      @@cyathoris7530 not trying to be super duper technical but exhaled breath still contains O2, just the ratio is different (free air: 20% O2, 0.04% CO2; exhaled breath: 16% O2, 4% CO2), that's why mouth-to-mouth during CPR works although not widely used anymore

      Swimming is effortless though, you learn it when you’re like 5. What isn’t effortless is the competition of it. Having to compete and win is hard.

      195 cm is 1.95 m long not 12.5. 12.5m is 41 feet tall or same as a small whale.
      At 1.95 m he is same as an elephant.

      LoL me too man, in the final tests of the course, we had to do triangle station in dive , a total distance of 30 meters, bro that shit hard asf, u need to remain calm and glide when you feel you have to breath. Proud of myself i finished the course, and 3 months before that i didn’t even know how to swim lol

    Reminds me of ‘88 USA Olympian Dave berghoff. He won gold in Seoul using his own unique swimming style called the berghoff blast off. Once off the platform, he would stay underwater til he got to where the flags are in the pool. He’d only take a few strokes before touching the wall heading bk and winning the race. It was soon outlawed but what a sight to see. 🇺🇸🇺🇸🇺🇸

      Back then you only need to do like 1 stroke minimum to compete
      And dolphins kick being the fastest technique because its performed under water thus doesn't create wave drag

      @@grapeman8612 exactly. which started after the 88 Olympics. They have a change in color of the lane dividers to signal to the swimmers their signal to surface or be DQ’d.

      I grew up swimming with Dave and his brother Kevin. Dave's daughter is on pace to be a world record holder also in backstroke.

    Am a highschool swimmer and i think its amazing how he is able to keep straight and not go side ways like i always do. I do undertand it takes practice and stuff but i think its freaking amazing

    Oh oh oh geez!!!
    I watched this, and put my phone in my pocket.
    I must have either touched the comments button with my finger or something and four hours later when I pulled my phone out and turned it on, the top of the screen was locked on the top bit visible at the very start of the video and it gave me a good 3.89 seconds of thinking my screen cracked.
    Now I’ve got all this adrenaline pumping through my body and there’s nothing wrong so I’m literally 😭 in tears.

    The deeper you dive, the more momentum you burn up returning to the surface. A shallower dive will produce a further distance.
