  • In this episode, we discuss the historical effects and class implications of the #COVID-19/coronavirus saga, where the Black church and politics intersect and how changes in belief systems and ideologies appear to have fractured a semblance of unity in the institution, and the shift in leadership in the Black community. We also question what happened with Black Lives Matter, discuss the struggle for voting rights for segments of the population, whether we will ever “fit in,” the duality of Blackness, ignorance of identity, and why the ancestral stories matter for younger generations. Our special guest is Jenjii Hysten, chief executive officer of Blaze Consulting.

But is it our real religion since it was a forced religion? A system of power over people. Or we follow and believe the way because we were made via generations to accept it. It has become a way of life.

I have to get away from my people for extended periods of time because relaying info and trying to bring folks along is emotionally draining and disappointing. I don't understand why they can't see the relevance of what I'm imparting.
