiming with joystick is so hard for me I died coz of that ..this controller will be very usefull for me
This controller would be perfect for Kid Icarus Uprising.
For those saying this is a good alternative to the steam controller... lolno.
From people who have used it, I've heard that the ShotPad:
- has a low quality trackpad
- has no gyro
- emulates kbm only; the stick is 8 way wasd, not an actual analog movement stick
- no binding customization
Its always funny to see companies/individuals see the steam controller, think its cool, try to make an alternative, but they completely miss the mark on why the steam controller is cool to begin with so their alternative product is really lackluster.
The only upside to the ShotPad is that you can use it consoles... but only on games that support kbm on consoles, which isnt all of them.
Everything you said is completely obvious if you understand then this isn't a controller, It's a keyboard and mouse
Nice content dude, subscribed 😎
The ability to click left and right with the touchpad probably wins
Nice video!
this needs a wireless version with a phone mount attachment. for mobile shooters where half the screen is blocked by the thumbs
Have been waiting for these controllers. For those who are used to playing with mobile phones
I loved this
It’s even weirder than the steam controller
U mean better
@@RAZ5R no, it's like playing on phone with no aim assist against pc players
@@youravghuman5231 I got it
@@youravghuman5231And a crappy touch pad. For some reason, it has a deadzone. It won't pick up movement below a certain speed.
The steam controller is awesome. People just didn't know how to utilize it till years later. No one even utilized/knew about the gyroscope except a handful of people. Gyro is better overall for precision aiming anyway.
This is pretty cool- and since I already own a Xim apex: if I got this I could remap all those garbage presets to make the thing waaaaaay more intuitive. :)
I think you mean to say nobody is using it... Cause yeah ... Neat idea... A collectors item for sure...
this might be the gamechanger in gaming. DOPE!
Aside from the trackpad you could do this with literally any controller ever
Something I was sad about discovering with the Steam controller is that when using it ingame as a _controller_ the track pad worked _almost_ like a mouse. (Unlike when using the controller as a _keyboard_ which made the touch pad work as expected.
But when using it as a controller, you could mess with the steam settings to make the track pad have mouse-like movements, but ultimately it was still limited by the game's parameters for movement scaling on a thumb stick. Meaning, the motions between slow to fast were too narrow and limited. It sort of felt like a deadzone where dragging your thumb really slowly or slightly slowly resulted in the same ingame turn speed.
It makes sense, since your using a touch pad within the limits of a thumb stick. (Again, only when you set steam to recognize the steam controller as a _console controller_ ) But its still sad. I was hoping I'd be able to use the steam controller to get Halo's aim assist buffs on a track pad. XD
More to the point of this vid, I feel like this DarkWalker Shotpad controller would result in more or less the same issue if you tried to get the game to recognize it as a controller and not a keyboard.
Dude, the key to the steam controller is the gyroscope. Use the trackpad at high sensitivity for larger looking around movements, but do most of your actual aim with the gyroscope. You can even have two different gyro sensitivities if you use trigger dampening. For example, I use a pretty high base gyro sensitivity, then right trigger soft pull dampens it 50%, one allows for close range response, and the other allows for long range precision. Then the full pull is bound to fire. You can configure this how it works best for you, but don't sleep on the gyro. It's probably the best controller input option for shooters. We shouldn't want aim assist, we should want good inputs.
Your first issue is that you’re using the trackpad for aiming. It’s meant for quick swiping if you need to change directions quickly. If you’ve ever played Kid Icarus Uprising on the 3DS it’s sorta like that where you swipe quickly across the screen to move the camera. What you should be aiming with is gyro, like Splatoon or Doom on Switch.
The other thing is, this should be recognized as a keyboard+mouse by pretty much any software. As such, I can’t imagine a situation like the one you’re describing. The CoD example he showed seemed just unlucky
and that was still pretty old tech, trackpads have gotten extremely advanced and what valve can do with it would be a sight to see, as long as they don't make them tiny like the idiotic series controller dimensions
I guess you don't know much about anything if you're talking about trying to use a trackpad for better control and also talking about aim assist. The whole reason to aim assist exists is because controllers are not accurate compared to a trackpad or mouse. Having aim assist on while using the trackpad will just mess up your control
It looks like something you'd choose if you're going from mobile to console
I wonder if it actually works with a gamepad to mouse and keyboard adapters/hub for Series X, S, etc , so you can play any game on console with it .
This is more for Android and Apple gamers to easily enter the pc and console space without having to use mlk and a traditional controller its smart
The enter/return key is the escape button while holding the fn or function key on the back
May you do a review on XReal AR glasses? Really looking for your honest opinion.
This is the most bizarre controller ive ever seen
Is it me, or this looks like a well done version of the Atari Jaguars's gamepad ?
Here's me, waiting for a wireless version with remapping

Can this controler be used in windows mode or it only can work when playing games
where can i find one similar to this for my ipad ?
😂 "EVERYBODY"
Does it work on mobile devices? connected via OTG with adapter?
If it were wireless, I'd get it IMMEDIATELY for my living room PC console experience.
2:34 This is a good case to just having a keyboard with a controller in its chassis IMO
Is this read as a controler or kbm I wanna get it and try it on overwatch will it work or does the game need to have keyboard support
Playing fps on gamepad and doing it better than me on kb and mouse always amazes me, but that controller might be easier do adopt
pretty interesting !
This is something I’m def interested in
It's pretty nice
Hope Openjkdf2 controls good with this
(Jedi knight dark forces 2)
I like the the left part of that controller. I would just use a normal gaming mouse for the Right side.
If you ever played the black shark or red magic you know what this feels like.
It doesn’t feel like either of those phones
Yeah this controller would be nonexistent trying this out for war-thunder
It’s kinda like the steam deck because of the track pad

Thank you man for providing this classy and wonderful content
how is the responsiveness on touch pad compared to gaming mobile screen?!
i loved this
Wish it had Bluetooth, as I wouldn’t mind to giving it a try in my asus ally.
Since my experience with the Steam Deck (I didn't have the Steam Controller and just bought one recently), I'm always enthusiastic about new gamepad paradigms.
But a *wired* controller (instead of wireless + USB cable) and no gyroscope? Nah, maybe next time.
EDIT: I saw another version of this gamepad that has gyroscope and is wireless. Now we're talking.
why would they put the left click on the left shoulder button???
Hmm.. Why cant the 2 mouse keys be swapped (remapped) so that the trigger is on the right? Seems like a great controller if that was possible.
It is possible. In fact every single game he played had options available to remap the controls, he just never bothered to do so.
@@micah4539 the left mouse key in this gamepad is analog and right one is digital so it doesn't make sense to remap them.
@@azhanhehehwhat? No

You don't need/want analog triggers for shooters.
That is an amazing controller if u play alot on iPhone
I just wish I could use a steam controller on every console with gyro
Has anyone used this with a docked Steam Deck? Maybe the wireless version would be useful for games that would normally require M+K like RTS games or if you can get used to the wonky FPS controls. Plus, the Steam Deck has remapping in-built regardless of game. I'm using a Chinese knock-off PS4 controller currently but I'd be down to try it if it didn't cost $60 for the wireless version.
I would not know how to play with this thing lol.

this interisting for me because iam mobile player and want to using conttroller like playing in mobile
The fact shoot button is at the opposite side makes me think this is not even visionary its just gimmicky.
Without gyro in a controller like this just seems like a slight mis especially for consoles.
dude, your accents sounds like chinese or singapore accent. i love it
Your eyes they gonna come out 😮
The main reason for this in my opinion is playing pc games that aren't designed for using a controller
This seems neat but I wouldn’t personally use it in any kind of “competitive” environment. I also don’t game competitively often so maybe someone who owns this and plays more competitively can chime in
I play a lot of mobile games and this is exactly what i want for my console.
But will it get me to silver in overwatch is the question 😂
Are you in your recording studio?
Mobile gamers will love this controller for sure. It's literally bringing mobile fps controls to PC (but you get physical buttons and left analog).
Which in my opinion is way better for aiming than a regular controller (worse than kb&m obvi).
I've always wondered why no one replaced right analog stick for a touchpad yet.
I think it was about time someone did this, but it needs improvement for sure. This also needs to become a standard for consoles imo. This is the next step for console controllers that should've happened years ago.
How is it bringing mobile to PC? It's making PC more like controller
Yepp
I wonder if it would work on the switch...
I wonder how playing World of Warcraft would go on one of these, instead of the ConsolePort add-on + Xbox controller.
Bigger pad than what us steam controllers use.
Are there any switch alternatives?
I’m for sure getting this controller when I get my gaming laptop cause I’m trash with mouse and keyboard. I really think this will help me in Ground Branch, Insurgency Sandstorm
Try messing with your sensitivity on m&kb. Half of the time people start out with too high of a sensitivity.
